I just had my yearly preventative appointment with Springfield's Gentle Dental. This business runs professionally and generously, with a lovely personal touch. The specs important to me in local dental care are: clean, sterile office equipment and surroundings; no fear of entering a "cavity mill," wherein every tiny tooth anomaly "requires" a filling; friendly, professional staff/employees; thoroughness in record-keeping; educational intervention on oral care; creativity in problem-solving (e.g., if you need to be seen but their schedule is full, or dealing with insurance companies); pain control; and state-of-the-art dental care/technology. Dr. Nezhad's Gentle Dental exceeds in all these criteria, in my opinion. I have no fears when I go in there, and I always know the experience will be as pleasant as possible.They have provided continued education and have are always prepared with my insurance issues. They have yet to "hard-sell" me any unnecessary procedures, and the office is spotless. The staff is flexible and collaborative with the patient. I have never had a bad experience here. The dentist and staff are always very courteous and helpful. His wife has always been friendly on my visits. In fact, she made such an impression on my first visit, I decided I would make this our family dentist (my three older sons and my two children who are still at home.) They all like this dentist and his staff who are just as great at making you feel welcome and comfortable with every phase. The place is always welcoming, very clean and inviting. I was impressed after I had dental work, the follow up was great. They accommodated my schedule and understood all my concerns. My son had work and he was prescribed antibiotics and pain medication with the same great follow up. I have never had a problem with billing and my insurance. The staff have always answered my questions re: co-payments and billing. My family and I love this dentist and would recommend him highly. I use to be soooo afraid of dentists because of a childhood memory, but now I know I can trust that I am getting great service for me and my family. read more

I am a long patient standing with Dr. Nazhad. Me as well as my three sons and my husband, who by the way is deathly afraid of dentists. He makes us all feel welcomed and comfortable in his chair. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I had previously went to the same dentist for over 10 years. I went to Gentle Dental to discuss cosmetic procedures that my previous dentist did not provide. I have been going to Gentle Dental for almost 4 years now. All the staff are amazing and kind. The dentist live up to the name of gentle dental. Never starts any procedure before making sure I am 100% numb. There are payment plans available if you can't outright afford the cost left after insurance has covered their part which is super helpful since my insurance only covers about half the cost. Dr Nezhad is an excellent professional and his entire staff is reassuring and friendly. A trip to Gentle Dental is actually a relaxing social experience. I have had my previous Dentist since 1978. He retired this year and I wasn't looking forward to finding a new one. But my daughter recommended I go to Gentle Dental and I am please to say I felt fine going here. I was greeted and made very welcome and I especially like the high tech equipment in this office. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the facility is very clean, and their equipment looks to be top notch.
