I have not been in this store for years. I went a couple days ago because I received a gift card for my birthday, I could not believe the lack of merchandise and the condition of the store. The female clothing went from college age to elderly, nothing in between. The carpeting all over the store was filthy and it looked as if they were going out of business. One of  best  customer service  I've ever had Went to get a perfume ,my sale assistant was there to help and provide a great customer service on top of that her knowledge about everything in that department. Terrible service, accused of stealing. Will not be returning. This place is trash. The carpet is covered in stains, I was not helped with finding the ideas I needed. The racks were chaotic, I was there at 10Am there is no excuse for how disorganized and dirty everything was. read more

Small mens department. The salesperson at The fragrance counter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable

I've encountered only 2 workers today and yet somehow they both seemed to be stuck up and rude. The worker at the cologne stand was just plain snotty. I guess teenagers aren't on the list of important customers because we were in line first and yet she sat there talking to the other employee not doing anything until an adult couple walked up and then ran to help them. It's okay we took our money else where. As well as one of the ladies at the men's department checkout. I suppose workers etiquette isn't a thing anymore. read more

I dropped in to pick up make-up for a girls night out and the MAC Counter sales reps were super accommodating. It was a busy Saturday afternoon but the beauty consultants never made me feel rushed. Additionally, I had several questions about the products (especially given the price-point/who knew make-up was an investment?) and I applaud the staff for taking time to explain which items were best for my skin-type. I not only received a fabulous MAC-up moment on-the-spot but learned new techniques for at-home maintenance. Thanks ladies you just earned a lifelong customer for MAC Cosmetics! read more

This is perhaps the most low-brow Macy's location I have ever encountered. It probably has not been updated since the 80s, and the wear is starting to show in its nicked-up display counters, wood and glass stairway, stained ceiling tiles, and dull flooring. They do not have many cosmetic counter choices. Here you will only find Este Lauder, Clinique, and Lancome. No Benifit, Origin, MAC or Philosophy. Their plus sized clothing selection is also limited, missing many higher-end brands. It is great if you know what you need for a quick trip in, but really not built for browsing. read more

Just a little update. When I tried the bottle of Jadore that was sitting out to be sampled it smelled so good!! That's the reason why I went back in to get it. When I opened up my beautiful bottle at home at put it on, it smelled nothing like it. It smelled like a cheap nasty perfume from a flea market. Went and got my makeup done at the M.A.C. store , and couldn't be happier! I had to go to a party for my husband's company and I needed to look like I woke up like this, Jenny was my makeup artist and she did an amazing job! I absolutely loved it! I don't think people understand what an experience it is to get your make up done at a M.A.C. counter and treat yourself you will look beautiful, I have never had a bad experience to date. They really are artist's they can do any look you want. So glad Macy's finally opened a M.A.C store closer to me! read more

I love Macy's, but I don't like this location because it lacks almost everything I love about Macy's! No MAC counter, limited handbag department, and strangely enough, no Fossil costume jewelry. Also, I have keen senses when an employee suspects I'm shoplifting. That look, the way they watch you like a hawk, or in today's case: an employee saying "hello" to me from across an aisle and a few jewelry counters, as if to say, "I see you, you better not steal anything." This never sits well with me. One of the better stores in Joliet mall, but not up to par with the Fox Valley store. read more

Went in to get two shirts (pink) for Cancer Awareness month after stopping at Burlington and TJ MAXX. OMG its been a while since I needed to get shirts at a cheap price (pink). Those two places are a joke compared to Macy's! Burlington should take Link card that's how broken down it is(nice ties though) ! And TJ MAXX used to be a great place now I have more shirts than they do! Macy's was loaded with choices and the girls working there were so nice! Horrible service. One location contradicts another location and they both contradict their on-line department. I bought a watch on Macy's.com and it malfunctioned. Part of the bevel came loose on the inside. I kept the box, label and label on the box. I tried to return it to the Auroa Macy's without the box and they told me to bring back the box and any Macy's would return it. I brought the watch, the box and labels to Joliet and the manager refused to return it until I told her I was returning it to Aurora. Then she sent me thru a 30 minute run around to only refund part of the price. I WILL NEVER BUY AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE FROM MACYS AGAIN. read more

My name is Athena and where Mac makeup exclusively. The last I was there the girl was rude I wanted to sample the color she told in order to sample it she would have to charge me. So I made my purchase and proceeded to walk over to the Clinique counter and asked if they could match the color and they did. So I wen back to Mac counter a returned my purchases. The sales person was not friendly or enthusiastic I asked to speak with manager and explained why I was returning the items it was because of the shitty customer service. I have been shopping at Macy's for years just moved from the Nashville area and this is by far the worst service I have ever received from the perfume department. Just wanted to buy wife perfume for that made up holiday valentines day. I waited and walked around the perfume area for 5 minutes with an employee watching me finally I went and asked for help it seemed to put her that I wanted to spend my money in that store. Oh Macy's. I love them. Just not this location. The staff at this particular location can be pretty rude. They don't really discriminate though. I've seen them ignore people who spend a lot of money and people who spend next to nothing. At least they are fair with that. I do not like the selection at this store. This store is not up to the Macys standard. The plus size department is very disappointing. Nothing professional for work and very few selections. The Petite's Department is also gone so if you are a petite you have to run all over the store to find your size. It is still one of the better stores in the Joliet Westfield Mall, however, which seems to cater to a low income demographic. read more

Stopped at Clinique counter today at Macy's and received the most dissapointing and rude service. I asked for a sample of their facial cleanser and was met with the response from Lisa "Do you even use Clinique products?"we do not give samples. Can you believe a cosmetics counter that does not provide samples? I explained that I have gotten samples before. I asked to speak to a manager and she back peddled a little. Lisa then proclaimed "We only give samples of foundation". Once again can you believe a cosmetic counter that does not provide samples. I will be writing Macy's head quarters and the head management of Clinique. In fact I will be packing up the remaining Clinique products I currently have and sending them back. I visited the Mac Counter at the Macy's Joliet location with my daugther and was completed ignored for over 10 minutes. I browse in the area and was interested in making a purchase but I was never acknowledge by any one in that department. They have many associates in the area but they continued to walk around and never said a word. I walked up to the Mac stand in Macy's and started looking at their products not once was I acknowledged or greeted. They were very interested more about how much they will be spending if they bought some certain amount of stuff from their Mac stand. I had to walk up to the counter where the girl was just standing there. I was the only one there and non of the girls were servicing anyone. I know for sure they weren't providing service for anyone because I was the only customer there at the Mac stand. I had to go up to someone and ask for help. I don't know if I wasn't approached because of the way I looked, it is the worst retail experience a customer can experience. If they stopped being shallow and into themselves and actually provide customer service this Mac stand would be a 5 star. read more

I love that they carry Coach purses and shoes. Their coats are also amazing. They do not carry Mac like the Macys in Bolingbrook does. Hopefully in the future they will. Their areas are well stocked with a variety of choices. read more
