ALEXIA AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Very helpful she was kind and very welcoming, she assisted in a very hostile situation with another horrible co worker named TAMMY! I appreciate more people like Alexia, she makes customers feel welcome and want to return and give more business. read more

Great selection. And the "sales"helped keep it in my price range. Easy to find exactly what I wanted. Was able to purchase more with the savings. Too complete a couple of outfits. Wish they had a better shoe section. read more

Sad to consider this the new standard for a Macys. An incident in the makeup department was beyond poorly handled by the manager Adam physically intimidated and threatened someone to leave until he caused reactive abuse. Not only creating an unsafe environment for customers, but for the employees. He defied the orders of the police involved further escalating the situation. Security was not alerted until after the fact and the store manager could not be bothered to address the situation. I would NOT consider this a SAFE location, nor a location worth giving my business to despite being the only Macys in town. read more

This is the second smallest Macy's I've ever been in, but it's the only Macy for about 45-50 miles and it's local to me. I like shopping here it's never crowded and you can find some great clothes. They do have a few lines of clothing that I'm not sure who buys them. The handbag department does not carry Coach, which most Macy do. They have better than average sales staff, which is saying a lot these days. read more

MACYS has just about anything you need. They have excellent sales and you can get quality products at a reasonable price. We do 90% of our shopping for clothing and household goods at Macy's. I do recommend them. read more

They give away my appointments and it was my Mother's Day present to myself . They never mention getting a text or a phone call to confirm . I showed up right on time to my appointment . Will definitely be finding a different place to do business with . read more

So unfortunately I got to know a Distributor at the perfume counter and was invited to do a perfume show. And when I did do the perfume show unfortunately the gift that I was sent was not what I was promised and also I had two different friends that tried to get a hold of her and get logged in so that they could do the zoom party but never got a response back so for Macy's fragrance I'm gonna give you at two. You know who you are. I'm not happy with the situation and will not return to the Salem Macy's ever again for any sort of product read more

I'm thankful Macys still exists in downtrodden Salem. The employees are always friendly and helpful, and returns are a breeze. The store is well-stocked and parking made simple in the parkade. read more

Macy's cosmetics salespeople need better training! I was there last night looking at a Best buy item of blush and shadow. The makeup kit did bit have a display out so I wondered how the set closes up for my makeup bag. I ask one Clinique person and I got "I don't know!". Did she offer to open box so we could check it out? No! She calls another salesperson over and she replies "I don't know"! Do you ladies know how to offer customer service? No wonder I buy more makeup at Ulta! read more

Very upscale location. Totes worth driving in from the West. Love, love, love the sale prices. Parking garage is very confusing - maybe they should have valet. read more

This is a better Macy's than the one at Lancaster Mall, but it is more crowded. While I like the selection more, I don't feel as if I have as much intimacy with the products like I do across town. I love love love Macy's but really don't like their kitchen stuff. They support Martha Stewart and I just can't get on board with that old bag. Not that I care about her insider secret stuff, but her products scream stuffy and stuck up. And even the non-MS stuff isn't that nice either. read more

I'm a fairly patient person, so I don't make this review lightly. Macy's has the worst customer service EVER in the women's (and all associated women's clothing) department. I have had terrible experiences repeatedly that I absolutely avoid that department at all costs. Seriously, I pay more to shop at Nordstroms so I can have decent and typical customer service. Terrible, terrible, terrible. read more

Total waste of time to order online. I stood in line for 15 minutes waiting for the shit i ordered online, when i could've gone upstairs, picked it out myself and paid for it. Macy's is falling apart. The place is gross, the employees don't give a fuck and everything takes too long. read more

I ordered rugs, with a 3 day delivery, that was over a month ago. The bill has arrived and payments made just no rugs. I have called 4 times with no return calls, was informed that there was a $40.00 charge for delivery that was not told to me. I'm hoping for a delivery soon read more

I recently purchased five items and went into the store to pick the items up after receiving the email. Estella, the woman at the counter was extremely rude and unhelpful. She barely offered a greeting and handed over a small bag. I must have misread the email and told her I had ordered multiple items. She snapped back in a very rude and annoyed tone stating they were on back order. That's all she responded with, told me the receipt was in the bag and walked away. I was appalled by how rude she was for me simply stating I had ordered multiple items. There are plenty of people who need jobs. Maybe you should replace her with someone who actually provides good customer service. read more

The clinique counter employees here need to learn basic customer service. The employees here are so snobby, FYI Macy is NOT HIGH END. Seriously, even the people at Kohls (cheaper prices) are friendlier! read more

I get good service here and usually find what I need and save money while using coupons or whatever is sent to me in the mail. 3 stars for having to pay shipping for something they are out of stock on when I can buy it practically anywhere else and they offer free shipping. Other than that, I good clothing store. read more

If I were a Golden Girl, I would love this Macys. But alas, I'm no Golden Girl. The space is airy and feels "golden" -- the lighting, the walls -- everything seems golden. Weird. Sure its nicer and bigger than the Lancaster Mall location -- but it has not intimacy. The Washington Square location is a decent one...and probably the best one in Oregon. The only thing that saves this place from a one star rating is its basement furniture section -- rather decent in size and quality. But again, if you want Macys furniture -- go to the Clackamas Town Center location -- where they have a whole Macys Home Store -- dedicated to nothing but furniture. read more

This once acclaimed department store is in a swift decline. I have always chosen Macy's above other department stores because I knew the quality of my purchase would be worth the extra pennies. During yesterday's visit, there was a significant absence of staff manning registers or being available to answer questions. I walked away from two customer service areas because the associate was no where to be seen! The store was not crowded. The staff seemed extremely indifferent. I took notice that the quality of merchandise was equivalent to what I might find in the large discount stores! Name brands that I had grown to depend on were noticeably absent. Prices were not reduced, however. I can see why they are closing stores! read more

After sharing my concerns with the manager, I was very pleased with his prompt response and attention to the situation. I stopped in a couple of days ago and found the place in much better shape. Understaffing still seems to be an issue, but that is the fault of corporate and if they don't want to lose money to online shopping, it's on them to get their act together. I'll stop in again in a few days but I did want to update this review to commend the manager for his professional handling of the situation. read more

I wrote a review this morning giving Macy's a 1 star rating due to my experience yesterday. Howevwr, I now changing it to a 5 star as the Store Manager calked me and gave me a very nice discount on purchases I needed but dud not get yesterday. Due to this, I will agsin shop at Macy's m Thank you John!! read more

NEVER buy from their online store, you will regret it. This company has the absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered. My husband and I have been fighting with them for 3 months now to get a charge off of our credit card we have through them that was given to us when we signed up for our wedding registry. They sent us a broken piece of furniture, we called the same day and they said they would send us the exact same piece of furniture for no charge. But what happened? They charged us. Without informing us in any way, they sent us gift cards to match the amount we were charged to pay off the credit card but on the back of the card it says gift cards cannot be used to pay off credit cards and the amount did not match! So unethical. My husband has spent 7+ hours on the phone with Macy's.com customer service only to have lip action and nothing get done and having every person tell us something different. Avoid this store. I will never recommend any of my friends to go here for their wedding registry or for anything else in that matter. read more

I have never had a problem with Macys up until today. I have a boot that I bought on black friday, it broke yesterday. I went to return it today, they took my macys card to look up the purchase. Not only did the employee not take my shoe to make sure she had the right purchase, but another employee argued with me when I told her that I paid more for my boot then what the return receipt said. I told her that they must have found a different shoe. She proceeded to tell me that basically she had to narrow down and guess which shoe since it was so long ago. Also that I was lucky that they were even returning it because they have 160 day return policy and this was a stretch, so even if it was the wrong shoe (lower price return) that I should be happy. Which in the past I was told it was a year return policy. The employee was rude, and not helpful at all. I paid $120 for this boot and the employee wanted to refund me ONLY $52. No, not gonna happen! Ridiculous read more

I was in the store yesterday for a couple hours shopping & I lost an item I always wear on my waistband. I visited several sections so I contacted the shoe dept by phone to see if anyone had found it. They said they had to ask their lost & found section to see & they would call me back. I haven't heard from them yet & kinda believe I won't cos they're so busy &/or will forget. Their phone system has no selection for a lost & found dept nor a general operator or receptionist so I have no idea how to contact the store to ask about my lost item. Neither does it recognize the "0" button to get a real person on the line. read more

i attended the high st store june 26 based on advertisements that were confirmed by staff to be erroneous. the 3 hr drive and the much disappointed 80yr old mother was beyond inconvenient. i endeavoured to call the customer service at 8:45pm pst and was essentially chasticed in that the agent was on the east coast and clearly not trained to assist. patience prevails. sad to see that macy has training issues as well. i sent an email expressing my concerns with the resolve that i would not return. to my delight i recv'd a call from a rep from the store who stated that 'now' they have the item required. we arranged to have the item, plus another, billed to my credit card and shipped to the resort we were vacationing at into the following wk. the eta for arrival (giving them 120 hrs to deliver) was acceptable. 132 hrs later 1 item arrived. we were checking out of the hotel. upon arriving home to bc we recv'd a call from the hotel that a 2nd parcel arrived. the hotel was kind enough to forward the parcel. this additional shipping added $70 to the cost of the item and ...here's the kicker... it was the wrong item and $90 more than advertised. i later learned that macy's (tho confirmed the order and recv'd payment in full at 11:30 june 27 ) they processed the parcels monday june 30th. i have endeavoured to reach someone within the organization byway of links to customer service lines (waiting for supervisors who will not pick up) and calling the store manager (which was to have been john fay ext 5171 but got jean hopes voice mail instead) at 5:20pm pst but now realize there is no communication with the organization, no code of conduct, no minor gesture of honesty, accountability or reliability. the consumer can not communicate with anyone empowered or even concerned about the quality of care. macy's existence is stunning and likely accidental in this most wanting of economies. if there was a score lower than 1 i would chose this as more accurate. sad sad dept store. my cost over all is now $200 over a simple purchase of a pot!!! oh and the gift to be recv'd with a lancome purchase ($150) never arrived please in future could you at least take down the email address correctly and advise folks that you are less than ethical in your charges - in the rest of the world this is called theft read more
