Service is good really friendly this is if you actually get the help, they don't have enough workers, I had to wait for 30mins to get help today, the other day I waited for an hour and left. This Macy's is split into two locations within the mall. One of the locations is one story tall and has the adults clothing, makeup, and a small toy area. The other location is two storied and has the kids clothing and a large toys area. The house goods and seasonal items are located upstairs. IMHO - Covid Edition I received a Macy's gift card for my birthday (and to be transparent...I don't normally shop at Macy's.) I graciously told the gift giver that I would visit the Macy's in Maui to see if they had any cute tropical prints available. Fast forward to Queen Ka'ahumanu Mall in Kahului. Initially I didn't see anything different than in any other Macy's, but I walked to the dress department and to my delight and surprise, I saw some lovely tropical Hawaiian dresses in bright colors and prints! I grabbed four dresses, headed to the fitting rooms, and came out with my favorite! The sales associate was very helpful in getting as much of a discount that I could receive as a Macy's credit card holder yet paying with a gift card. I was very happy to redeem part of my gift card here and I loved wearing my new dress during our vacation! read more

Ok only reason not giving a 1 star is the staff!! Very friendly. We came in the door where the women's department is at and WOW the smell of mold is mind blowing! We tried getting to the nearest door after finding out the men's departments is on the other side of the parking structure but the doors are locked? We were in there for less then 10 minutes and my eyes are burning. I feel bad for the staff stuck in that heath risk. The fact that it isn't at all like the Oahu store's with its sales and clearance aisles, this Maui store must have very high rents to match its high prices.? The stores are also split up.? Meaning if you are looking for kitchen supplies and you find yourself at the perfume counter you are in the wrong store all together.? They have really earned this 5 stars especially during post C19 insanity. They were truly and still are good about distancing announcements and signs, as well as sanitizing stations. They've also done a huge womens store makeover in product placement and signage. I love their Hawaiian designer section. It's gorgeous One thing I also appreciate is they realize swimwear is not a seasonal product here. They also have have quite the selection for formal wear and resort wear. read more

As soon as you walk in the doorway, the smell of dirt gets down your throat, it comes from ageless carpets that have never been cleaned or changed. Toilets are repellent to dirt... a few rare customers get lost in this mess... read more

Saddest Macys I've ever been in ...but it's the only one on island so it's 'my store'. The women's department and men's/home departments are in separate buildings. Hassle. But the real offense is the smell of the women's department- For years, it always smells musty and quite unpleasant. I was in dire need of new underpants. I found a pair just for me! But being disabled, I was unable to put them on. Luckily, one of the workers helped me try on 5 pairs of underpants! I ended up only getting one pair, so the rest are still on shelves if you want to try them for yourself! On top of that, one of the workers gave us a discount because they thought my dad was sexy! I only shop here when there are sales. This weekend, I was able to purchase $60 dress shirts at 60 percent off. The lady working at the mens department was very helpful. I showed up with shorts and slippers and asked for help with sizes for a suit. She took measurements, gave me some tips, and helped me pick a tie. She definitely made me feel valued and made the shopping experience much more comfortable. Restrooms are a bit out of date, and have a foul smell. Also, the mens stall needs a privacy panel to block the space between the door and the frame. It makes it uncomfortable because people washing hands can look right into an occupied stall. Products here have good quality, but high prices. I enjoy shopping here because of the service and excellent promotions. read more

Worst customer service experience I have ever received on Maui! to start, no return policy, even though the jewelry I purchased broke almost immediately after purchase. I had to wait on two separate occasions more than 30 minutes to get a response on what they could do for me, when the owner finally spoke to me she was incredibly rude. And at one point threatened to take the necklace away and not refund me. She said she had to leave her husband and come "deal with this" and that she was very upset about that - yet her employee was not trained in dealing with this kind of situation. Meanwhile my small baby and I had been waiting around for 30 mins. Which she had no compassion for what so ever. It was honestly just really weird. I told her I had no problem spending the money at her store, but I would prefer a different piece of jewelry because the "fixed" jewelry was not the same exact color as the previous stone. It was a more gray tint and the other one was greener matching my babies eyes. (The whole reason we picked this particular piece that broke) There is more but over all such a terrible experience. She was talking about me to her employee in the back loud enough for anyone in the store to hear. Incredible unprofessional. After being trapped in a power struggle with her, she agreed to trade out the piece. I ended up buying a more expensive piece and paying the difference. Ultimately she made $30 more and is still able to sell the other necklace. Definitely not a pono place to give your money to. read more

This is a landmark on Maui. It started off as Liberty House and changed to Macy's. I hope it can remain, but am not sure if any large retailer can maintain what this place tries to offer. Women's and Children's store is where the original was, maybe if they somehow consolidate the Men's and Home goods to this location, it can survive the online purchasing age. I'll always remember the two ends of Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center: Liberty House and Sears... two juggernauts of retail in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. read more

I love Macy's primarily for their clearance items and sale items. There are some fantastic deals. I got a cookware set months ago for $30 and the regular price was over $100. I donated my old pots and pans immediately lol. Customer service is usually great. I love shopping at Macy's mostly during my lunch breaks because it isn't too busy. I do wish they would renovate their dressing rooms but I am grateful that we at least have a Macy's here on Maui :) read more

I am a long time Macys shopper. I sometimes buy online for variety and like to be able to return here. I never buy without a sale or savings pass. This Macys is nice to have on island, but the SMELL! It smells like water damage and mold and mildew. Somehow, it smells in both stores (women's and housewear) at different ends of the mall! For years it has smelled. Other stores in the mall dont smell. I feel bad for employees since it probably is not safe to breathe that all day. read more

So I was at Mac today and this lady with a pink hair is not friendly at all. I was looking at they're holiday collection for like 5 minutes and she wouldn't approached me until this other lady from clinique cosmetics told her that I needed help. I asked her If I can swatch the lipstick that was displayed in the front counter and she didn't even respond she just went to get the lipstick and hand it to me and left. The smell of this store is horrendous... I don't bring my kid's shopping with me because my daughter has to take allergy medication after walking through Macy's, and my son complains about itchy eyes. I purchased clothes and left the bag in my car overnight and my car reeked the following morning... had to air out my car and buy a car freshener. Both departments have a moldy damp smell..... but the Women's building is unbearable and rummaging through the clothing makes my skin itchy. I mentioned to a few employees and they basically said they've gotten used to the smell, itchy eyes and skin...How sad! read more

What can I say I love to shop at Macy's. Located in the Queen Kaahumanu Center Macy's home and men section is different from the woman's section. Macy's pretty much always has amazing deals. Especially this time of the year is Thanks for sharing. I highly recommend getting that if you're a card holder. It's a $25 fee one a year which helps many organizations. The more you spend using your card the more you get back. I think it started this year in October and last til December 31st. So that's a lot of time to earn dollars. They will send you a gift card in the mail with how much you can spend on future purchases. The clothes selection can be pricey but it's really good brands to choose from. They have a Coach and Michael Kors department. Also a nice variety of perfume and a Mac department of make up. The only thing I don't like is when you go into a dressing room there are a lot of clothes left behind by lazy people who don't want to take it to the rack to be put away. Bathrooms are by the junior girls section. Staff are always cleaning it. I like coming here because the staff are nice and helpful. The good thing is they close at 9 pm.. read more

As to what is actually is on-sale and why only some items can use their 20% off coupons for "select sale, clearance and regular priced items". It was difficult yesterday to find a salesperson at 5:00pm on a Tuesday. I am not a huge fan of Macy's here in Maui. I don't shop here for pleasure but only when I need to. That being said, it's the only store with any high-end quality merchandise, as in shoes and dresses. I really like my Queen Ka'ahumanu Macy's store. The *only* small annoyance is that the women's department and the men's department are in two totally different stores-separated by a lot of walking. Now that I know this, it's no big deal. But lots of people come in the store looking for all of Macy's and then find out that they have to go to two different places in the mall. It's just weird. Moving on. The women's department is where I spend most of my time-and for good reason: sales! Macy's seems to always have something at 40-75% off. Score! Also, if you find something on clearance but not in your size, the sales associate will call other stores on the mainland to see if they have the item in that desired size. That's customer service! The store is always well-lit, clean and organized. The parking lot offers plenty of choices from different sides of the store. Super thankful for my Macy's and all the good deals I've scored there. I have always loved Macy's. Love the new curbside pick up!!!!! Online shopping with Macy's is a real disappointment, I live in Hawaii and there are so many shipping restrictions it's ridiculous. Since I am a cardholder, I get "free shipping" on my purchases, but am then charged a $10 "shipping surcharge ". That is such a scam and I'm surprised Macy's would pull that on their customers. I always try to shop this Macy's when I vacation in Kihei. I look for new Hawaiian brand name Aloha shirts made of 100% cotton. For a few years Macy's stocked rayon fabrics. I'm so glad that they had cotton shirts this year, 2019, I bought one that I liked. The store clerks are nice and helpful, but sometimes you have to look around to find one. read more

Five stars, because as a Star Rewards elite, I always get the best deals at Macy's. And other stores just cannot compete with the great sales and discounted prices I can find at Macy's in-store and online. Sure, the women's and the men's/home stores on Maui are small compared to Macy's stores elsewhere, so they don't have as many options and varieties of designers as I'm used to, but I always have the choice of ordering online or flying to Oahu and shopping the Macy's Ala Moana store. For online orders, shipping to Hawaii will require a $10 shipping surcharge, but this mandatory surcharge can be waived if you walk into a Macy's and order your items directly from the store. If the Maui store could renovate the older dressing rooms and restrooms and continually keep the dressing rooms clean and the clothing racks sorted neatly, I think that would drastically improve people's shopping experience. read more

This Macy's is nice. I like how the Macy's is split in two, but I do miss the days of Liberty House. The women's Macy's store is in the old LH and is one story, and the mens/home store is in the old JC Penney's and is two stories. This is much nicer than when it was crammed into the old LH store. My problem with the women's store is that the make-up counters are close to the mall entrance, and with a smell sensitivity, going through the perfume can be painful, literally. Otherwise, the store is a pretty standard Macy's. I spend most of my time in the store wandering in the home section to see if there are any gadgets that I may "need." This is particularly true if there is a sale. You may be able to get a better deal on products if you have the Macy's credit card, so watch for those signs, and if eligible, it could save you money. read more

Went into the men's Macy just now. Diane was very condescending and avoided helping me or my family when we were on the floor. When she was finally at the register she tried to leave/get off the register before helping me or my mother even though she had helped some white friends which were shopping here today which just gives me an icky feeling about her motivations. While she was checking us out she told me "I might need to learn how to save money" after I refused the Macy's card reward program and critiqued my choice of separating my purchase from my mothers (which is not her business and I'm not going to have my mother pay for my things as I am old enough even if I do not look it). Diane also hit the touch screen for my mother instead of asking her to do it herself which I'm sure is an unauthorized purchase and against protocol. Diane also made huffed sighs as she folding up our clothes and didn't offer my mother a separate bag and just waved her towards me like she was to leave now which is just a rude gesture. She should have asked her if she wanted a bag instead of making assumptions and making faces as if she was done taking out the trash. She said she had just taken "3-Days off" and she was "surprised the store would carry something like this" referring to the shirt I had chosen for a rather flamboyant friend. She need not make such personalized comments just because she had to help people who she didn't want to as she wanted to talk to her friends as the walked out of the store. We just bought an Eileen Fisher blouse and pants last month at FULL PRICE, FOR A TOTAL OF $300+ something dollars and not knowing or told that it would be going on sale or told about a pre sale. We wanted to return the item and get refunded and buy it again for the sale price but was told we couldn't. Rae was the person helping us and didn't even inform us about a sale or pre sale coming up, if that was the case, we would have waited. It just doesn't make sense that we cant return it and buy it again which would save us from paying the full price! read more
