It was a date lunch for my husband and I and what a pleasant surprise Mad Pizza delivered. We ordered the pastrami Royale sandwich, split it and then indulged in a few of their bite size desserts. The pastrami royale was outstanding made with fresh bread. The bread is a special Pizza type bread, very light and flavorful made everyday in the morning. My boyfriend and I visited to try a new pizza spot and ordered the Italian-style pepperoni pizza. It was slightly greasy but overall very good. The person at the register provided excellent service -- polite, attentive, and accommodating when we asked for a few extra items. The cook came out to ask how everything was, and when we said it was good, he replied, "Italian style, not American." We took it lightheartedly and continued enjoying our meal. However, the experience took a turn when I ordered a slice of cheesecake for dessert. It was hard, dry, and had a brown spot on the side. When I asked the cashier about its freshness, he checked with the cook, who responded, "It's not dry," without even looking at it. Bring your water bottle & ice. I've been twice, and taken someone each time. The pizza is really good. But a few things mar the experience. First - the drink experience. They refuse to provide a simple cup of water. The only have chilled drinks for purchase, and no ice or cups for those drinks. Also, all tables are high with high stools. We didn't go for the pizza I wanted dessert. The pictures I saw online of the chocolate looked so good. Looks are deceiving. I will not go back, the cake was so dry and way too sweet and it had a hint of some kind of fruit, not sure what it was. I went in to try this place for the first time. Hoping it was going to be great. Honestly wasn't a fan. Customer service wasn't very good they were too busy cleaning a table ( it was empty, no other customers) to even greet us. Then we had to wait until she was done and in order for her to help us. They were just odd. And the environment felt off. I don't know how to explain it. The pizza that was sitting out was the one they were going to give us. I asked how long it was sitting out and she didn't answer. That's a little disturbing to know pizza you could get could be sitting out for hours and they just reheat it. I was initially a little apprehensive because I'm not a huge sun dried tomato person, but the sun dried tomatoes were different than what I've had before. I'm a foodie and i just moved to Morgan Hill and looking for a good pizza place in town. This is the second time i ordered from Mad Pizza world (first time was just like the second time but i wanted to give them a second chance) As far as staff they are very nice and polite and location is cozy and cute to say the least however things changed when i tried their pizza, It wasn't cooked properly and there was soft raw dough in pizza and stromboli, we tried different things and it was the same theme across the board for pizza as well, The only one i liked was San Daniele pizza Smile (hence the two stars) , needless to say this is after i left the note in my order for EACH item to be crispy and cooked properly. Stopped in especially for the bakery, after seeing comments on Next Door. Ordered a Nutella chocolate cake, a layered coffee and chocolate cake and a mille feuille. When we opened the box, we got a pana cotta instead of the mille, and the cakes were stale. The whip on top was hard, and the cakes were so dry and pasty, tasted like old refrigerated cake. I was hoping this place would be tasty. So they do not do pieces by the slice you have to buy what's on display which is either 12 inch or 24 inch pizza. Or you can pick a pizza strip on their menu. We ordered the four cheese pizza strip without blue cheese. I told him three times no blue cheese and he asked if we didn't like it I said no it's like moldy cheese. They did not leave the blue cheese off. The crust of the pizza is hard to explain I would compare it to a crunchy version of Pizza Hut's pan pizza that's baked in oil. The four cheese strip was $11. This newly upcoming pizza restaurant is the place to be. They have a good selection of Roman style pizzas, stromboli, and kids pizza. They also have a smile (which is a round pizza folded in half) and a strip (which is a French bread I believe that has the toppings on top. I've been here several times and everything has been delicious. My favorites are the Roman style "El Dorado" and the thick crust "Monster" pizza. I've also had one of the strombolis and that was amazing as well. The one thing I will say to watch out for: don't order the "Devil" pizza unless you can handle extra spicy foods (it was delicious but just a bit too spicy for me!). We came here the first time when they had just opened, and they've made some good improvements since then. They now have a case of desserts that look amazing, but we're always too full to try them! Only comment would be to allow adding/swapping toppings on the DD menu. I would love to add pepperoni to the Veggie Valley and prefer the supreme with pepperoni instead of chicken. Delicious! Had a pizza strip and it was the perfect size for sharing for two considering this was second lunch. Most people would probably eat the whole slice. The crust was very satisfying, crunchy but not the type of crunchy that scraped the roof of your mouth, and soft and doughy on the inside. The little blue pizza box is fancy and fun! ambiance is a bit strange for me, just wasn't a big fan of the whole design, etc. However, the service was great. For the style of pizza they make it was pretty darn good but it's just not my favorite style. Nothing bad about the place at all, overall it's good and I will be back. My daughter and I came into this new pizza shop in morgan hill. Thought we'd give it a try, located near downtown. Not very busy I guess with it being brand new and hidden off the main strip. We were greeted by a young sweet girl, she shared with us what was popular. Pastries were available, reminded me of pizza my heart, you can order specialty pizzas or select one of the premade pizzas and they heat it up for you. We've done carry-out 2-3 times now. I really love their crust, it's fluffy and soft while still being crispy on the bottom and around the edges. They also have a really nice char on them. Some may argue it's "burnt," as I saw some people post on local Facebook pages, but I would argue it's more of a purposeful char! It looks extra toasty but it tastes great. Service has always been quick and friendly. Most people seem to do carry out. But it's a nice cozy dining space. read more

The roman pizza we ordered was very tasty. The price was reasonable. Excellent service, friendly and helpful. The interior was immaculate and fresh uncluttered design. My only critique would be that it seemed unusual to have a combo of pizza and pastry. The pastries looked wonderful, but, people don't combine a high carb pizza lunch with a high carb dessert. They will not expect the pastries and it concerns me that all that work and expense to create those lovely pastries will be a waste. Perhaps, chicken wings or salads? So some constructive feedback below: I'm going to coin a term "Diner's Guilt" because we were the only ones in the restaurant that got food during our time there. Multiple people had been waiting for food from when we arrived until when we left. There was a back and forth about whether the thick crust pizza was available, does that mean it's shipped in and not made? My knowledge of restaurant operations pretty much starts and ends at watching two seasons of the bear but there seems to be some sort of "Expo" issue getting the orders prioritized for diners vs. getting the slices to the front for quick-serv.
