This company responded quickly, gave a reasonable quote, and did a great job! Jose was excellent, couldn't recommend him more!

Excellent service and fair pricing. José went out of his way to take care of everything I needed. I couldn't have been happier.

They were very good, nice and professional. A fair price as well. Felt very comfortable with their assessment and fix of the problem.

Josh came to do some work A+++. He replaced a light switch and outlet. He also installed new smoke detectors, replacing the pigtail (electrical connection), mount and used the batteries I gave him instead of the generic ones included. He also did some adjustments to a light fixture and a second outlet that were installed not straight. He took less time than I expected. He was done with everything in about 90 minutes. He tested every smoke detector after installing them. We previously used one of these electrical and plumbing companies but we were not happy. I'm so glad we found Raleigh Electric. I got quotes from 4 other companies, all about $800-1200 for the same work. I paid less than $300 to Raleigh Electric for all this work. read more

We hired Raleigh Electric company to upgrade the electrical system of our house. The company sent Isaiah's team to handle electrical work in my old house, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Isaiah is a fantastic leader! He led his team showed up on time, worked quickly, and kept everything on schedule. The pricing was very fair, especially given the extra challenges of updating an older home. They were responsible, professional, and made sure the work was done safely and up to code. Everything was handled so efficiently without cutting corners. I highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done -- you'll be in good hands! Buer Sen and Zhihui xie read more

The service was completed and brought the old house up to date. We didn't love that the timing was broken up extending the length of time needed to be out of the house but overall, the job got done. read more

My go-to for all sorts of electrician services -- ev charger install, adding some outlets, etc. great service, great prices.

I've used Raleigh Electric for several jobs in the past year. These included: o A high voltage/high amperage NEMA 14-50 outlet installed in my garage for car charging. o Addition of can lights in an upstairs flex space. o Installation of various WiFi switches used for home automation. o Troubleshooting an AFCI breaker problem that was driving me nuts. Dealing with Brandon during the estimation phase of the project has always been easy, he is quite helpful when it comes to exploring various options for a project, and eventually arriving at a price that stays put. The work done by the electricians has always been high quality. I haven't had any problems or required any do-overs for anything, and am happy with the results. Ethan in particular has shown a lot of skill dealing with the various glitches common to any home improvement project. My photo of the recessed LED lights might not do them justice, it's hard to capture the entire project, but I have to say that these replacements for old-fashioned can lighting look really great. The plug in my garage may not be glamorous, but it is just what I needed and is doing the job without any fuss. Raleigh Electric will be a great choice for your next project, I highly recommend them. read more

Raleigh Electric did the electric work as part of a recent major renovation. Our house was built in the late 80s and the renovation required a large amount of re-wiring. Raleigh Electric took the time to think through where switches should be, how to connect different lights and how to make things convenient for us. Our technician, Jason, was wonderful to work with and really went the extra mile. The real brag on Raleigh Electric was the complicated work they did to hang a heavy fixture I got from my grandmother's house and had restored. It is heavy and complicated. It was originally a gas fixture and only goes together one way. Jason executed this flawlessly. We could not be happier with our experience with Raleigh Electric. They exceeded our expectations! read more

Total waste of time. I provided detailed pictures and clearly explained what I needed from the start. After going back and forth for over a day, they still didn't give me a quote. Instead, I was repeatedly asked for the same info, only to be told at the end that I had to create an account just to get a quote. That should've been communicated upfront -- not after hours of messaging. Very unprofessional and shady. Would not recommend. I have texts and pictures to back this up. read more

Needed some general work done (installation of ceiling led lights, Tesla charger, thermostats, replacement of smoke detectors). Prompt and quick. Would use for future projects read more

Great service! Very knowledgeable, reliable and efficient! They completed multiple jobs in just one day!

Very professional, job was done to code and with high attention to detail. Highly recommended and will be our new go to for electrical work in the future. read more

We got 3 quotes for the service requested, Raleigh Electric was the lowest, but they did a great job. I wish I could give 4.5 stars instead of 4. It's not 5 because we ended up with larger and more holes in the ceiling than originally told we would (still need to repair them, but we knew we would), and a few other small things. Overall we are happy with the work and would hire again with no hesitation. read more

We worked up an estimate over the phone about the 2-3 things I needed to have done. The appointment was set for today, and Josh arrived on time. He asked questions to clarify my needs and proceeded to fix the problems I had. It took him about 2hrs to complete everything and had me look at it before he left. Company = ***** Josh Hatley = ***** Communication = ***** Value = ***** I will use them exclusively for any projects from now on. read more

We had a list of things from our inspection report that needed to be done. Hannah was great at receiving our list and confirming the work, along with being very patient in scheduling/rescheduling dates (several times) due to our changing timeline with contractors completing a renovation before our move-in date. In addition, she always kept us updated and communicated promptly via email/phone, which I appreciated. The work done by REC was completed on three separate days. The electricians were friendly, informative, and professional the whole time. One particular electrician, Jesse, was very thorough in his work. While he was working on the repairs, he told us not to hesitate to ask him to check for anything else of concern or if we needed anything else done, let him know. I took him up on his offer, and I asked him to check the garage sockets and move a ceiling fan from one room to another, and he did so without hesitation. Oh, and Brandon came in on the third day, introduced himself, and thanked us for our business. We are happy with the quality service REC has provided us, and we will not hesitate to call again in the future. We're just so glad everything is in working order in our home. Thank you, REC! read more

Highly suggest this company for any of your electric needs! The team that was sent out to our house was super professional, timely and even helped us get an antique light fixture hung that we threw on them last minute. Will 12/10 be calling them again for any future electric needs read more

Highly recommend! Raleigh Electric was the only electrician I contacted who actually came out to my house to give me an estimate. Brandon did a great job explaining some of the quirks of how our electricity was wired by the previous owner, and helped us figure out what electric projects were reasonable for us to do as new homeowners. Scheduling the electrician to come out to do the work was easy and quick, and Giles came out to our house and did a great job! I really appreciate that I received text messages for both visits when the electricians were on their way, and another text when the work was complete. They were also very responsive by email and I never had to call them. read more

Since purchasing my house I have had occasion to use Raleigh Electric Company multiple times - everything from replacing a few gfi's to reconfiguring from a pool to a patio with ambient lights and kitchen to trouble shooting several lighting fixtures. ALWAYS prompt, courteous, professional, thorough, and reasonably priced service. (When was the last time you had an electrical contractor sweep up dust and detritus after their job?!?). As a homeowner I feel very secure knowing that I can call on this company for top notch service. read more

Raleigh Electric was professional and hospitable from first contact. For me, that began with an email exchange with Hannah, who promptly answered my questions and provided an accurate, fair estimate. We proceeded to schedule my appointment by email, which was my preference. Giles arrived on-time to resolve my needs with quality and swiftness. His gregarious demeanor was a nice bonus. Having recently returned to North Carolina due to Covid, I'm grateful to find a dependable resource for electrical needs in my new home. read more

We recently bought a small house here in Durham. NONE of the outdoor outlets worked. Raleigh Electric had very good reviews, so I made an appointment with them. They solved the problem (which was a bit complicated, actually), charged a reasonable rate, and had a professional attitude. I'd definitely use them again! read more

I had a great experience with this company! Josh was friendly, very knowledgeable, and did great work. He was patient with my questions (including investigating something that wasn't initially on our list). Josh was also very clear about the work he had done (explaining things and showing photos) and made sure everything was checked off our list before heading out. I'd recommend Josh and Raleigh Electric Company to anyone needing electrical work! read more

Extremely professional operation. I contacted Raleigh Electric and got a bid for work at my rental house: can lighting in two room, a wall sconce, and fan lights in two rooms. The company gave an estimate and communicated well. All was good. During the course of the work, a small parts issue arose, which required extra trips. At this point, I began watching closely, to see if the company would fade away or become difficult to work with. Nothing was further from the truth. Ethan did a great job locating the missing parts and completing the job. Hannah was great at communicating the latest updates. I'm super-impressed. Not only did they do an awesome job, but they executed extra cycles to get the job done when a problem arose. Highly recommend. read more

This may have been the best experience I have ever had with any service provider in my home. First the office was very responsive in communicating with me concerning the work we wanted to have done in our home. The only reason I am not giving a five-star review is that there was a missed opportunity to communicate that there may be extra parts and service needed for our job and we got a bit of a surprise when the required work was a little more than our budget. That being said the price that we were quoted for our job was significantly lower than several other electrical contractors, so even with the extra parts and labor I believe it was fair value for the work done. Our electrician and the office worked with our schedule and upon his arrival he was courteous professional and I felt like he went above and beyond in the completion of the service and completely following through with clean up and removal of packing materials. Josh is a journeyman electrician and that means a lot to me in terms of having confidence in the quality of the work done in my home. I would definitely recommend this company for any sort of residential electrical needs. read more

Marvelous service and responsiveness. They even made a return visit when our can light retrofit was readjusted by the drywallers to re-seat the lights. They provided a clear and itemized invoice and completed the entire scope of work in a timely manner. They left the work area much cleaner than when they entered it and even had the patience to humor my attention-hog of a cat. I highly recommend them and hope to use them again! read more

Called them due to a switch that was bad and starting to melt. Wanted to make sure I had no wiring issues (would really like to avoid a house fire!). They sent out Giles the same day and he looked everything over and determined that there was nothing to worry about. He replaced a switch in my kitchen that was starting to go bad and he was so informative answering all of my questions! Would definitely use this company again! read more

After having our house power washed recently, our GFI outlet in our garage kept tripping, causing problems with our garage door opening and closing. Giles came out promptly and pointed out that the problem was that water from the power washing company had gotten inside the outside extension cords, etc., which were controlled by the garage GFI. Giles was very accommodating. When he arrived, I was in the middle of a Zoom work meeting, and he got the job done with minimal interruptions. I appreciate that not only did he fix the problem, but he explained to me how to avoid such problems in the future. I would highly recommend Giles and Raleigh Electric Company. read more

I contacted Raleigh Electric Co for a few small tasks I needed help with. They answered the phone when I called and I was able to make an appointment for within 24 hours. I had a problem with being in due diligence and having another electrician fail to provide a quote after an on-site. You absolutely need a quote for negotiations. I messaged Raleigh Electric fairly late at night, they got back to me early in the a.m. and were flexible enough to show up when we already had another vendor scheduled *that* morning. Eric (sorry if I'm misspelling your name, buddy) spent a good amount of time looking at the electrical and confirmed the needed work. I had a quote in my hand (email, ha) promptly and one of the co-owners, Brandon, was gracious enough to send an email to me at my request that outlined the exact problem with the wiring so we could illustrate the necessity of the repairs to the sellers. I will revisit this review when/if the work gets done, but so far their customer service has been outstanding. Thanks guys! (and gal!!!!) read more
