Look for Armando in the shoe dept.! He's very nice an helpful!! This review is based on my experience on 8/21/14 at the Macy's home and family store at Dadeland. I was looking for shorts for my son and saw a pair that I really liked though it was not the correct size. I went up to the counter and nicely asked the two people who were there if they could help me find a pair of shorts of the correct size. The young man at the counter quickly replied "whatever is there is what we have" without even offering to help look around. So I asked if he would help and he didn't even move and looked at me like I just asked him something totally crazy. I had to boldly say to him "oh you can't help me?" so he gave me a very bothered look and hesitantly pretending to go around looking through some clothes and said he couldn't find them. I really had to hold my tongue because I so wanted to give him a piece of my mind. I ended up buying 4 pairs of shorts anyway as my son needed them and he kept leering at me. I almost said to him "you got something to say" but being that I'm a mature adult and had to go pick up my son I let it go. I believe his name was Justin and he really should give someone else with better customer service skills do his job! It's a shame because I shop at this Macy's a lot as it's the closest one to me. read more

This location is alot better than others I have been to. Although it can get crowded and busy they have a wonderful home section complete with wedding registry section. This Macy's is alot neater too and does not feel as crowded as other Macy's I have been to. The prices at Macy's are a bit steep and I find that you can find some of the same brands elsewhere at about 1/4 less of the price. This location is conveniently located near lots of yummy dining places! Good luck beating the traffic and finding parking. read more

I walked into the home & children's department hoping to: A) score some free Nespresso coffee (let's be real here) and B) find my God baby some cute little outfits. Y'all. I'd normally write a review on the service, if someone was rude/if they were great, if I came across an unimaginable thing on the floor inside the store or anything along those lines. But I couldn't even focus on anything else because I was concentrating on not dying from a heat stroke!!! I kid y'all not it was like the 7th pit of hell. It was like a sweatshop (the poor employees were sweating). You would've thought everyone inside the store had just ran 40 miles. It was unbearable and I was just there a few minutes. I asked some people why it was so hot and with tears welling in their eyes they said it was always like that. I didn't get the coffee sample or else I would've croaked and this God Mama failed at buying my baby girl new outfits; instead I went and got ice cream. read more

Although it's one of the more congested malls in Miami, Dadeland's Macy's has the largest variety in the area, period. Once you make your way into the garage and snag a spot, you're moments away from everything you need. The sales sections here rock because of the exuberant amount of inventory. I had an issue with an online order but the one if the managers Susana helped me out with my return and made it possible to get my credit back even though there was a glitch in the system. Dadeland has a little bit of everything but the fact that the children's and furniture Macy's is separate from the Women's store stops me from buying pans together with my shoes which stops me from spending too much money in one spot or inevitably makes me walk to the other side and back. I like coming in and out quickly here so I'd say it's easier than the other locations. read more

Although this is my go-to mall, customer service in the women's shoe department at Macy's needs to STEP IT UP! For starters, it always seems that they are short staffed. The majority of the women working on the floor are super rude and make it seem as if you are bothering them when you ask for help. They act uninterested, point blank. Yesterday I went to purchase a pair of sandals, and I stood in front of an employee waiting patiently for her to acknowledge me since she was on the phone. After she gets off the phone she doesn't even look at me and points to her left and says "if you need a shoe you need to go over there". Gee thanks. . .once I walked over "THERE" I again received the worst customer service EVER. Although it was nice to be moved up in line, I found it super rude that the sales lady made me skip everyone in front of me just so she can make a sale. The people in line in front of me were there for returns or to pick up a pair of shoes they had already purchased. She disregarded them just to ring me up to make a sale. The other customers were complaining and I don't blame them. I love Macy's, but having staff that behave in this manner will cause customers to leave. Just last month I walked in for a pair of shoes and had such a terrible experience that I left without trying on my shoes that took me almost 30 minutes just to receive. read more

In October I went to Macys Dadeland store 3 times. I needed a formal gown, so on my first visit I shopped & tried on gowns. There was a big selection, but after I chose a dress no sales help. A number of customers were waiting at a register for someone who disappeared on a price check. I ended up at a lingerie register & told the associate I needed hemming alteration. I was advised that alterations had closed & I needed to come back with shoes to go with the gown. So after picking a dress it took over 30 minutes to pay for it. Second visit - I go back to formal dresses. They send me to customer service on another floor, customer service sends me back to dresses, dresses sends me to R Lauren counter. There associate calls a manager who then takes me to alterations (same floor as customer service), but seamstress is at lunch. The manager says seamstress will meet me in 15 minutes by dressing room upstairs where she takes me. After waiting at least 20 minutes I go to check other dressing room & find the seamstress there. That took over an hour altogether. I was told to return in a week, so my third visit was to pick up the dress. When I got to the register in dresses the seamstress was there as another customer was picking up an alteration. Problem was the clerk was new & kept making errors, then having to void & start transaction again. While I waited 2 other associates tried to help. The seamstress offered to get my dress & return, but the other customer, understandably frustrated, insisted that the seamstress stay at the register until their transaction was finished. I next went to customer service & asked for a manager. After all of that - about an hour, the manager Alejandra got my dress & arranged for me to try it on. The seamstress Esperanza/Hope did a great job, so the 1 star is for her & Alejandra, but I will not be going back to that Dadeland store. read more

I wanted to order online. I could have done it in less than 5 mins. But the Security Code on my Discover was not taking it, it keeps giving me an error! I called 1-800#, which happened to be located in Florida, the girl behind the customer service was SO DANG SLOW, I was falling asleep! After she asked for my email address, she asked me: Portland, Oregon? What about it? That's my city & state. Each time she asked me a question and I answered, she was polite enough to say: thank you. But, she can't type fast enough, and she talked really slow. My grand daughter can talk a mile a minute, and draws fast, but this woman is typing so slow, that I finally got so frustrated, CANCELLED MY ORDER and hanged up! People behind Customer Service should have at least 2-3 years of basic KEYBOARDING SKILLS. I saved $248.00 today! Update: I bought brand new towels today, I thought I will replace my wash cloths, hand towels & bath towels, in colors that MATCHED. I'm tired of the towels we've had for 20 years, there's nothing wrong with them, I got them each for $4.99 CLEARANCE @ Mervyns' If anyone remember who they were!!!! Yep, that long ago! When I got them, they came in 3 different shipment, but they were soft but not absorbent enough. If I want to wipe the tiles, that's like spreading the water around, but it's not going in the towels, the paper towels can do better than that! I felt like I just wasted my money again! Honestly? I tend not to be a tough critic because I keep an open mind and try to be considerate of all situations. This weekend I needed to go to a place that would be a one-stop shop to purchase my son's 8th grade graduation outfit. I figured Macy's would have me covered. To our delight, it really did with regard to product. We found just the shirt, slacks and tie that he needed. Considering that he is 14 and in that awkward lanky and thin stage, I was pleased with the speed by which we found stuff (on our own). It was not until we reached the shoe department that it all somewhat unraveled, and did so quickly. Don't get me wrong, we found the shoes we needed and at a reasonable price at that. But when it was time for check out, the staff were less than helpful. Apparently, there is a rule that if the person did not help you find the shoes, they cannot help you check out. So, while I waited behind a problem customer who was being checked out by the gentleman that helped me, customer after customer was able to check out beside me because their particular sales rep happened to be free. Are you telling me that because of a skewed commission-based system, the common values of customer service go out the window? Add to that the fact that the AC was not working well so it was getting warm. I kid you not: It took me 20 minutes to find all the products I needed, but over 30 minutes standing in a line where several store reps stood by "unable" to check me out. HORRIBLE! read more

So the other day I got a call from City Furniture. The set that I ordered a couple if months ago at that time it should be here in July is now not coming in till September. I am so tired of all of this . All I would want is to get my money back for everything. I think they should stand by there customers. I can not get any where. I will never go back to them. I think that they have no idea how to help pe I people. They have no customer service people that can help you. I think if they can not help me with my money back I will have to take them to court. I know this Macy's has been an anchor here for decades but I also dread coming here. Customer service is very inconsistent. When I went to the dress department to return a never worn dress the saleswomen were clearly annoyed I interrupted their personal conversation to ask for help with the return. But when I went to the Alfani section on the second floor, the saleswomen were very kind and helpful. The bathrooms on the second floor are absolutely atroucious and unsanitary. They really need to take care of that. read more

What has happened to this place? My beloved Macy's where I always received such great customer service has certainly deteriorated. During a visit near closing time, with clothes in hand, we tried in vain to find an open register or assistance of any kind. Despite asking multiple staff for assistance or directions, we were repeatedly ushered away with a flick of a wrist and no assistance. "Where can we pay, please?" we asked time and again. This place give me a headache. There I said it, it's true especially the spritzer girls and the shoe department. Somebody from one of the makeup counters stopped me and asked if I wanted to sample their new lip stain and I very politely said No thank you I really don't use makeup. She had the nerve to tell me that it isn't makeup. What the heck was she talking about? She works at a makeup counter for a makeup company, and she had just told me that the lip stainer could double as blush. How could she even try to convince me it wasn't makeup, it was ridiculous and borderline insulting but also kind of hilarious. I usually just head straight for the second floor to the area to the left of the escalator. I sometimes make the mistake of going to the shoe department only to find myself in the middle of a mess. My suggestion is to try to go during the week and avoid this place on the weekends. And if you do have to go on the weekends go early and leave pronto. read more

This review is specifically for the Benefit Brow Bar: I recently had an eyebrow-shaping disaster (see my reviews) and didn't let anyone near my brows for a good month and a half. Needless to say, they were a little wild when I sat on the little stool at the Brow Bar. Without a word, the brow-maven took her tweezers (I'm allergic to wax :( ) and went to work. She did one side and let me approve before she went on to the other. In a few minutes I had perfect brows. Definitely worth the price. read more

Racism and bigotry should not be tolerated or accepted by anyone. In fact this should be eradicated by Macy's swiftly and entirely. When shopping for a mattress at the Dadeland Macy's my parents were faced with the ugly face of hatred and bigotry. On April 20, 2018 an agent by the name of Jean, in the credit department discriminated against my parents because they speak English with an accent. This is the second highest grossing Macy's in the country in large part because of the international visitor. In addition, Miami had an extremely diverse population and people with many different accents. Jean repeatedly asked my mother is she wanted a Spanish speaking agent, my mother said no, that she understood everything perfectly well. Jean persisted, and persisted and persisted. The sales associate Silvia, also tried to speak with her, but to no avail. She wouldn't give her any information either. Then I got on the phone and the truth came out, she didn't want to deal with them because she couldn't understand anyone!! WHAT? My parents have lived here for 57 years and have led very productive lives. They could have paid for the $5500 mattress in full, I told them to do the 1 year interest free payments because it makes sense, not because they are in financial distress. I addition, they both have excellent credit scores. My mother has spent so much money at Macy's, they should pick her up with a limo to go shopping. Jean just could not understand them? Really? The story has a good ending. Once the manager, Nancy Wigglesworth, was called in, everything went smoothly. She called the credit department and straightened everything out. The mattress is being delivered on Friday. To Macy's credit team I say you should reevaluate your hiring criteria, no one as racist and bigoted and Jean should get by your HR department. And to Jean I say, Just because someone speaks with an accent does not mean they think with one. read more

Wow what a experience!! The store looks nice with Christmas decor but you go to women's bathroom and u would think u just came out of a dumpster. Worst bathroom experience ever . Did not expect it from this location especially let alone from a Macy's The floors dirty , toilets clogged up and Roaches !!!! Yup I can't believe it but roaches . I'm pregnant and had to really go bathroom but I could not. Worst thing I've seen . Didn't shower this morning? No problem! Just walk down the red carpet center of this Macy's and say "Si" or "Yes" to all the perfume mongers. They'll have you smelling like a French whore in under a minute. That is the down side to this location. Trying to dodge them is like playing a game of Sharks and Minos. But the rest of the store is awesome. I don't know much about clothes or brands. So I like to be able to wander around till I find a section I like. I went to look at some shoes but was too expensive, but changing my mind to go to Payless. Nevertheless the employees were still helpful in directing me to the correct place, the Macy's was had very shiny floors, it was very neat, and not to mention HUGE. The store was very organize and you can clearly tell the employees give a darn about what they're doing. My favorite part was when I walked through 6-8 counters of perfume that smelled so good. read more

I was born in New York City, so obviously I have a high standard for Macy's. Considering this is supposed to be one of the top 5 Macys in the country, it's nothing special in my opinion. Do they have lots of clothing and styles, yes of course, are they good, yes of course, are the prices too high, yes of course! Another thing is that it's just too many people in your face asking you questions, giving you cologne, and whatever else they can make a commission off of. I know they are doing their job and they want to make money, but man, Macys should cut the customers a break. All the lights/music/atmosphere in the middle of the store is very nice and exciting, but it's because of that excitement that makes you buy stuff. Go with caution, and don't be afraid to walk away from something, you might find it cheaper somewhere else. read more

Staff definetely needs some customer service training. I am very big on that and this store is in dire need of it. Twice in the last week I visited the store to be dissapointed with their help. The jewelry dept is a joke. I waited over 15 minutes for help that never came; apparently they only had one worker staffing the more expensive jewelry counters. In the lingerie, there was one lady that kept on telling me there were no more options of a certain item I needed while I was in the fitting room. So I had to get dressed and find those other items myself (and there plenty to be had). In the suits dept a staff member kept on messing up on my sale by not giving me credit for the coupons I had. Very frusrltrating. She rang my sale up no less than 4 times. Macys is def my last resort. And I don't bother with those pesky and unhelpful salespeople. Benefit Brow Bar: First off, they did a good job with my eyebrows. No complaints. But when I sat down and the girl that was going to start doing my brows started cleaning off the workspace I tried to tell her how I like my brows thick, etc. and she just didn't respond... at all. I tried to continue by saying "I've heard you guys are really good!" and still no response as she picked up. So I just sat there hoping she heard that I didn't want half of my brows waxed off. It was really awkward and honestly kind of annoying. Also after I payed and the cashier handed me the receipt, she also handed me a small envelope that said "TIP" on it. I was really insulted especially because I already had the cash to tip with in my hand, so I just handed it back to her, said "Thank you." and personally gave the girl who helped me the money. Overall, very awkward and they did a good job waxing my brows. read more

I am disabled. I tried to return a women's item ordered online at the Juniors department register because there was no line. I was told no, I need to go to the 2nd floor to women's clothing to return it. I have never heard of such a policy at Macy's. The point is she didn't want to be bothered with my 2 minute return. Off my husband and I go to the 2nd floor looking for women's department and find out womens department is on the 3rd floor. Before returning my item I found something else I liked, but the sale associate wouldn't even look at my promo coupon code that Macys emailed to me. The point is the stories are true. This store as zero customer service. Sends a disabled women on a wild goose chase to make a return then can't be bother entering 5 letters to see if I could use my coupon. Although at times you could find helpful employees, it's not always that way. I came in to get a new bedding for my new apartment; I wanted it shipped to me and the employee made me go behind the desk and put in my own information while she helped someone else. Once she returned the phone was ringing off the hook and would direct each call to voicemail. When I got home i had a question about my order and called. I called each department and no one answered. I could only imagine each of them just directing me to voicemail. Although this department store is always clean, this is not what I call customer service. read more

I love this Macy's! I compare all other Macy's stores to this one. They actually carry brands I want to wear, BCBG, Marc Jacobs, Velvet, Ella Moss, Free People, Tina Turk, Nanette Lepore, Rachel Roy and I buy a lot of work out clothes here at great prices. They are always having a sale which leaves me hesitant to actually buy anything at MSRP, but occasionally I do. I have come to appreciate the great service here. Someone always collects the clothes from me and starts a fitting room. Returns are quick and hassle-less. I do wish the sales racks were more organized. They are never grouped by size and often cluttered with jagged hangers sticking out. read more

Let's just say that customer service can make a difference in a company and I had a very bad experience with one which could've been avoided if she weren't such a creeper. I went to the bathroom on the second floor because the first floor was super packed and the one on the second floor was empty when I walked into it. Thank god. So there's NO ONE there. So I go into a stall and then a woman that works at Macy's comes in (she seemed to be in her 50, I think her name started with an M not sure) and doesn't go into any other stall and then a second women comes in asking her if she's waiting and the worker said no, so the other girl went into another stall. When I finish and walk out of the stall the worker was like do you know that you pulled toilet paper 3 times. Sorry that I like to make sure everything is dry and clean when I'm done with the toilet. After she proceeded to say that I shouldn't be ripping paper that much (she counted the ripping sounds the paper makes when you detach it from the roll) all while giving me a face. She was super rude to me. After giving me attitude (I didn't say anything because I was shocked like is this lady really saying this to me now, but now that I think back I should've told her something) she proceeded to go into the stall that I went to, I don't get why she couldn't go into another stall, all of them where empty. So Macy's please teach your employees to be nice and not a creeper while people are using the bathroom and then attacking them with rude remarks because they have nothing better to do. I've always loved this Macy's, but it has always been a bit out of my way. Now I've been a regular due to the Macy's at International has just become a huge mess. It started to feel like I was shopping at a very disorganized Marshalls.... I love love love their shoe dept. Always sooo many shoes and so little time to try them all on. Shopping on a budget, check out their Clearance towards the back of the shoe dept. The store is HUGE.. so take some time and explore all sections of the store. Parking isn't bad if you park in the garage, right behind the store which is perfect when it's raining. Overall, a pleasant experience and I wiill be coming to this Macy's more frequently than the one at International. read more

Honestly, I don't really have much good to say about a store in a mall. I'm pretty anti-consumerist, so Macy's (or any store) in Dadeland just isn't my scene. That being said, I had time to spare today between doctor's appointments on the mainland, so a quick stop at the LUSH counter (whatever you do, walk fast and don't make eye contact with any of the perfume-sample people) was definitely in order (saves money on shipping when I don't have to order online). I absolutely adore LUSH products. All natural, handmade skin- and hair-care products, w/ LOTS of Vegan products. Limited packaging (LOVE the bar shampoos b/c of the lack of plastic), the people who work at the LUSH counter are always fabulous, and they're always awesome about giving some free samples. Does LUSH make a visit to Macy's of Dadeland worth it for me? Sure, why not? Just as long as my time there is limited, under 1/2 hour is plenty. read more

Furniture Dept gets 5 stars!! They have a great selection & great sales. I bought a sofa there at a great price. The sales man (Tony Gonzalez) was very helpful. I opted to get the extra warranty which is fully reimbursed to me if I don't end up using it. About a week after the sofa was delivered to my house, I received a flyer in the mail that my sofa had a new sales price with an extra 10% off. I called Tony & he was able to credit my account with the difference OVER THE PHONE! I didn't even have to go down there. I got a 12 month no interest finance plan which I will definitely pay back before the 12 months are up. Overall, Macy's is a great place to get furniture! read more

Love macy's. If I could live here I would. Came in to purchase 3 suits. Miriam was the seamstress taking care of me. She is awesome. She kept finding all the sizes that I needed. Even the 1 piece suits that had pants that didn't fit she took care of and switched out. My only complaint is the perfume department. When the staff see you they jump at you like Hawks. A little over whelming. I wanted to purchase a cologne but got discouraged after seeing how they all attacked. read more

I just hate them. I only go there when someone gives me a gift card and even those interactions are too much. Once I had 2 gift cards that I wanted to use in one transaction but the sales rep said it could not combine my gift cards. Then I tried to use one gift card and put the remaining balance on my credit card. They still said I could not complete the transaction. That made no sense to me, maybe the rep was new and didn't know how to complete what I was asking--but I was so upset that they would not process my gift cards I just left the intended purchase on the counter and left. read more

Love! This store is huge! Definitely one of the bigger Macy's. Every employee that approached me was super friendly and helpful. At the g shock counter Danielle helped me pick out a beautiful watch for my girlfriend which I think she'll love! After that I walked around for about an hour or so , probably could have looked around for a few more but ended up at the Origins makeup counter. The lady that helped me (can't remember her name) was so friendly and helped me purchase a whole new set of fabulous makeup! Love this store, will be back! read more

The service in the women's shoe department is abysmal. When asked for two shoe styles, they reported that they had them in my size.after waiting 20 minutes, they told me that they did not have either shoe in the requested size. Furthermore, there are piles and piles of shoes on the checkout counter. There is no wonder they can't find anything. Will pay more at another store for better service. read more

Macy's at Dadeland, formerly Bloomindales (ok, I'm dating myself), has been a long time staple of Dadeland mall. Frankly, I don't know many other mall stores that can get more foot traffic through it. They have the unique setup that the mall runs through the store; in order to get to the other side of the mall, you need to walk though Macy's. The store has been around so long that if you wander around the store, you can see the different type of flooring they have used over the years. The trouble I find with Macy's (and most modern department stores) is that they have no choice but to sell at MSRP for everything. It's unfortunate, but true. A quick search on Amazon and you can save 10% with free shipping and no taxes. The tradeoff is you don't get to walk out (or try on) whatever you are buying. Bottom Line: I've shopped here and will continue to do so, but I will avoid it if possible. Frankly, some things you can just wait and save if you are patient enough. read more

The Macy's at Dadeland Mall is phenomenal! I came here to buy my mom a birthday gift, and all the sales associates were attentive and definitely try to assist you, but they definitely give you that snobby feeling-- some of them, anyways.
