I used to love this store. Before the pandemic I would shop here often and bring my family to shop here. Lately, the availability of new, quality products has gone downhill. I just left the store after coming here for the third time. I do most of my shopping online now. I learned I have to return sunglasses in one counter, makeup in another and the rest of the stuff in another counter. I wasn't able to find people in two of the counters before and today I was told a couple of items are past the 30day return policy. I shop here so much I have a Platinum card but that didn't make a difference. One of the sales people who offered to make an exception said I would get my money back in the form of a check in 30 days. I'm so sad there is no reason for me to shop here again. Horrible return policy, hard to fine help at the store, products available and quality are low. I could come here to do my morning walks but even that I would prefer to do somewhere else where at least my business is appreciated. I absolutely don't recommend shopping here but if you must please keep all the above in consideration. read more

I now totally understand why the Macy's in Plantation has a poor 2 star rating. Went over there with a $200 - $300 budget in mind to buy a men's blazer. Wife usually does all my men's shopping, but I decided to pick my own blazer on a Tuesday afternoon. Once I found the Blazer section, I was overwhelmed by the selection. It used to be that a salesperson would guide you through the right selection, right fittings, etc. I approached one employee carting stuff in and out and she just pointed where the blazers were and I immediately got the hint that she was to busy and they were under staffed. Maybe she judged me because a wearing flip flops and a old t-shirt on my day off. What happened to customer service when you enter a department and you are greeted by salesperson willing to guide you through a purchase? Anyways, I found a Ralph Lauren Blazer all by my self. Paid and left minus $238.00 The kicker is that 1 button fell off after a week from the Blazer. WTF? No one wonder this company's stock use to trade at $60, now at $16 and soon to be a penny stock. I've been in the store several times. I was here on Wednesday night at 8:30. It was difficult to find sales people around to help or to pay for your things. I finally found two ladies who were talking to a lady with about a phone application on her phone. Finally the one lady asked if she could help me. They had some sales and on the sale rack it mentioned it was 40% off and possibly more. So as I gave her the items I wanted to pay for and said that I wanted to know the price. she mumbled "well the prices are the same as you see on the tag and they're all great prices. She acted as if she was going to start ringing them up. So I reiterated that I want to know what the prices are first. The expression on her face showed that this was a big task for her to do but she did it reluctantly. Customer service really lacks here! read more

As department stores go, Macy's is about average. As Macy's go, this one is not quite up to average. The store is smaller than most and doesn't have much of a selection. We went here a few days ago, looking for table linens. We almost never found them. When we did, the selection was incredibly small, consisting of less than a dozen pieces. Not a dozen styles, but a dozen pieces. They were thrown together on a couple of shelves, with no organization at all. The rest of the store was similar to linens, not well organized and not a lot to choose from. read more

Phone Service sucks !! If I could grade 0, I wouls, wasted 1 hour trying to contact someone. There is no option from the menu to contact toys dept so chose kid (option 6). Store nearly empty not just customers but very few employees. Shoe department is horrible they are so understaffed & out of many shoes on display. Upstairs looks like half of it has turned into a giant rummage sale in their discounted area. Very depressing. Store needs redo. read more

Always come here on vacation for socks, sweats, bras. Has lots of familiar brands. Lots of selection. The clerks are friendly and helpful.

As a general rule, Macy's is pretty decent but nothing exciting. This location in the Broward Mall doesn't even clear that low bar. It's a smaller store to begin with but that alone doesn't necessarily make it a bad store. The employees at this location are by and large more worthless than average with some notable exceptions. The clothes are, for the most part, of lower quality and unless they're having a good sale, the prices are nothing special especially considering the quality. I'd recommend looking elsewhere unless you need something right now or they're having one of they're huge sales. read more

Came to this store to get some essential items for a wedding. They had a pretty good amount of clothes but I didn't find much deals even with it being tax free weekend. The items still felt over priced and expensive. The employees were really kind and helped me find the things I was looking for. I wouldn't advise shopping here often if you have a tight budget. NO STAFF! After collecting over $200 worth of clothes, I asked the associate for 3 of the items in a different size. She didn't know her stock. Macy's Plantation didn't have them so she located them in another store and asked me which was closer. Neither. Then she tried to order them and asked me what shipping speed I wanted. I was not supposed to pay for shipping. She didn't know how to ring this up so I had to walk to another register with her and disrupt the associate who had a long line of customers. Poor people. If I could give it a minus 0 I would. For the second time in a year, my identity was stolen from this branch of Macy's. I live in NJ and someone last year used my identity for a small purchase of $12 in this Plantation, FL store and again this year. I called the fraud dept and THEY SAID they CLOSED my account....they never did! I have not shopped in Macy's in over two years but received a bill last week for $11.80 from this store in Plantation, FL. I called the fraud dept last week to report it and was told that my account was never canceled! In order for the investigation to proceed I would be receiving a form to fill out stating what the problem was AND to forward them a photo ID with my signature to prove who I was.(What did they ask the perpetrator to show before making a purchase?) I got the form on Tuesday and called yesterday. I spent over an hour telling them this was unacceptable. If they can't protect my identity with a store credit card, do they think I'm foolish enough to send sensitive information like this to them??? Well, the rep (who was in Phoenix, by the way)said the investigation could not go forward. She kept apologizing about the account not being closed but did NOT give me any assurance this investigation would move forward. She advised me to go to my local police dept and THEY would have the jurisdiction to call the police dept in Plantation. I went to my local PD who said in no way are they calling that PD. The desk PO wrote a letter attesting to the fact that he saw my photo ID driver's license and that they need to follow up. Needless to say, their fraud dept is worthless. I got yet ANOTHER letter from them today (a form letter, no less) stating that I needn't pay the disputed amount but the remainder...WHAT??? then it said $0...they couldn't even write a personalized letter. I have my doubts that anything further will be done. I have heard through a friend of mine that someone she knew had thousands illegally charged at Macy's and had to get a lawyer involved before anything was done. Please check your statements CAREFULLY no matter what stores you shop in. I was totally surprised to see a bill from Macy's since as I said it has been several years since I shopped there and needless to say will NEVER step foot in one EVER again. read more

This is my favorite place to shop and never had an issue til today. Ordered online and went to the store to pick it up. A lady by the name of Patrice.. WHO WAS NOT BUSY. Refused to help me she said "there is no one there." So I said to her can you please call someone then? I guess she did and as I'm listening to her she has the nerve to say she's with 3 other customers!!?? What?! Lies! I want to shout out to the manager at Broward Mall in the first floor area where you have pick ups and returns. Lorrie Niessen spent as much time as necessary to help me with a return of a set of rugs this week. She went out of her way, not only the first time, in the store, to have things straightened out, but again when the correct labels needed to be printed at the UPS Store. It was so refreshing to have a customer service rep be accessible , willing and very capable in finding a solution to my problem. Thanks, Lorrie, and I really appreciate your diligence, courtesy and pleasant manner in handling a pretty messy situation. You remind me of why I shop Macy's, and you certainly made an impression this time. I don't think I've ever seen such a small kids section as I did today at this Macy's. Not much selection at all for kids. It was like just a back wall for both boys and girls. I will never shop at Macy's again. They were having a sale on an item that was $24.99 (and it was even displayed as on sale with the price). When I went to the register, the cashier (her name I believe was Arlene) told me that the item was $29.99 and not $24.99. I even showed her the display matching the item, she refused to honor the sale price. I then asked to see the manager. When she came to the register (her name I believe was Amber), she not only sided with the employee but then RAISED the price to $31.99. I left the store without buying anything (I had other merchandise which I refused to buy after this incident) and reported what happened to corporate. I never heard back. This was not the first time I had customer service issues at Macy's. Therefore I will never shop there again. read more

I think what makes this Macy's better than other stores is their sales associates. Ena works in INC and Michael Kors. She greets me with my name and asks about my family. Their shoe selection is extensive, with a variety of top designers like Coach, Michael Kors, and Guess. read more

Just like the Broward Mall is an average mall, this is an average Macy's. Not that big, but does the job. They do have alot of discounted clothing in this store so be on the look out . . . men's and women's. With all the love the Sawgrass gets, they don't have a Macy's . . and it is nice to have this Macy's a couple miles southeast. read more

On Monday, October 10, 2011 between 1600-1630 hours approximately, my friend, Lisa and I, Mandisa were shopping at Macys located in Broward Mall, 8000 W. Glades Road Plantation, FL 33388 while on vacation in Florida. We were moving around the store selecting items from the Juniors' section. After receiving our numbers, we went to the fitting room with three items. I remained in the fitting room with one top on while Lisa went to retrieve another top in a different size. She shortly returned to the same fitting room with the exchanged garment. Since I didn't like the garments, I decide not to purchase anything. So, Lisa removed ALL the items and personally handed them to the junior fitting room clerk, Rosa. We then left the fitting room and the store. After we exited the store, we were both detained by your employees, Josh and Marcus, who took us separately to the office area to search our belongings. They told us that they needed to search our bags. When questioned, they responded, "they needed to ensure that none of the belongings was theirs." They informed us that we needed to accompany them to the office in the back. After arriving at the back office, they inquired to check our belongings/purses. Lisa emptied her 4x6 black purse on the table. Neither Josh nor Marcus checked or asked us for a receipt before taking us to the office location. Then, Josh and Marcus informed us that they "would have to review the security tape"; Marcus left the room; and when he returned, they informed us that they would call us the next morning after reviewing the security tape. Next, they requested our name and contact information which we supplied. We were then told that we could leave. Today is October 13 and we have not heard from anyone, Josh, security manager, Marcus or store manager, Letea. It is my sincere belief that we received the worst form of privacy invasion, racial profiling and racial discrimination. We were both detained and falsely accused by your employees, Josh and the security manager, Marcus without probable cause. Your employees believed that we stole items from the store because they do not take proper procedures or follow and abide with the policies in your security handbook. It is illegal to detain someone to search their property without first charging them with shoplifting. Either Josh or Marcus needed to either locate or verify with the fitting room clerk, Rosa that the items were returned. If the proper procedures and policies were followed then this type of unlawful arrest and false accusations of shoplifting would not have occurred. The excuses from Josh, Marcus and Leta were dismal to say the least. Provide employee training sessions to prevent racial profiling and discrimination and a standard rule of thumb for everyone that provides no room for stereotypes, biases, prejudices and assumptions. I strongly encourage that all Macys' employees be properly trained and managers receive crisis-management and problem solving skills. In addition, I strongly recommend that Josh, Marcus and Leta deserve to be permanently suspended. I REPEAT, I WILL NEVER SHOP IN MACYS AGAIN, IN ANY OF YOUR STORE(S) OR ONLINE. read more

I'm not sure that I like store employees or anyone for that matter treating me poorly. These folks form an assumption on what they believe you will purchase and profile individuals, since I also saw it happen right in front of me to another shopper. After I made a nearly $100 purchase, it was then that the manager made eye contact and smiled and even started a conversation with me. Prior to that it was the cold shoulder and she didn't look up from her computer. Amazing. Also- the styles are old. I haven't really set foot in this particular Macy's in quite some time but I can honestly say that I wasn't missing much. I would equate the women's and juniors section to that of an overpriced Ross or TJ Maxx. Nothing was quite organized and if you had the patience to dig through racks of clothing (in no particular size order) then I would say have at it! The dressings rooms are still old and dingy and definitely in need of a makeover. I remember when shopping at Macy's was a nice experience but there is a noticeable difference between this store and the Galleria/Aventura. I also noticed most of the sizes they carried in XOXO, Guess, and INC were XS or Small. Do they know the average size of an American woman is a 14? They need to have M and L in stock as well if they want to sell anything. Otherwise it will end up on the sale rack in no particular order- what's the definition of insanity?!? read more

I usually go to the Macy's in pines but I met my sister at the Macy's in Broward Mall in plantation and met the most amazing employee named Jinna at the IT cosmetic counter. I observed and heard her helping another customer as I was browsing around and know that I wanted her to assist me too. She was very friendly and personable and seemed so happy and engaged when she was helping the other customer. You don't really see that kind of service anymore. When she was done I asked her for some help and she was as pleasant and friendly as I expected. She really went the extra mile to assist me as well. The best part is that you can really tell that she enjoys what she does and she enjoys helping customers. This makes such a difference in my shopping experience. Even my sister said WOW you must really love your job and I don't get this same service so I'm going to start coming to you(Jinna). Thank you so much Jinna...you really made my day! Macy's I hope you take good care of Jinna because you and I both know that its not easy to find employees that are personable and fully engaged with the customers like Jinna. Went there to buy a certain piece of jewelry there today. Show the person behind the counter s photo of the piece from Macy's web site and told him the designer. Asked me for the item number which I couldn't get because I had no internet. 10 minutes later says to go to the other counter. Asked someone there where the designers section was and rudely pointed and said "at the end of the counter." Found the piece and went to purchase and was yelled the credit card payment directions from a cubicle. Came out and said thanks and walked away. read more

I purchased a Clinique product. I mistakenly thrown out the receipt like most ppl. The Sales Associate selceted print for me without my knowledge of my receipt sent to my email. I had an awful skin reaction on my face (felt like super-glue stuck on my face)my skin burned and skin on my fingers peeled from using the product. I had 1/3 return labels and was told I cannot return it unless I had a Macys Card where my purchase history can be searched. I used my debit card- before I could explain what happend, I was rudely cut off while talking by Macys HR and the Operater. I was LIVID. I called Macys Coral Springs and told them what happend. Sue from Clinique in Coral Springs looked up my purchase by date, my debit card and made the effort to replace the return label. In 5 minutes she provided outstanding customer service. Thank You SUE from Clinique MACYS CORAL SPRINGS. Macys Broward deserves 1 star but Macys Coral Springs gets 5-my new Macys location. read more
