Discount designer heaven…read more I like this T.J. Maxx. It's close to home, they have always have a big clearance section in the beauty/cosmetics aisles and they have the best prices on designer sunglasses. I picked up a pair of Kenneth Cole sunglasses last summer that retailed for more than $90 and I paid only $14! The clearance sections are always worth checking out. Decent prices on handbags, linens and kitchen items, with rock bottom prices on fragrances, beauty products, sunglasses, and shoes. You never know what you might find. Sometimes I walk out with a bag filled with legitimate bargains and other times I just strike out. The key is to shop often. There really is no customer service to speak of and I don't expect it at a TJ Maxx, but if you have a question, there always seems to be someone around to answer it for you. Dressing rooms could be kept a little more organized, but that's not a big deal to me- I rarely use the dressing rooms. Who does, anymore? My best all-time purchase from this store is probably my black Christian Dior jacket that I picked up for a song. I don't know I managed to snag such a find, and I have yet to duplicate that kind of success since, but I certainly hope to! Unless it's the holidays, the lines- while sometimes very long and seemingly snaking around the store- do move pretty quickly. Shopping in the evenings during mid-week seems to be the most optimal time because everyone in town seems to be tearing through the racks during the weekends.

This TJ Maxx location is not great. It's sad because it is the only one in the area. Shelves and…read moreracks are cluttered/in disarray. Employees are not customer service oriented. It might be worth it to wander in and see if you find anything but generally not a fun or satisfying place to shop.

I am formally notifying Value City Furniture of serious service failures regarding my order of two…read moremodular sectionals. Key facts: Manufacturer delay of four weeks was already communicated. Confirmed delivery did not arrive on the scheduled date. No communication of the delay was provided. After repeated attempts (four calls, emails, nonfunctional chat link), I was told delivery will now occur in 10 days, with no ability to expedite or reschedule. I was refused contact information for the manufacturer or delivery company and told VCF is not responsible and there is nothing they can or will do. Value City Furniture / American Signature is failing its duty to provide timely service, transparency, and accountability. This is unacceptable. As consumers demand for immediate action: Written confirmation of the exact delivery date with expedition of delivery. Full contact information for the manufacturer and delivery company. Explanation for the lack of timely communication. Compensation or remediation for inconvenience and disruption, including lost work time and being without furniture during the holiday. As paying customers, we have a right to transparency, timely service, and recourse for failures.

The Worst Customer service ever!! I drove two hours to this…read morestore for a Lamp that was on clearance that the Sterling Heights store called to verify prior to me taking to the drive! I purchased one at Sterling Heights that was like brand new and I went to the flint store upon arrival I asked for the person who the rep spoke to prior to me arriving there, she proceeds to show me the lamp, the lamp is damaged which she told the rep on the phone I said ok I still wanted as I wanted the pair again the one in Sterling Heights was $100 and practically brand new, flint lamp damaged and shaking bad $279 upon my arrival but per the phone call the rep stated that it would be $100 I asked for the manager she (Donna) pretended to be the manager, I went to the car then decided to go back in and try one more time, then she stated she is not the manager he is not there today! Talk about the worst Customer service I literally drove two hours to get the other lamp!! I won't be shopping at Value city again and I would never shop at the flint store as the staff there has the worst customer and they staff don't even know what position they are really hired for they don't know if they are managers or associates upon ass

Came to buy a dress shirt or two, but instead left frustrated without buying anything. Very little…read moretraffic, but no associates assisting or straightening out in this department. The same exact products in different spots with contradictory price information. Best example (one of many) is the shirt in the picture. Is it $12.99 each, or $40 bogo-half-off? Only reason the score isn't lower is because other departments I passed through looked better.

A newly upgraded JCP!…read more I like the upgrades, including the remodeling effort and the mix of higher end diffusion lines (MNG, Liz Claiborne, etc) with old stalwart JcPenney brand staples, like St. John's Bay, etc. The prices are still good and they always offer plenty of discounts. Some of my best "cheap chic" purchases have come from here off the clearance racks in the clothing and jewelry sections. With one of the those $10 off a $10 or more purchase, I snagged a necklace for free- well, almost free as I just paid the tax. That happens more than you would think. Another time, I picked up some nice flannel sheets for my queen size bed on clearance (75% off) for only $9 after the the coupon. See, dreams do come true. I think the housewares department located upstairs is really nice as well, especially with the new Jonathan Adler home decor line. I love that stuff. Its' fun and whimsical style meets affordable chic. This store, like other JCP stores, has a Sephora as well, although it's not as well-run as I would like it to be, but I'm glad they have one. This store is always clean and the displays are always neat and tidy. Customer service is hit or miss, but that's pretty much my only complaint.

Really cute little home decor store I found merely by chance…read more. We stopped in after having business to do in the area and were delighted by this beautiful and whimsical little shop, which has lots of cute home decor, accessories, DIY rehabbed furniture, antiques, craft paints, jewelry, and much more.. I had no clue it was here til I saw the front window display with such charming items, which visually drew my eye, that I had to stop in. My husband and I shopped around a bit, saw many cute things we thought would look great in our redecorated sunroom, and chatted with the owner, who is super friendly, knowledgeable and nice..she carefully wrapped up my purchases, including some ceramic pieces and some vintage jewelry and mentioned they have DIY furniture/craft paint classes during non business hours, too- I dint know how much those cost, but the classes sounded interesting and I think we'll delve into that a tad more. We're both huge DIY furniture flip types, and rehabbing and painting (or just sprucing it up) old antiques and worn out furniture kinda is our thing now.. lol..if you're a "Flea Market Flip" or "Shabby Chic" type of fan, the restoration style of the merchandise here might be your thing. I know I was a kid in a candy store after finding this little retail gem.. and I didn't even know it was here. If you like country core aesthetic, rustic/modern, shabby chic or farmhouse design, you might like the stuff they have here. It's a little store yet there's a lot to see.. Prices were pretty moderate and the selection is quite varied, with great customer service (which is difficult to come by in the world of retail). I'll definitely shop here again.
