Looking for an outfit for a wedding I was dissapointed at the poor and limited selection. I normally go to the Macy's in Dadeland but a friend told me the International Mall store had a better selection. Sadly, this was not true for me. I have to gives thanks to the wonderful clerk that helped me try on almost every outfit in the dressy dress section. Josie was wonderful, patient, and so helpful!! I ended up making a purchase (not that I'm 100% happy with...but). When I go to pay Josie had left for her break but the clerk that rang me up said that she'd give the sale to Josie. I hope so!! ***CAUTION*** I've shopped at Macy's for years, but this experience will haunt me forever. I went to Macy's in search of the perfect mattress, eager to invest in a good night's sleep. Little did I know, I was stepping into a living nightmare. Upon entering the mattress section, everything seemed fine. We tried out a few beds, testing their comfort. As I lay down on one, I noticed something moving out of the corner of my eye on the bed! My heart stopped. BED BUGS! Not just a few, a bunch of them on most of the mattresses. Disgust turned to horror as I saw cockroaches scuttling across the floor, adding to the infestation. In utter disbelief, I immediately reported the issue to the staff. Their reaction? Indifference literally kept selling did not even pick up a dead roach I showed him. No urgency, no apologies, no action. It was as if this was a normal occurrence. How could a renowned store like Macy's allow such a revolting situation to go on. Staff seem out of touch not engaged! If you value your health and sanity, avoid this Macy's at all costs as getting bed bugs out of your house will be costly!! This is not just a matter of poor service--it's a serious health hazard. I recently visited Macy's Department Store located at the International Mall. I was not looking for anything in particular at the moment, just to kill some time while my car was being service at a nearby dealership. I must say that I've always been a fan of Macy's, in particular their men's clothes and vast selection of men's fragrances. I am a fan of a good cologne! Another aspect of Macy's that I enjoy is their "Last Call" items, which are items that are in their final clearance price. I always seem to find something I like for a great bargain. This time was no exception and I found a faux leather jacket in black that was marked down 80%. The style and fit was perfect for me and I couldn't say no. I know that living in Miami, I would probably have to wait until the end of the year to wear it, but I feel that it will be worth the wait! I really enjoyed this store and was happy with the service provided by the store employee and cashier. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Oh man. What do people see in Macy's? Really, what is the point of shopping at Macy's? It's overpriced. Overhyped. Same products are at Target, WalMart, Amazon and other locations for better prices. Anyways, this place looked like a tornado ripped through it. I didn't go to more than two departments, and in those two departments were disasters after disasters. I went to the shoe department and the service department. They were next to each other. I get it, people are jerks and think they can just leave their messes all over, because the employees will just pick it up. It's not all the employees faults, because I'm sure they're doing what they can to keep up, but I saw two employees walk right by a huge pile of garbage. They walked by without batting an eye. It was a disgrace. If you're like a customer that expects the employees to clean up after you, stop being like that. Check out the web site notalwaysright. Add the dot com. I've been coming to this Macy's for a while. Yes the one in Dadeland is much better but sometimes I just don't feel like driving over there. Lately the items that have been stocked aren't that exciting. I literally bought a shirt from Cubavera back in early October, and they still had the same ones in stock. Its January. The staff it's either hit-or-miss, you're either gonna get someone who's super nice and attentive or someone who's super rude and hates their life. There is no middle ground in this place. Hey Macy's, let's get some customer service training done for your employees shall we? Rita in the jewelry department has forgotten that she's in the business of providing a service. We were literally passed down from two other employees until we finally landed with Rita. Since we weren't looking at the high ticket items of $1000K+ she literally left to her watch stand and said find here if you need me. We had to call her back to help us view some things inside the glass casings and she just stood there, watching us, literally waiting for us to buy something or leave. Didn't try to upsell. This is by far the worst Macy's ever! I went from the shoe department, to MAC counter, and lastly to the ladies department and had customer service issues in all three! One register open in the shoe department with multiple employees standing around talking amongst each other and not one person asked if I needed assistance. I literally had to seek an employee out who was raving about their upcoming weekend plans just to have them come assist 4 random people that were standing around the register waiting to pay. So then I stood in line at MAC to request my foundation...it seemed the employees were all handling business so I stood at the register and patiently waited for little Ms. Havana to finish ringing up her customer and when she did...she ignored me. Lol turned around and walked off. At this point, I was cracking my knuckles and wishing i could get my own product since I'd literally been standing around for about ten minutes...another employee comes to the register to check a price and I take the opportunity to mention I'd really appreciate some help so with nowhere to run, she rang me up. Geeez and thank you! Lastly, I was strolling thru the juniors department prior to exiting this dreadful mall and low in behold standing there blending with all the racks is an employee... Shocker! To make matters more interesting, she's actually on a cell phone having a personal call. I'm so irked at this point because its the third time I notice the staff here being so nonchalant about their service so I go right by her and read her name tag just to make sure it says Macy's and to send her a message that I'm on to her...Maribel! Came to Macy's to return a dress I recently bought and didn't fit. The cashier Geraldine from the moment I got there treat me with a bad attitude she had a lot of lack of knowledge and had to ask other cashiers for help yet keep giving me a hard time to return. I had to request a manager and the manager was not even available WORST EXPERIENCE IN MACYS not returning to this location. I just spent over a $1000 and I do frequent because of my job but this time they lost me as a client.! Macy's make sure you give your personal the proper training so this won't happen.! After been contacted by Luis Chi to return so the return could take place the BCBG Manager Shirley Rodriguez as she called herself did not accept the return of the dress that was in perfect conditions the dress does not fit me unfortunately I try returning or exchanging it for a bigger size to my biggest yet worst experience in Macy's the tag on the back of the dress was missing it was sold to me without a tag in the back if I only knew when I purchased from this brand all this nightmare was to happen I would had never came to Macy's. Today is my last day to return as per receipt and I am stock with a dress that doesn't even fit.! I've been coming to this Macy's since I was a kid. This entire mall to me is a long childhood memory. The memories are never bad. I am in all 80's terms a mallrat. I love the mall and this one is no different. I especially love this Macys. It hasn't changed much since I was a kid. The entrance I always still use is split between shoes, juniors and perfumes. I noticed they have included new brands like Jo Malone when I came in. I haven't noticed that in the dadeland location. This particular location houses everything except mens and home. This is on the other side of the mall however and is another location. I have never had an issue here. On the contrary everyone has always been nice. My only complaint is that the shoe area becomes crowded and busy but I think this is the norm with all Macy's. I will always come back here just because I am so used to it already. The shoes section was organized and the ladies at the Mac and Clinique section where nice helping me with what I was looking for. Long slow lines, disorganized. 1 hour to return. 3 lines, so I can only return in one. This is the worst store service. Cannot believe it.

OK so I really, really dislike the fact that the Men's department and the Women's department are separate and you have to go through the mall to get to the other. We are a family, we shop for both.. so we can't just go to Macy's alone. Aside from that, I do love the INC line for women that they carry, and in the Juniors department I do find some cute tops for great deals. Also the other day they had a super sale and I got myself three pairs of awesome shoes (all originally priced over $100 each pair) for $120! Three pairs! Baby Phat, and two Carlos Santanas. NICE! The service at Macy's can be hit or miss. Sometimes its great and then others you want to smack you a betch. Especially at the cosmetics counters. There 99% there is a snobby attitude. Chanel counter is known for it. I feel that if I am going to drop $100 for one CREAM you better be kissing my ass not acting like it smells like ass. Lol seriously, at least once a week. I'm typically on a one hour time crunch, but in that one hour I manage to: find fast parking, walk over to macys, stop by the fragrance section, spritz perfume, hit the jewelry or shoe or bags clearance section, try stuff on, cash out, hit the in-mall Starbucks stand on way back to car for some lunch grabs, and zoom back to work right in the nick of time!! Not like other Macys stores I've been to. The men's department is its on store totally separated from the rest of the store. The clothing seems to me to be disorganized and scattered throughout the displays. The sizes on the hangers don't match the size of the clothes it's on. The shoe department is small compared to other locations. Not alot of variety. Finding someone to help you is hit or miss. The sales racks are also disorganized with sizes all over the place and some items on their are not even on sale when you bring them to the cash register. This is for the Chanel make up counter, staff was rude, looked me up and down when I walked up, FYI people, not everyone wearing shorts and Havianas are poor and unable to afford your product! I wanted to try the foundation for my daughter who was considering having her prom make up done here, was told twice, that they could only do the foundation on her, as they were 'very busy' well that's all I asked for to begin with. By the way they had lots of girls working, many of whom were standing around doing nothing. Wound up going to Saks and booking Anna for prom make up, she spent time with us and showed her pictures of her work etc. Also it's a lot calmer in Saks. I had the WORST customer service I have ever experienced at this Macy's. My fiance, his mother & I went there on Saturday. We had found a shirt with no price tag on it in the clearance section. When we brought it to the cashier in the men's jean department we were told that it isn't from their section of the men's department. They pointed us in the right direction. So we just went over to the place he pointed to with no problem. This is where our experience went from alright to HORRIBLE. I had taken the shirt by myself to the counter in front of the INC sign where I saw Gabriela (I'm 80% sure that was her name). The lady only spoke Spanish so thankfully by then my mother in law walked up and was able to explain to her that we wanted to know the price of the shirt and if it was on sale. Gabriela then proceeded to give her a huge attitude saying that it was not her job to find the price. The shirt was from the men's suit dept (which it was not as it was a Boss button down). Then told her - well its a $90 shirt, I'm sure you won't buy it anyways. Once my fiance translated all of this to me I was FURIOUS!!! We took the shirt to the men's suit dept and explained what had just happened. She said the sales clerk could've looked up the shirt just like she was doing for us. But, she was obviously to lazy. The shirt ended up being $125. We ended up buying it along with a few other things ONLY because the lady in the suit dept was so nice & we were strapped for time. Macy's Mens department in International Mall has been supplying my swagger since I was old enough to drive to the mall and open up my own Macy's store card. That being said, I really like shopping here. While I could go and find some deals at an outlet store, I rarely find my size. I'm no where near XXL shirts or size 40 pants. Sorry. So I go to Macy's hopefully with some coupon or when some sort of sale is going on. I head straight to the Guess, Levis, Calvin Klein and Perry Ellis collections. Because everyone knows that's how a man dresses. I'm looking at you Ed Hardy and Affliction, both of you are an abomination. Each designer's area are pretty decent in size. It's nice to have your own side of the store devoted to my sex and not just a few racks thrown into a mostly woman's store. The ladies are always very sweet to me and like helping me out. Also in the store is Puma gear for the gym and shoes, another weakness. If you're looking for jewelry, I picked up a beautiful Fossil watch the other day that has been noticed and complimented on already and didn't cost very much. Was I one of the host of What Not To Wear on TLC, this is where I'd take my fashion disaster and try to teach the guy that you don't need to break the bank to look your banking it. This review is for the jewlery dept FYI. Yes i know going shopping around the holidays is not the best idea. Yes i know the malls are crazy during the holidays. Yes i am a procrastinator sometimes and i do hit the malls during the holidays. Soooo it maybe partly my fault that i put myslef through this horror. There are some rays of sushine out there but i will tell you this. There are also some very dark clouds that will not be willing to help a client out when asking a simple question. If you're looking for a mattress at the Macy's at International Mall, and see a large woman named Sharon sitting on one of the beds... walk away. Quickly. The "saleswoman" that was there was really just chit-chatting with some guy while lounging on a bed. My fiance and I started trying out mattresses ourselves, thinking she would come over, but she didn't. It took her about 10 minutes to notice us, and even then she didn't even get up to come to us. Come to think of it, she didn't even move from that bed the entire time we were there. So she starts asking us what we're looking for, and we're split on our decision. He likes firm mattresses, I like mine a little more plush. She told us, "Go try that one over there **nods her head in the general direction**", so we tried that mattress out. I told her I liked my mattresses with a little more bounce... and she rolled her eyes! Excuse me for liking my mattresses to have bounce! I almost walked away right then and there. In any case, I counted to three and tried on the last mattress, which ended up being the one we liked the most at this location. Then she makes some comment about my fiance's shorts (we had just come from the beach, so he had his swim trunks on with a shirt). We discussed it, and explicitly planned to go to the Dadeland store instead so we wouldn't have to give this woman commission. I've never seen such a blatantly inept salesperson! Ok folks I can proudly say Macys is one of my favorite department stores! I developed this special love for Macys while living in Melbourne Florida! You see Melbourne at the time was now developing and becoming populated...and when I went to the mall with my mom we would park at the Macys parking lot and shop there for hours and hours...it runs in the family mom loves macys too...after all there was not much department stores with the same quality and service like Macys in the area. I love Macys because they cater for a range of individuals. They also carry a wide range of brands, brands for everyone and every price limit. They also carry quality merchandise, quality is important. Who wants to purchase items that won't last? Macys is also great because very frequently they lure people like myself to return by advertising their deals and sending irresistible coupons! The only downfall to using the coupons is you have to use your Macys credit card. Luckily, I can control myself and give myself limits! I love that Macys allows coupons however I dislike their recent new marketing...I found recently coupons are getting more limited and basically unusable on the majority of items such as specials, deal of the day and last act. What is the point of sending coupons if they can't be used or combined? I prefer just discount the items and forget about the coupons. I also enjoy the Plenti point system. It's like a money back program, of course you have to spend a lot to get a few back! Macys carries a wide range of items for young children, females and males. They also carry household items, luggage, clothing, lingerie, shoes, accessories, swim, perfume, cosmetics and food-snacks like chocolates to name a few. International Mall Macys is one of the busier Macys in Miami however they are limited to certain brands unlike the larger stores like Dadeland and Aventura Mall. I wish they would carry one of my favorite brands Maison Jules! Thankfully Aventura carries it. I especially enjoy the ambiance and energizing weekend vibe with the local DJs playing upbeat tunes while you shop! Macys at International Mall is centrally and conveniently located especially for tourist. The airport is close by as well as neighboring hotels, restaurants and other shopping establishments. I always have a memorable and satisfying shopping experience at this Macys location and look forward to more happier shopping experiences! The store at the Intl Mall in Miami is a zoo. Messy shoe section with extremely few employees to help you out. The employees at the cashier are performing dual functions - receiving payments AND getting the shoes for customer to try on. This creates a huge line and a really long wait time for the customers. Also, the store manager should train the employees on how to proceed with the "scan & pay" feature. They encourage the customers to do it so we can save time during checkout but, when we are ready at the checkout, the cashier doesn't know what to do. Shame on the Macy's at the International Mall!!!
