This was my first time visiting Westborn Market in Livonia. The Livonia location has much better deals that I would never imagine finding at the Westborn in upscale Plymouth. There were good sales on cherries ($1.99/lb) and eggs (Dutch farm extra large eggs for $1.69/dozen). The vegetables look fresh and are reasonably priced. Some of the baked goods made at Westborn are still higher in price and on par with the location in Plymouth, but it's good to see some deals. This Westborn is also much larger than the one in Plymouth with lots of parking. I recommend coming to the Westborn when in Livonia!

We looked up online what it was as we hadn't heard about such a store in Metro Detroit. And we weren't surprised that there wasn't an outlet nearby that we could go to. 6-8 months after our visit; we find out that Bobs was coming up in Livonia; and when it did we decided to go visit since we were looking for a couch for our movie theater setup in our basement. We liked a black, pure leather recliner with quite a few bells and whistles that we decided to get for ourselves. We have had it in our basement since and it is perfect! This last month we swung by there again to look for a larger dining table for our house ; after looking around quite a few other online and furniture stores in the area. We saw that the prices that Bob's offers are quite a bit competitive for the quality they offer with their furniture. These days all furniture stores for some reason are also backed up on deliveries and it has been hard to find anything in stock to bring in immediately. Bob's was no different; but still the quickest and most upfront about the delivery date. We decided to get a table and to our surprise it was delivered much earlier than anticipated. We got it delivered today! Thanks Bob's Discount Furniture! They also have a very good 0% finance option to buy stuff from them.

So, yesterday I was next door at Duluth stocking up on some hot new overalls and decided to pop in to At Home because I need a few new garden decor thingys to replace some stuff that (after nearly a decade!) I've had to retire. 3 hours later I left with a cart full of garden gnomes, plant stands, a new patio umbrella, a small outdoor mat, and metal garden stakes. I also walked every aisle, and made mental notes to return for some organizing things once I have my office redo finished. The price points feel a little steep for some of the items, and they didn't have particularly deep markdowns but i'd say the prices are about on par, if not a bit less than, Homegoods. But the sheer volume of options they carry makes up for it. When I walked in I said "Oh my God" because the store is HUGE. They easily had 8 rows of just lawn figurines and the aforementioned metal signs. I said to my mom, "it's not just that they have a lot of stuff they have a lot of variety in each item of stuff." So, not just a handful of patio cushions but multiple rows dedicated to several different styles and patterns. At least 4 aisles of just REALLY BIG planter pots. Halloween and Christmas already had a bit of a showing and honestly, I wasn't even mad because the place is so huge it just feels like they should keep those displays up all the time because they've got the space for it. Now that I've gotten my bearings I don't think i'll need quite as many hours to visit (i don't think I'll need another walk through the picture frames or oversized candelabras anytime soon) but who knows. Now that I've been once I can't wait to see what they have in store (literally and figuartively) for peak holiday time!
