I had never tried using the Smith machine aspect of the machine until a few weeks ago, when I found out that the bar had originally been installed backwards, making it impossible to do this one function. I called Portland Fitness Equipment and learned that this company bought the Exercise Equipment NW a few years ago, and is now owned by different people. They were under no obligation to help me, but they nevertheless, went out of their way to come out to my house within a week, and fixed the machine - a fairly labor intensive job requiring two people - for a nominal fee. Fantastic service!
