I spent in excess of $10k on dental work in that time, and mostly saw Dr. Jones. I had a dental "emergency" this morning, and since I had been established with them and they repaired the now split tooth last, I called and they could get me in that day! I told the scheduler my dental insurance, and she asked me to call back with the member ID, but did state that if I couldn't get it, that they could look it up with my SSN. I called back a short time later with my insurance info, and no issues were brought up. I even paid a small bill I had from the past (that I didn't remember) as well as the cost of the appointment and xray (for a total of over $200) just to get this appointment. So I get to the treatment planning part, I'm told I need a crown by the dentist. "Finance" comes in and says it will be $2k for a crown and core because Excellence no longer takes my insurance... She offered for me to pay the total out of pocket, and then my dental insurance "may" reimburse me, as Excellence is "out of network" for them. They knew my insurance at 8:47 am, still had me come in and then let me get through my whole appointment without telling me my insurance would cover nothing. Then, Ms. "Finance" had the nerve to smirk and smile multiple times with no empathy when I explained that I could not afford that much out of pocket, and I was at a loss as I have a partially half-broken front tooth, that is still partially attached, and was afraid to eat for fear of losing the whole tooth. Long story short, the dentists' and other staff seem like good people and do decent work, but there is nothing they do that another, kinder office couldn't. This is NOT the dentist practice for you if you don't have large amounts of expendable cash on hand AND want to not be treated like "the poor".

It took a long time, but the staff were kind and courteous during the teeth-cleaning and health evaluation process. They treated me well, and I felt my dignity was respected. We were able to set up a care plan for me, and I look forward to getting my kiddos the care they should be having there. They are faith-friendly, and have a very nice care experience.

I called yesterday for a dental emergency and and she got me in immediately. 30 minutes later no tooth pain and feeling good. She saved our family vacation!! The office is the most beautiful medical building I've ever been in. The equipment is all brand new with 3D imaging. Beautiful chairs and very relaxing office atmosphere. I'm usually very anxious going to the dentist but this office completely puts you at ease and they offer noise canceling headphones along with several other things to help keep you feeling relaxed! Let me just say I'm not a fan of dentists. I really, really stress over dentists and dentistry…read more There are a number of reasons why but I need to be handled with kid gloves or I have an panic attack. Dr. Cleveland literally made fun of my anxieties, suggested I was paranoid and a bad person. He is a wizard with numbing your mouth but was judgmental when I suggested that listening to a crying baby for 45 minutes during my already stressed out condition was not conducive to dental health. Dr. Culley (who I'm told has left the practice), was never satisfied with my oral hygiene and literally told me my teeth would fall out if I don't use floss. One of the hygienists suggested I should have all my teeth removed if I didn't measure up to her level of hygiene. I'm told she's also left the practice. Finally, the desk staff were too harsh in billing problems, calls, etc. After I stopped going to the practice, I got a call from the desk folks telling me it was unprofessional to not notify them I wasn't coming back. Honestly, I didn't tell them because I would have triggered a confrontation. I hope the new staff there is better; I hope they now tell parents with crying children not to reschedule when they have child care. I hope they recognize that folks with anxieties need special care and attention. And I hope that the front desk staff learned that people should be treated with respect and the customer can be rude or difficult but never professional; they seem to forget it's my money that pays for the service and I have the choice to go somewhere else that better caters to my needs.
