Posting this to warn local shoppers across the area about a major loophole in Macy's return policy. If you use "Star Money" points on a purchase and later have to return your items, their system breaks down and shortchanges your actual cash. On a total out-of-pocket spend of roughly $60 across two items, their system only refunded me approximately $50 when I returned everything. An online supervisor admitted the glitch but refused a manual fix because of my lack of "prior purchase history." Do not fall for the Star Money trap--their system will steal your hard-earned credit card funds on a 100% complete return. Macy's Corporate needs to fix this error and refund my account. read more

Macys is a high-end store. Not at Town east mall. The carpets are disgusting and all kinds of stains. The Elevator has so much filth on those walls. I didnt want my elderly mom in there with me but she can go up elevators. Please give us paying customers respect. We deserve a sanitized bathroom and floors and elevetors. The Crust on the walls. Looks like a 3rd world country Mr. Manager go see for your self. Kids tough those walls. It's uncalled for only because we are not in the best of areas. We do spend are hard earn money. Never buy furniture and the extended warranty from Macy's. We purchased the Hutchenson 7 piece fabric Chaise Sectional with 2 Power Recliners and 2 Consoles Jan 2020 and paid over $3000.00. The furniture was delivered April 2020. We purchased a 5 year warranty "Worry No More Ultimate 5 Year Plan" which the Macy's sales representative said would cover everything. After having the furniture 2 years, the cushions started to break down. We filed a claim in Dec 2022 and a service technician for the warranty company came out in Jan 2023 and said our foam cushions were breaking down and told us that if repairs were approved that they would need to order the new cushions and replace the old. The repair work was denied, telling us cushions were not covered under our plan. My wife disputed it with them several times, especially when we couldn't find anything in the warranty coverage that excludes foam cushions. They still denied the much needed repairs. They claimed Loss Of Resilency isn't covered, even under the 5 year warranty. So Macy's and the Warranty company's not paying the cost of replacing 2 foam cushions will prevent us from ever shopping at Macy's again, especially furniture. And do not buy the Hutchenson 7 piece sectional because it didn't hold up to normal usage for 2 years. read more

We went to the optical department to order new glasses. We where helped by Michelle. She gave us amazing service and was super helpful. Told us which frames were the cheapest and which would work best for our preticular lenses. Five stars all the way around. Absolutely love Michelle!!!! read more

Rarely, literally RARELY am I at a loss for words, my husband can verify this. For starters if you are registered to carry a concealed weapon this is the time you have planned for. You actually have a better chance of catching a STD from the DISGUSTING bathrooms than you do of finding a real employee to help you. And the store is absolutely disgusting, like thrift store disgusting. The escalator looks like it hasn't worked since Carter was in office and the carpet is so nasty and old it could probably walk away on its own. I'm throughly confused why this store is still open. read more

I've had one of my best shopping experiences this Macy's! I had the luck working with this AWESOME Lady named "Divina". FYI, I'm a guy that goes in to a store to buy what I need...that's it. So, I tend not to buy outfits...meaning, I don't look for shirts that may go with my pants or vice versa. Well, this Lady noticed that I was struggling as I was trying to decide which pair of pants to buy. She took charge and advised me of possible choices that were better fits for my type of body. Man, I never expected this type of service at a Macy's! During my fitting, Divina would bring me sweaters that would go with the pants that I was trying out. Let me tell you, this Lady knows style!!! After trying out several outfits, I decided to buy ALL of the choices that she had gotten for me. Note: Even though I'm not a fan of this Mall, I will be returning to Macy's for the AWESOME service that they provide. Note: All of my selections where a great hit with my wife. :) read more

This store would get a lot more business if they had the ac on. It was so hot in the dressing room you can't even try on clothes your so sweaty. I was told they turn the air off at 5pm to give customers a sense of urgency to get in and out! I feel sorry for the employees, that is awful this is Texas it's hotter than hell. They don't pay them enough to sweat. It's cooler outside then inside Macy's. read more

This store is dirty, women's clothes all over the floor, no employees at register. Worst shopping experience ever. Originally went in looking for a winter coat. No coats in women's ended up going somewhere else. I tried to find help and found no one. read more

This was my first time visiting the store, I was just going to pick up an online order, never did I imagine that I was going to be treated so bad and leave this store feeling so upset and disappointed. Your cashier was so rude to me, was talking to me like if I was her child or something, I sure remembered her that I was a customer and her tone of voice and attitude towards me was not really necessary..... she made a huge deal because I didn't have my id with me, asked me If I did not read the email I got from Macy's. First of all it was pouring rain, I ran to the store ro avoid getting wet and left my Id in the car, I had a copy of my US passport on my phone but she still was not satisfied, told me like 3 times that I needed to have an ID present with me....all this in front of other customers, she really made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. For sure, I will never return to this store!!!! read more

We purchased our furniture from Macy's. Several years ago. Luckily we bought the extended warranty plan. It works in the exchange was completed in a timely manner. I recommend this Macy's to anybody. Quality and they stand by their word to protect their furniture. read more

This place has gone down hill! FILTHY floors, FILTHY restrooms. And this place is not at all what I remember it to be. Went here willing to drop about 800 on bedding sheets and pillow and was blown away at how unorganized this Macys is. Prices were not with items on floor. All items were mixed in with each other. All employees were just hanging out and chill in on the clock. Corporate needs to check this place out. Management should be fired for letting this place collapse. Even the entry doors were dirty and some out of commission. All high dollar purses and hand bags were cabled to the floor. What a joke you mean to tell me you have a 300 dollar bag and instead of having a employee work the area to SELL IT you just cable it to the floor so the customer has to find someone to unlock it so they can examine it. LOL. Some one needs to press the reset button. read more

Will never shop here ever again. If you go to their HR office to asked to print out a detailed statement because your house just got robbed and you need the statements to report that to your insurance, they will tell you that you have to bring an officer to do so. What cop will come with to macy's to print out a statement. She still refused to print out my statement after I showed her my police report. Then she told me to call macy's customer service and they can print it out, which I did and they were going to charge me $25 to print out 6 months of statements. My house just got robbed and now macys is robbing me too. Just heads up in shopping at this store. They will not help you, even if you're dying. Oh also I went to best buy and jc penny and they just print my statement out in 2 minutes read more

I purchased a recliner in January that was nothing like the floor model when delivered. Customer service said that the differences with the online description and the actual chair were characteristics of the piece (whatever that means) and since I waited over three days to complain it could not be returned. I waited seven days-shame on me. Their only solution was to talk to the store manager. The store manager will not return phone calls and is never in the store when I go in. Needless to say, I will never shop at Macys again. read more

Last times visited the store I had to wait over twenty minutes to pick up an order. The cashier did not make an effort to attend me as soon as possible. There was only one person there to check out. I decided to move on to the shoe section and ask for a size I waited twenty more minutes to know that they did not have the size I requested. Overall it seemed ver unorganized. read more

Horrible shipping practices. Ordered something first of December and was told it would be here the 18th. Still hasn't arrived and no tracking or shipping information can be found. All I can say is service and going beyond the call of duty still abounds at Macy's at Town East Mall Mesquite Tx. I made a purchase there 12-14-2013. All I could find is was a credit card charge $437 I called the store to see if they could possibly help me find some kind of proof I purchased a Dyson Vac. I was transferred to Jami McNutt | Administrative Support Team Supervisor within a few minutes she had found the proper receipt and left her desk to walk across the store where the Dyson's were at and verified all Numbers, returned and emailed me a copy of the entire transaction that resulted in Dyson replacing a 3&1/2 year old defective product. Result, $437 saved, and an example of the Quality, service and personal at Macy's. Way to go Mrs McNutt. God bless the American Spirit and worker. read more
