We have been customers here for quite some time. Never have I seen something this awful when it…read morecomes to customer service. Our father passed away in October and it was a tough time for all of us. We had plenty of family coming through the house and we enjoyed going in the hot tub now and then. However, we noticed the water level was a bit low at times, so we called Lifestyles to come take a look. The first service rep came out and claimed "the water level was too high and he needed to come back at a different time." We were ok with that. The rep charged us $164 for a service visit and informed us that this charge would count towards the next time they came out to check. Again, completely acceptable. Then, the problems started. The rep took more than 2 weeks to come back out and when he did, he only claimed "the cap was too loose so we tightened it." He proceeded to charge my mother additional fees for that. That didn't solve the problem, however! We still noticed the water levels were low. We called them back to have them come out and fix it (as they should have the other 2 times they came). They did, but then proceeded to charge my mother ANOTHER $164 for a service visit. Basically, doubled the service visit fees despite a single fix and the reason for the multiple visits was their fault. When we reached out to them to discuss the charges, the person on the phone refused to transfer my mother to the manager and claimed "these charges look standard." Refused to help my mother with ANYTHING! Needless to say, we will NOT be giving them our business anymore and I would recommend the same to anyone else

They understand that it's a large leisure purchase and you want to be sure of what you get. They also gave us all the treatment chemicals free to start out with! At the end of my first month I brought in a water sample and they used a machine to give a detailed readout beyond what a test strip could do. Then the manager plotted out all the steps to bring my water into all ideal ranges and also wrote me out a cheat sheet for future use. He seems to claim several names, Jeffery Anderson at times. Probably both fake. He said that we needed a new heater. So I paid him in advance for the heater as well as for that days service call. He subsequently blew off TWO following appointments without calling to let me know why or when he would actually be back to install the heater I paid for. So on top of everything else this cost me, I lost two days pay waiting at home for him for no good reason. He surely could have picked up the phone to release me from this unnecessary waiting game but chose to leave me hanging interminably instead. All this time I had space heaters on my tub, hoping it did not freeze up which would destroy it. When he finally did show up to install the heater, I had told him in advance not to wake me up until he had the job done. When he woke me up he told me that I owed $355.00 for that days labor. I trusted it was true and paid him as I had not idea how long he had been working. Later, I checked my security cams and discovered that it took him under 30 minutes. Since when do hot tub techs make $700 per hour? Knowing that this is an unreasonable amount to pay for hot tub service I contacted the store. Charlie the owner of the store, who had previously told me that he had personally trained the technician to work for him, told me that he was not responsible for what I was charged and it was none of his business! Really? So, even though the tech was trained at the store, and sent to me by the store, they claim to be...not responsible? That about sums it up. Avoid!
