They are the best bakery in town. It's Heaven in walls. Support this wondrous place. I'm so thrilled they survived Covid as a business.

I've heard great things about Sarkozy Bakery for years, but never had a chance to stop in since…read morethey close at 5 pm or earlier. We happened to be in town during lunch time so Nate and I stopped in for a quick bite. Their lunch menu includes some sandwiches, a couple salads, pizza, soup, and quiche. I got the ham and cheese sandwich, and Nate got an 8" pizza. The food came out pretty quickly, and I liked the sandwich. It had plenty of mayo and thickly sliced ham and cheese. It came with a little cup of pickled veggies, which I enjoyed. I had a bite of the pizza, which was very tasty! The prices were great - I think my sandwich was $7.50. We also got some pastries for dessert - I chose the cherry danish, and Nate got the pistachio croissant. Both were very tasty and not too sweet. The vibe of this bakery is more old-school and homey than some of the more "trendy" bakeries that I'm used to - not a bad thing, just a little different. They sell loaves of bread, cookies, and pastries. I loved their merch, too - cute pins, hats, tote bags, etc. They have brunch every Sunday and they were swapping out some art while we were there. It's a cute spot and I'm glad I finally got to check it out.

3.5 stars for now!…read more My friend and I met here for brunch & coffee a couple of months ago. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, love that they implement the little "library" where you can take a book & leave a book. The fireplace is unique and pretty, too. They also have gifty goods that you can buy. The food was good, my friend enjoyed her quiche and I had a bagel with smoked salmon- there was a drizzle of a honey and I thought it was such a nice touch! I had wanted to try their lavender latte but they were out of the syrup. I tried their hazelnut instead and did not enjoy it at all. It tasted like sweet milk, it didn't seem like there was any coffee in it at all. To me, coffee should be the star and it just wasn't. My hope is that if I give them another try the coffee will be much better.

Situated in my girl's hometown, this cafe certainly offers something unique for this community…read more With its straight and flavored coffees, small plates, bakery items, welcoming atmosphere, and drive thru, it has found a comfortable niche. Vicksburg is too small of a market to attract a Water Street or a Starbucks, and so far there is no Biggby's. Windfall's only breakfast competitors are two traditional diners: Yogi's (situated a mile or so to the west) and Rise N Dine (downtown). We happened to meet our niece this morning, just by luck, so we ate and drank and caught up. The cafe has counter service. My girl had a water and the Grilled Breakfast Wrap (described as "bacon, egg, & cheese wrap grilled to a crispy outside & melted inside served with garden salsa"), our niece had a coffee and the Spinach Quiche, and I had a coffee and the Biscuit and Gravy. The breakfast entrees are all small plates and were priced as such ($3.95 - 4.25). The entire breakfast for the three of us was $17. We ate in what the cafe describes as its "Green Room." Though Prairie Street is a main thoroughfare into Vicksburg from the west, we didn't hear that much road noise. The food was yummy though I thought my coffee was stunningly bitter.

A complete nightmare! BEWARE!!…read more The owner Amy is full of herself and has absolutely no professional etiquette whatsoever. Starting with her inability to answer straight forward questions and ending with her backing out of contract and cancelling our order 50 days before my wedding after I already paid the down payment! She cancelled the contract and refunded the down payment I made to hold the date - leaving us to find another cake vendor on short notice! Her excuse? She has worked "for Bert's for 42 years and made over 10,000 cakes and feels like no matter what she does, she won't make me happy." Photo attached. All I did was ask about the pricing for the samples because no other cake vendor had required payment for samples so I didn't know how much they cost. I also asked her which location we should visit to try the samples. Lastly, I told her that I couldn't believe that she was charging us the same amount to deliver the cake across the street as she would charge us if she were driving across town. I didn't say I wouldn't pay for delivery... I just told her I was surprised that she would do that. The other cake vendor we were considering wasn't charging us a delivery fee at all and they are located 30 miles away from our church! I was put off by how unprofessional she was from the beginning when I first reached out last fall. The only reason I decided to finally give Amy a chance is because she was cheaper and right across the street from our church. Now I understand, you get what you pay for...... because Amy is a MESS. Absolutely awful and I feel sorry for anyone who has had to deal with her. I saw in other reviews that she is described as rude, cheap, disorganized, snobby, and that she talks down to customers. I can confirm that she is ALL of these things and worse. The cake isn't even that good and at this point I'd rather buy one from Sam's Club than have to work with Amy and her staff. She doesn't send you a contract until you pay her a down payment, which is strange. Typically you create a contract/agreement, have both parties sign it, and then you ask for the deposit. The contract looked incredibly sketchy - Words were misspelled, font was all over the place, punctuation and grammar were hideous. Photo attached. Just so you know, AMY - Nobody cares HOW MANY YEARS you've been making cakes, HOW MANY CAKES you've made in your lifetime or HOW GREAT YOU THINK THEY TASTE if you continue to be a an inconsiderate, egotistical, uneducated, defensive, stubborn old woman who can't figure out how to treat people and keep your word. That's just bad business... I don't care who you are. I'll "wish you the best" as well...

I called with only a week notice and she was happily able to accommodate. I told her my daughter wanted a chocolate cake, I wanted buttercream frosting and that her party was ice cream themed. I also told her I was thinking about having an ice cream cone on top that looked like it was melting and that we were having an ice cream sundae bar at the party. We were so excited to pick up our cake and see how beautiful and perfect it was. The buttercream frosting was so delicious. Everyone at the party enjoyed it because it's not a sweet sugary buttercream. It has the creamy taste and buttery texture without the really sweet flavor or grainy sugar texture like most buttercream. When it's cold it almost breaks but when it's room temp it's smooth like whipped topping almost. It's far from whipped topping you'll find at Meijer or Walmart (which I don't like!). I can't wait to have our next cake make by Sweet T's. I'd love to try a cake that's chocolate with chocolate frosting and even one that's got Bavarian or something on the inside. Definitely give her your business. You'll be happy you did.

I emailed back and forth and Tenia was very helpful. I told her I wanted a selection of cookies, I think I got 12 dozen that first year? I wanted enough for her entire staff plus all the counselors, too. I asked for some gluten-free, some vegan and a variety of flavors. She made an incredible selection for their training kick off and had them delivered to camp. A year later, I was an "expectant grandma" and had several dozen baby cupcakes delivered to camp as well for my daughter. Beautiful pink "champagne" cupcakes, my daughter loved them and said they were delicious. I am not from the area so have not yet tried them myself (next time I visit!) but everyone at camp who tasted them absolutely loved the cookies and cupcakes. I appreciate Tenia's customer service and making it easy to work with her over email/phone and taking my payment. Wish I had the photos my daughter sent me! I was able to pull this one off my daughter's instagram but really wish I had her photo of the cupcakes, they were beautiful!

Items in the bakery cases look good but they just don't taste of being freshly baked. Today was the last time we will visit. We bought a couple peanut butter cheesecake bites, a few cannolis and a cream puff. We expected the cream on the top of the cheesecakes to be soft and fluffy. It was hard. The cream puff shell was dry. The cannoli weren't filled completely and the filling was just not appetizing. We really wanted to rave about this bakery but just can't. I see so many great reviews here and on Google about their wedding/birthday cakes so maybe their fresh baked items are better.
