As a longtime customer of Michael and Son Services-Raleigh, I emailed this company early today to…read morerequest expedited electrical service for my scheduled appointment for today after I awoke very early this morning to repeated and frequent chirping of my fire alarm system upstairs. After I failed to answer the call from the technician this morning as he called to confirm my home address, I phoned this company to complete my request for earlier service today (if possible, and proved to be possible), to confirm my correct address, and to schedule another visit for my annual heating HVAC checkup (which was initiated by the employee on that call), all of which was due to my inexperience with my cell phone, not Michael and Son's interactions with me, which were competent, courteous, and professional. The service provider named Gabriel Catalano was exceptionally personable and professional. He performed his duties with competency and consideration for me. I enjoyed his presence and trusted him in my house. His parents should be proud of him. He's a credit to the human race. I am also grateful for the many times Michael and Son Services-Raleigh has serviced my house. I look forward to continuing working with Michael and Son Services-Raleigh for all my applicable needs. Jorge, braved my attic with a repair component I had purchased, but the component was not an exact match and getting the system to work as it once did proved to be way too difficult. However Jorge knew what he was doing and suggested removing the remote, and replacing with a wall mounted switch that would eliminate anyone ever having to go into our attic for the ceiling fan ever again. Get quotes from at least three companies before you do the work!…read more Express electrical was VERY FAST at coming out to give me an estimate, they even told me they could do the work the same exact day. I wanted to get two electrical outlets installed outside and switches by the front door. I looked up the parts myself and it came out to around $100 in parts. They wanted to charge me $705.00 to do the work which results in about $605 labor for two hours of work. I asked them if they could simply drop the $65.00 dispatch fee for my home being more than 20 miles away and told the guy giving me the estimate they would still make $540 labor, he told me "no". He also said "You won't find anyone else to do this job any cheaper" which was a little rude. I called and got a few more estimates and got another company to do the job for $500, saving myself $205 dollars. Keep checking Google Maps and look at company reviews, then call a few. Sometimes other companies are willing to work with you a little more and give you a better price. While Express Electrical is fast, they have high prices and don't seem to want to work with you any.

Was searching around on Yelp for an electrician and gave these guys a call. Super friendly to chat…read morewith! I was looking to install a new chandelier and was getting a bunch of quotes. This was the only electrician that I called that charged per hour and not just a flat free per service. I like this way better because you pay for how complicated the job actually is, not just a number they pre set. They let me know what the max they thought the job would take, over estimated it so I could know what the worst case scenario would be cost wise. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly for the next week so I scheduled it. The guys who came on install day were friendly, one was an assistant, they worked together well. They didn't have one of the parts they needed so they stoped the clock while they waited for it to arrive so I wouldn't be charged for the waiting time. All in all it took well under their max time frame and they did a great job. At the end of the day this ended up being the most affordable of all the quotes I had gotten. They even asked for a vacuum to make sure they cleaned up any plaster dust left behind. I appreciate that, I have had other electricians in who leave a mess and don't think twice about it. Not these guys, they want to ensure they leave the place as clean as it was when they walked in. My only suggestion would be to setup an online bill pay system, would make things easier! I will definitely be calling Wright Brothers again!
