Located in an older building, the cafe has a relaxing, "stay a while" vibe. We were drawn to the large prayer wall filled individual prayers left by patrons. Soothing, compassionate feel. We are not religious and noticed the highly religious theme of this cafe, which is OK with us as it seems the owners/management walk the talk. They donate a percentage of their profits to charities. We ordered a mango-pineapple smoothie and two decaf mochas. Our granddaughter felt the smoothie's pineapple taste overshadowed the mango, but enjoyed it. We liked that the mochas were smooth, had a rich coffee flavor and were not too sweet. The warmed cinnamon roll which we shared was perfectly done. Soft, gooey and full of cinnamon with minimal icing. We purchased a bag of coffee beans, which this company roasts themselves, for our son for Father's Day. When Manteo, we will be back.

Every time I've come in has been a pleasant experience. The store itself is filled with gourmet food, wine, beer and even has a nice cigar section. It's also nice that they serve coffee drinks in the back of the store that you can actually sit and have a drink at the mini bar area. Very cozy and cute! However, I'm sure I've had too much coffee this morning (I'm still drinking an iced coffee from my last stop), so no more coffee so my heart doesn't explode. I settle on a few unique seasoning packs for $20 and am out the door before I decide to buy up a bunch of their delicious chocolates like I did last time I was here! I was in there day before yesterday and someone had literally pooped themselves all the way down the hallway to the restroom and no one had cleaned it up. There were two cashiers waiting on what must have been over 20 people in line when I got to the cashier, he said looks like your ice cream melted. I'm like yeah no kidding. That's how long I've been in this line! Today my husband went in there to get some deli meat and the woman refused to cut him something at 3:50 in the afternoon because she said they were closing early today at 5 PM. Just close the store if you can't run it! Let somebody else come in that maybe we can do something better.
