I walked up to the Customer Service Counter to make my purchase because three employees were standing there. One immediately told me to go somewhere else because they are "curbside pick up only." The Customer Service Counter is pick up only...? Doesn't make sense... I have checked out at this counter many times at different Macy's. Macy's in the Augusta mall, Augusta, Georgia has a strong smell of mold ever since Hurricane Helene hit this area on September 28, 2024. I tried to shop in this store again on November 16th and the odor was still so strong I was concerned for the workers as well as myself! They told me the roof leaked after the hurricane and the ceiling tiles fell in. I feel like the store should be shut down until the situation is corrected. read more

I went to the mall in search of a dress for my daughter's father, daughter dance. I didn't think I would find what I was looking for, but as I was walking out I saw the dress on a mannequin and I knew it was the dress for her. The dress was priced at $85, but I was able to get a discount and the final price was about $63. It ran a bit small, she wears a 6, but we had to get a 10. She absolutely loved the dress and it went well with her father's tuxedo. read more

I was in critical need for some makeup to attend a wedding. I decided to run into Macy's directly to the Mac counter in the Augusta mall. After the artist hung up a phone call with their mom. The person then decided to not greet me but to continue on with helping someone else. After I looked and walked around the counter for about 10 minutes. I literally had to ask for help. I was there for 1 thing. After 15 minutes and asking for a specific item of course they didn't have it. This counter lacked professionalism and timeliness. read more

A long time ago, Macy's used to be a department store called Rich's before it was bought out by Macy's. The layout still reminds me of Rich's since they didn't really change all that much...good memories! They carry a lot of Coach and Dooney and Bourke here. I drool whenever I pass by the purses section every time. There is so much clothing here, it is almost unfathomable. There are always sales racks galore so be sure to rummage through the racks. The "high end" sections like Lauren Ralph Lauren and Michael Michael Kors aren't as big as, say, the Macy's in Herald Square in NYC, duh, but it is enough to get you started. There is a sizable section of swimsuits/coats (depending on the season) as well as dresses here for women. I noticed a lot of Calvin Klein here. The lingerie section is really good. The lady is always really helpful and Macy's carries one of the biggest selections of Vanity Fair. Vanity Fair is great for full coverage bras, and they even have a few in smaller sizes in full coverage, which is something I rarely see in other department stores. The housewares/kitchen stuff is always really fun to browse. There are always random gadgets on sale (a belgian waffle maker? A Magic Bullet? A meatball rack? OK!), and with your Macy's card and/or savings pass and/or Friends and Family pass (during select times of the year) you can definitely get some nice savings here. The womens shoe section looks kind of sloppy. I think they could do a better job displaying some of the shoes since the formula seems to be take a section of the wall and dedicate it for certain types or brands, and throw shoes where they like. Also Macy's does not do a good job of carrying wide-friendly shoes and/or wide widths. read more

I walked into the store, nicely asked one question, and the lady wouldn't even let me finish my sentence and started yelling at us. Very rude and unprofessional. Macy's Furniture in the Augusta mall is the absolute best experience I've had with purchasing furniture. The lady who assisted me was very helpful. She sent me to shop around somewhere else (I went and ate lunch) so she could look everything up and have everything ready for me without me having to sit there and wait. She called me when she was ready and the process of finalizing everything was quick and easy. Delivery date was only about a week and a half out and they delivered on time (rarity these days). The delivery guys were very professional and did a great job getting everything in and setting it up. I received a call from my sales lady later that day wanting to ensure everything got delivered and went well and I was satisfied! I absolutely love the sectional I purchased and the price for the quality piece I got was worth spending a little more for the cheap furniture and horrible delivery experiences at some of the major furniture chains. read more

This Macy's is pretty good, but lacks some selection in certain items. I actually came in to find a tie pin for my boyfriend. After searching a good bit in the suit dept of the store, I decided to ask one of the clerks. She was very helpful, and lead me to where all the cuff links and tie pins would be. Sadly their selection sucked, and couldn't really find the color pin I was looking for but had to settle with something. The clerk apologized but told me that there would be more selection in Atlanta, to which I was not surprised, so that is what I am going to do. The lay out is just like that of any Macys, this one has two floors. The first floor has the men's and kid's section along with housewares. The second floor has jewelery, makeup, juniors, and womens clothing. Went to the Mac counter and I can't recall his name but he was very nice and helpful. Seemed knowledgeable with my questions and gave me options. The only thing is that I did say I wanted the foundation he showed me but he didn't listen and I'd already said it twice. After totaling everything I just let it go and figured I'd pick it up another day. He wrote it down and made a customer card for me though so I could remember what we looked at so I'm happy about that. Maybe it was a mistake so still 5 stars for overall. read more

I was shopping for some pearl earrings for a gift for my fiancée and since I was in the mall I decided to see what Macy's had to offer. I was in my work clothes and that must have been a mistake. The lady behind the counter looked down her nose at me. I asked her if they had any pearl earrings that had 18 carat gold. I was informed they do but nothing they would show me because just for my knowledge I should know the earrings would have south sea pearls, if I knew what they were, that would make the earrings very expensive. That's great. I actually knew all of this information but I won't bother to stop by here ever again. My suggestion is go to a local jeweler like Windsor where you won't be judged or looked down upon and get the "expensive" jewelry without the attitude. read more

JUST SHOES PLEASE! I really love Macy's for shoes. When I visited this store recently, they were having a great summer sale. They had clearance sandals that were approximately 50% off and when you purchase them, you get another pair FREE. Yes Honey, Macy's has gone BOGO! They have a huge selection of summer sandals still left and that's great if you are looking for sandals. However I was interested in scoring a nice pair of fall pumps for my daughter. If you are planning on coming here, be prepared to wait because I only noticed one employee working on a busy Saturday afternoon. Good luck with that! read more

We purchased a while back a set of Tools of the Trade Cookware Set, when the handles started falling off we took it back because it had a "lifetime warranty" and when my husband got there with our pots they told us the would not take them back....Called their corporate office and got the same Sorry!! customer service when asked to speak to a manager they refused!!! I don't really shop in Macy's, only for the MAC counter. Not saying that this store is bad or not worth the money. I actually think they have great merchandise I just don't shop here. They have many designers represented here. I don't know where all the departments are located but I know the upper level is women's apparel, makeup and perfume counters, and women's accessories. I look at some of the items when I walk through to enter the mall and it's pretty nice. I frequent the MAC counter here when I'm wanting to splurge on my beauty look. The makeup artists are very friendly and helpful always giving suggestions on trying new products that they have, I know that's what they get paid for but I like to know what the current beauty trends are. Maybe one day in the near future I will browse more and become more familiar with the store and its merchandise. I will definitely be back for my makeup needs!!! read more

This is the worst Macy's I've been to as far as customer service. There is never enough staff, or managers on duty. They sell items that are malfunctioning or don't work at all. Had to come 3 separate times in order to buy a watch because they had no one on staff! On top of the fact that they will do anything in heir power to make sure you don't talk to a manager. I would not recommend buying a bed, I have bought mattresses from them and they do not hold up 2 yrs , I can remember when they held up 20 . I had a tech guy come out here to tell me why the bed was sagging, he said not good box spring support and it was not their problem, I bought the box springs from them as well also they set it up , I would not recommend them for beds! they do not honor their Warranty's very disappointed since the bed was an 800.00 set of mattress and for me that is not cheap read more
