I met my three goddaughters here to shop for school clothes. I thought that it would be fairly expensive because 1) I'm talking about 3 girls and 2) they wear uniforms. What I didn't realize is that the clothing prices here are insanely inexpensive; of course price is relative, but all things considered I still think that it is inexpensive. This was a pleasant surprise for me because they each were able to get a lot of pieces and the total was just under 50 percent of what I originally thought it would cost me! Oh yeah, happy dance time. For the most part, the clothes were fairly organized and most of the racks were full. We shopped during the last hour and a half or so before closing; the store wasn't very busy. This meant that I didn't have to wait in line. The service was about average, nothing to rave or complain about. I give it a 4 because it is a good place to shop for youth clothing and it is a plus that they carry items that fit school uniform requirements.

They occasionally have a few items of interest, yet the displays are awful) yet better than than in comparison to the day they first opened)........but it's always a bit of a eyesore.. it always seems as if the manager needs to straighten the place up.. it is chaos!! Or vest are hit or miss/ sometimes low, occasionally off the mark.. I've seen carhart jackets and j crew pants for decent prices and yet I've looked at tankless candles pretty cedar as much as the original retailer and cheap looking sesdinal decor I can buy at dollar tree at an 1/8th the price.. If you want to go bargain hunting, be prepared to look around awhile- and bring hand sanitizer.. and don't be disappointed that toy couldn't find much because of the disorganized clutter!! Don't bother requesting help from an associate- even if you can spot one.. they do their best to ignore customers..

Nope, Big Lots has changed and I don't care for it too much. It used to be kind of fun to stop in here once in awhile and see what they had because the stock changed so much. It was always a hodgepodge of odds and ends, closeouts and products in discontinued styles for cheap, along with no pretense, dorm room-style, assembly required furniture. No more! Now it seems like the novelty of what made Big Lots cool is gone. All I see now is more and more cheaper imitation Art Van and Lazy Boy knockoff furniture and convenience junk food. The prices are higher, the selection is poorer and the parking lot is so characterized by pot holes that I'm afraid I would damage the shocks or struts on my nice car by parking here. The pot holes are like craters, so heed them when shopping at this Big Lots. I don't understand why they are turning this Big Lots, which is supposed to be an outlet for odd lots, discontinued items and closeouts from larger department stores, into a wannabe furniture store. At least before, there was no lying about what the quality was like. It was cheap dorm room quality stuff for practically nothing that wasn't designed for a real household with families and all that entails. Now, it looks like a closeout furniture mart. It's sad. I used to love finding gourmet coffee and tea here for cheap. If I was looking for furniture, I'd go to a real furniture store, not here. The international food and chocolates section is but a quarter the size of what it once was and the selection isn't what it used to be. No more good bargains on Swiss chocolates, Belgian coffees and seasonings from all over the world. This store could be cleaner, too. When was the last time they waxed the floors? It looks like never.

There's basically no stores left. Quite literally, the two reasons the mall is still open is because of Planet Fitness and JCPenney. I'll be surprised if this place is still open next Summer. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of respect shown to customers at Walmart. After yet another negative experience, I've decided to take my business to Meijer. While their prices might be slightly higher on some items, the superior customer service, friendly employees, availability of cashiers, and respectful security measures make it well worth the difference. Unlike Walmart, where customers are unfairly targeted and accused of theft based on appearance, Meijer seems to value their customers. I will gladly pay a little extra to shop where I feel appreciated and safe. read more

They love the wide aisles, the courtesy clerks ready to take the groceries out and load them into their vehicles, and the overall friendly attitude all the workers display. Cashiers and courtesy clerks are always eager to help customers unload carts when they see they could use some help--such as people in the store-provided Amigos. The produce and the meat departments seem to get the most compliments on their quality as well as their selection. Many claim their doughnuts are the best, even though they cost about 30% less than area doughnut shops. There are no bottle return machines in Bueche's. You enter and right in front of you is the service counter, where you hand them your bag of cans and bottles. They count them and hand you the cash right there. No need to wait in line with a slip of paper. They are the only area store that still doubles your coupon value. Sale prices apply to everyone, without the need of a member card to receive the discounts. Like another reviewer said, some prices are higher, some lower. I have had them order certain products they don't carry--a few days later, and it's there for me. I have shopped here since I went with my mother when I was a child. I don't know of any store where you consistently get treated as well.

I must have fulfilled this as I have had people recognize me from there as recent as ~ 5 years ago. Over the years I (my family) have commented there is not a cleaner, well stocked or friendlier grocery store than Bueche's. While we live in West Michigan now, when we are in Flushing visiting family, we do all shopping at Bueches...even if we are driving by one of the other chain stores.
