I have a partial plate that needs adjusting. I have a second plate with a retaining wire that rubs against the thin part of gum surrounding the root of a neighboring tooth. In the past, the wire has rubbed the gum raw and bloody, so I can't wear it more than an hour or so without pain. I cancelled an appointment today because someone from the office said the doctor wouldn't try to adjust the older plate; she would only see me with the newer plate. I'm not sure if the doctor doesn't like male patients, doesn't like senior citizens, or just doesn't like me. She has never once called me by name, didn't bother to introduce herself on my first visit, often speaks dismissively to me, and inspires little confidence in me that she cares about my discomfort. I wasn't surprised, then, by the phone call. At 76, I'm no stranger to being treated as someone foolish and unintelligent. However, even if I am completely wrong, I'm still stuck with a partial plate that doesn't fit correctly and one that causes sharp pain. read more

I would NOT recommend anyone to go to this dentist. The receptionist and dentist appears to have no experience with dental insurance, or billing the patient. I have never had such a horrible experience in trying to educate her to the process. The dentist appears to want to do procedures that are not necessary and not approved by the patient's insurance. A very unprofessional and untrained dentist office which also has an unprofessional look. read more

I went to another dentist and that dentist asked for their X-rays. They refused to send the better X-rays and sent an X-ray that was totally unreadable. After spending $229 for their in-house insurance, I feel I've wasted my time and money and will be getting my $1,425 refunded next week. I absolutely do not recommend this awful business; however, the dental aid and dentist themselves were very nice people. I do not hold them accountable except for whoever sent the defective X-rays. It's the company itself that has ruined my experience.

They were able to get me in a couple of weeks. I didn't have to wait long. There is a $25.00 fee for new patients (non refundable) which I understand incase of no shows. This place is pretty big, not only do they do dermatology, it's also a place they do Botox and other cosmetic procedures. It's so clean and the staff is attentive/ super friendly. I walked in and stood at the desk for a good ten seconds before the staff greeted me. I could hear them chit chatting about something that was clearly not a work conversation. The nurse called me back and she must have been having a bad day. She seemed really disgruntled and annoyed. I told her what I was there for - I'd mentioned two concerns when I set the appointment, but a couple more things had come up since setting the appointment about a month prior. The doctor came in and immediately told me she'd only treat me for two of my concerns today and I'd have to come back another day for my additional concerns. I was really taken aback as I've never had a doctor refuse to treat me because of time constraints. After the doc left the room in a hurry, I asked the nurse why I couldn't be treated for all of my concerns today. She told me the office scheduled me a 10 minute appointment for just one concern. I told her I had mentioned two concerns when I set up the appointment. She then told me that setting appointments is not her job. I felt snubbed. It seems to me that these folks are in the business to make money rather than to help people. Bad first impression, I won't return nor recommend them.

Terrible experience! Dr. Hoover created an incision in my lower left leg to remove basal cell…read morecarcinoma. They scheduled stitches removal at 14 days. I followed care directions but sent a message through the portal at 9 days (a Wednesday), with a photo, stating I was concerned about the incision site. No one contacted me. On day 11, a Friday, I phoned to follow up and shared that it was looking worse. They could not find my message, even though I can see it on my end. The nurse had me send another photo; her response was, "Hm, it does look a little angry," and she said she was sending it to the doctor so I could have information before the weekend. Crickets. The next morning, I went to urgent care, where I was diagnosed with a significant bacterial infection and put on a strong antibiotic and very specific care instructions. I was told I was a high risk for sepsis and a blood clot, and there was no certainty that this particular antibiotic would work. It helped, but not enough, so now I'm on my second antibiotic for treatment and am still restricted in my activities. I was told that stitches in this part of the body should not be in for more than 7 days. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. The stitches were in too long, and TWICE I contacted them with concerns, and they did not respond to provide basic patient care. The photo you see is the same photo they were given.

I was visiting from out of state and developed a dental issue that I felt needed to be seen by a dentist. I called HometownDDS and they were able to fit me in to see Dr. Tanisha Moore for an evaluation. From the moment I walked into the office, the front desk, the technicians and Dr. Moore were friendly, attentive, professional and genuinely interested in caring for me. X-rays were taken and it was determined that I did not need medical intervention. I highly recommend HometownDDS and will return to their office if needed when back in Springfield. read more

I have not been to any dentist for close to 38 years and of course I finally went because I had a broken tooth.
