The manager Tess M. is rude and not suited for customer service first and foremost. I went to this location today with my mother so she can return a shirt from Christmas. Granted it's July; however, we are extremely busy and didn't get around to it until now. The cashier explained it was two weeks past the exchange date so we nicely asked to speak to a manager. The shirt was unworn all the tags were in tact and it was in the original bag. It looked the exactly same as the day I bought it. The manager Tess M. came over and right off the bat she looked as if she didn't want to be bothered. My mother explained the situation and she rudely said it is what it is and there is NOTHING I can do. My mother then explained nicely she doesn't want her money back she just simply wanted to exchange it for another item. She rolled her eyes and again said oh well there's nothing I can do we changed the policy in October 2016. My mother began to explain it was unworn and she just walked away in the middle of the conversation and mumbled a few things under her breath that I couldn't make it out. I found it to be completely unprofessional. I worked in retail management for years and I was taught to never let the customer leave dissatisfied, but apparently Tess M didn't get that memo. I understand rules are in place for a reason but we weren't trying "to get over" on anyone. She just simply wanted to exchange one item for another. I found Tess to be rude and ignorant and talked to us as if we were beneath her. She treated us as if we were a distraction to her. Her body language suggested to me that she didn't want any part of the conversation and the look on her face made it apparent she was aggervated and felt as if we were wasting her time. This is a shame because I have been shopping at this location for years and all the brand representatives were friendly and always went out of their way to smile and help me, but not Tess M. I will never return to this location. I am more dissatisfied with how poorly she treated and spoke to us then the outcome of the situation. A little customer service goes a long way in this business and she lost two loyal customers due to her lack of people and customer service skills. read more

The manager Tess M was extremely rude to me first and foremost. I came with my mother and she wanted to return a shirt she received as a Christmas present. Granted it is July; however her and I are extremely busy and haven't quite found the time to return it. The cashier said the "return date" expired two weeks ago. The item was still in the original bag and the tags were in tact. It was clearly unworn. We nicely asked to speak to the manager. Tess M came across as if she didn't want to be bothered. My mother simply asked I don't want my money back I would just like to exchange it for something else. She rolled her eyes and said cannot do it. I myself have worked in retail management for years and always go out of my way to the best of my ability to accommodate the customer. I was taught never let the customer leave disappointed. Apparently, Tess didn't get that memo. She said the policy changed October 2016 and it is what is sorry nothing I can do! She walked away in the middle of the conversation shaking her head and mumbling things under her breath which I found to be completely unprofessional. I understand rules and rules but we weren't trying to "pull a fast one". We just wanted to exchange one shirt for another. All the tags were there and it looks exactly the same as how I bought it. Time just slipped away and didn't get around to exchanging it. I am more disappointed about Tess's poor communication and management skills rather than the outcome of the situation. She was not only rude and ignorant, but her body language suggested she wanted no part of that conversation or even deal with the situation. It was truthfully a shame and I will never shop at the Macy's again because I found it unacceptable that she spoke to customers as if we were beneath her and as if we were a distraction. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I never had an encounter this unfortunate in all my years shopping at this location. read more

I thoroughly believe that any store that opens it's doors on thanksgiving day, like Macy's, is evil. This location will be open at 8pm this thanksgiving day, and thus all stores in the mall will follow suit. Where is the decency, in opening the doors as early as an hour, for some, after thanksgiving feast? This holiday was very much about family and togetherness, but thanks are due to companies like Macy's that feel that there employees and there families are less important than misleading door busters specials design to be exhausted minutes after the doors open. Why 8PM, thanksgiving day? Why not midnight on Black Friday? Why not 4am BLACK FRIDAY? Is there really a need to open your doors on the holiday itself? Completely indecent, and repulsive. read more

She was greeted by the cashier who touched the garment and immediately after used hand sanitizer. I am not sure if she is a germaphobe or just rude. She was told she couldn't return the item and was extremely rude. My daughter was very uncomfortable and not someone to cause trouble so she left. Her sister was in the car and immediately came in to her defense and to try to figure out why she was so rude and why the item couldn't be returned. I have purchased many items from your store and returning items for me weren't ever an issue. My daughter called me very upset stating that the rude employee said the item was worn and it was not. My older daughter was appalled and demanded to speak to a Manager, several young girls claimed they were managers and that the item couldn't be returned. It is my understanding the manager on duty was someone named Alexis. It is ridiculous how my girls were treated. Needless to say the item was left there and we received store credit. NO ONE I mean no one should ever be treated the way my daughter was. She left the store very upset and with just cause, so much so, that other shoppers came to her defense. I am writing to you so that you can train your staff better and your managers should not allow anyone who deals with customers be in the front and center of your store especially if they don't have manners and people skills. There is a way to handle customers. The times I have gone there with my children they are all very rude, young uneducated children who don't care whether you lose a customer or not. I know you do not want to have such immature people running your establishments. If I was there today this wouldn't have happened but that shouldn't be the case. Everyone should be treated fairly and with respect. She clearly doesn't like her job and honestly shouldn't be working there. I am very upset and she is very lucky I was far away or this would have ended very differently and she would be giving my daughter an apology. Please look into who you have at this location because they are ruining your brand. I will not be returning. Cecilia Alves A Concerned Customer
