Catholic Social Services Thrift Store - Favorite find from the $1 racks. CK dress

I've only had one bad experience out of the 20 times I've shopped here. And it was so bad, my day…read morewas ruined and over some stupid toys that were in a bin for 5/$1. I guess the lady at the register was having a bad day and decided to take it out on me. Treated me like I was a scammer or liar. It wasn't worth the argumentative and contemptuous reaction we received and it was my daughter's first time coming. My mother is in a wheelchair and the 3 of us were having a wonderful afternoon until that woman ruined our vibe. Of course, I was correct about the sale but she just didn't believe me and wouldn't take the time to walk over there and verify. A manager came over because I was getting upset at the way I was being talked to. If you raise your voice to me, oh... you will get back what you're dishing out. Anyways, whatever! Ridiculous Now with that out of the way, CSS is my favorite thrift shop. It's nice knowing that the profits help families and the community after emergency situations and it's a lot cleaner than a lot of other thrift stores. If you have boujee friends, they have a boutique section with more upscale and newer things. I, personally go straight to the $1 racks(and I always find something!) and their bin sales. I've found 2 Calvin Klein dresses(at different times) on the $1 racks. But I've bought things from every section they have. They even put out free stuff by the entrance/exit. I'm too old for prom dresses, but they have a lot of beautiful gowns and evening dresses for cheap. If you're low on cash and need a gorgeous wedding dress, look here first. You won't regret it! But the customer service is(with the exception of that one day) great. They do have paid employees but they depend on their volunteers to keep inventory flowing. Even the volunteers have been helpful to me when I need to plug in an appliance or try out some furniture. Although they won't help load or deliver. Just be prepared if you're buying large items. One more thing. If your cell phone has CASHAPP, they have a rewards program that you can use for a discount and CASHAPP keeps up with the points. I didn't sign up for it until after I'd spent over $100 and I kept coming back. So, I missed out on those points.

They are constantly putting new stock out and I've acquired everything from kitchen appliances to nice work clothes, vintage jewelry.and accessories, decorative items, linens, and sporting goods. They have it all. Like any thrift store, their stock changes and depends on what is donated, so checking in frequently will be your best bet to find the items you need. The prices are excellent for a thrift store these days. Clothing items tend to be around $2.50, as do shoes. Accessories are also inexpensive. They charge a bit more for the luxury items that come through and jewelry is priced on a case by case basis, but they never gouge you. You can always find gems here. I highly recommend shopping here and donating as it benefits the community. They are known for accepting vouchers to help low-income and people in need get work clothes and school clothes for kids. I've included some.images of items I've purchased here. You can find quality clothing items here that will last you a long time. They also have a huge bin of cheap clothes like t-shirts and shorts suitable for outdoor work and here's where you can find clothes for kids that won't break the bank. It takes time to shift through the bins but at such a. Cheap price it often pays off.

This…read morestore carries sizes 12-30ish and there are very often sales and promotions that accentuate the 'hip', trendy, youth-focused clothing. Of course, being as this is an edgy, youth oriented place, the clothing can be fun, but fleeting. There aren't a lot of 'classics' in the selection, but all things considered, there is a lot of choice. Torrid carries everything from bras, panties, stockings and shoes, right on up to scarves, belts and other accessories. My finds in store are great, but if it's not in the store, the website will have it! Besides the clothes that actually fit, I love the changing rooms! They're spacious, well lit and they have fans to keep you cool! There are huge mirrors, better than adequate seating and helpful salespeople write your name on the door when you go in. I plan to keep going to a place that makes me feel this welcome.

If I wanted my funky and edgy curvy fashion I would have to do whatever it takes to have it. I love Torrid because they really have clothes that fit the curvy and plus body well. They aren't afraid to give us current trends while giving some edge. Shoes are offered in large sizes and widths. The employees I met at the grand opening were awesome even with the amount of people there. Every single woman shared in my excitement of their arrival. While there are other plus stores in the area, I can see myself at Torrid at least once a week. Thank you Torrid for coming to Augusta. I don't think Mister's happy watching his money walking out the door though!

I was finally able to check this boutique out yesterday!!!! I was unable to attend the Yelp event…read morehere so I had to check them out on another occasion. This small boutique is behind Applebee's on Washington Road. It sits on the left next to the Chinese massage parlor. I was greeted quickly by the associate working. I gave them a head's up that I would be coming that day because I saw them post a beautiful distress denim skirt on Facebook and I actually bought that exact skirt. When you walk in the straight sizes are on the left and the plus sizes are on the right. The associate working explained this to me and the sales items were to the back. There is a dressing room in the back to the left. I did try the skirt on to make sure it fit properly and it did. Check out was a breeze. I was able to use a Yelp coupon for 20% off one single item. The associate thanked me for coming and told me to come back and I told her I definitely will be back. I can't wait to see what type of clothing they have for the cooler months. I really enjoyed shopping here!!!! I glad I was able to finally get to check them out. Even though I don't need any more clothes I can't wait to see what else I can add to my wardrobe!!!!

The shorter the better, the tighter the better, and this store catered to the young demographic. I was shopping at this store every week. Over time my style evolved and my taste matured, so this store didn't quite go with my current style aesthetic. I was in the area and decided to drop in to see what type of clothing they offered now. I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and the store was SPOTLESS!!! Nothing was out of place. I looked around and saw some interesting clothing. I made my way to the sales rack and that's where my luck began!!! I found several tops, dresses and shorts that I liked and eventually tried on. Out of all the things I tried on I found a pair of rayon shorts and a sleeveless top I could actually wear. The top was really cute but it wasn't the exact price I wanted to pay for it so I decided not to buy it. I also found 2 packages of 5 pair of Aztec print socks for $2.99. That was a steal so I couldn't leave without them and the shorts were on sale for $7.99. I had been searching for a pair of shorts like that but the ones I had been seeing were a little flimsy and had this dropped crotch thing going on with them making them look like a saggy diaper!!! Not the look I'm going for at all!!! I'm actually glad I stopped in and checked them out again!!! I'm sure I will be back and checking them out once again!!!
