Over the past year in 2021, there has been an outbreak of cockroaches. After only one treatment and leaving a jar of honey open after their treatment, and after emptying every cabinet in my unit and storing everything, including food, in my garage , it feels like they have been eradicated. I just spoke to the owner who is going to have someone return in less than 10 days to inspect and review whether we need another treatment. I have never felt safer in my life. And I have had no cockroaches approach my opened honey jar in 2 days since Monday and it is now Thursday. Take that, any company who wishes to challenge them!

When an employee returned to replace them, I thanked him for locating matching tiles. His response was that he was only replacing them because "he wanted to," not because the company was responsible under its contract. He also referred to us as a "difficult client" because we raised concerns about landscaping damaged by their trucks and other project-related issues. What surprised me most was that, after completing a termite treatment project involving more than 20 homes, the company chose to argue with a homeowner over the replacement of three damaged roof tiles rather than simply view it as good customer service. I remained courteous throughout the conversation, but I found his comments unprofessional and unnecessary. I appreciate that the tiles were ultimately replaced. I only wish the interaction had reflected the same level of professionalism.

But this year, we sold one house and bought another, and as it turns out, termite inspection plays a pretty significant part of both of these processes. Our realtor works with Noble Termite and linked us up with them, and they did a satisfactory job dealing with these tiny house-destroying pests. The inspectors came on time, and the inspections moved quickly. That part was easy. Our old place got the all clear; the new one had some termites in a couple places, and Noble did spot treatments to get rid of them. This was on the sellers' end--Noble recommended fumigation, but the sellers didn't want to pay for it, and the need was not obvious. Unfortunately, termite inspectors can only look at what's in plain sight, and when our contractor started doing work on our house, they found termite and termite damage under some of the siding, and under the house. We ended up tenting, not because we were infested, necessarily, but for our peace of mind. Our realtor got in touch with Billy of Noble Termite and he cut us a good deal on fumigation--$1,700, significantly less than what we would've paid elsewhere. They were never obligated to take apart the siding and find every last termite in the house--they did us a favor and took on the job of giving us a termite-free home/state of mind at a significant discount. They sent over a subcontractor to do the actual fumigation, and they did a great job. We moved out to my parents' house for a couple nights, and came back to a house that looked and smelled the same, but felt a bit more solid. We're no longer worried about termites, and I hope we won't have to think about them again for a very long time.

Protip: always shop around before you give a company approval to start work. I was quoted $400 to remove the shrub ("normally charge $600 for you $400" wow, what a deal) that took 1 guy 1 hour of work. But I was pretty distracted (wife just had a baby) and had him do it anyway. After the job was done, I realized that I have a six-figure job, and I don't make anything close to $400 an hour. When I asked why it cost so much, he said "You have to look at the fact that I took care of it right away for you. You're paying for the prompt service not an hourly rate." He wasn't wrong, but I knew I got overcharged, because I shopped around for quote after the fact. He later gave me a $50 refund. It made things a little better. In any case, they did remove the shrub quickly. Minus 2 stars for the high price. Any more deduction I feel would be inappropriate, because technically I agreed to it.

They overlooked the more expensive damage for the seller and then for the repair that they did do, used indoor wood for outdoor which swelled up after it rained, did not wood fill in the screws and left them exposed, siliconed the bottom of the wood panel straight to the ground and did not repair the baseboard on the other side of the wall. They had to come out twice to fix their crappy work and i just gave up and fixed it all myself.
