I found Dr. Gioiello on my dental insurance site and then looked him up on Yelp. I would like to thank those who Yelped before me, because this guy and his staff are GREAT!! I felt very well taken care of. He and his hygienist were kind and listened to me. The first thing he said to me was "Tell me about your teeth". He is a caring dentist. They didn't do what they were supposed to, never got back to me and I have to do the legwork to resolve it! Although I asked twice why the x-rays weren't taking, they refused to answer. Basically, they dropped the ball, blew off their commitment to follow up and now tell me they can't do anything unless I get the x-rays they neglected to take. I spent in excess of $10k on dental work in that time, and mostly saw Dr. Jones. I had a dental "emergency" this morning, and since I had been established with them and they repaired the now split tooth last, I called and they could get me in that day! I told the scheduler my dental insurance, and she asked me to call back with the member ID, but did state that if I couldn't get it, that they could look it up with my SSN. I called back a short time later with my insurance info, and no issues were brought up. I even paid a small bill I had from the past (that I didn't remember) as well as the cost of the appointment and xray (for a total of over $200) just to get this appointment. So I get to the treatment planning part, I'm told I need a crown by the dentist. "Finance" comes in and says it will be $2k for a crown and core because Excellence no longer takes my insurance... She offered for me to pay the total out of pocket, and then my dental insurance "may" reimburse me, as Excellence is "out of network" for them. They knew my insurance at 8:47 am, still had me come in and then let me get through my whole appointment without telling me my insurance would cover nothing. Then, Ms. "Finance" had the nerve to smirk and smile multiple times with no empathy when I explained that I could not afford that much out of pocket, and I was at a loss as I have a partially half-broken front tooth, that is still partially attached, and was afraid to eat for fear of losing the whole tooth. Long story short, the dentists' and other staff seem like good people and do decent work, but there is nothing they do that another, kinder office couldn't. This is NOT the dentist practice for you if you don't have large amounts of expendable cash on hand AND want to not be treated like "the poor".

I appreciated that both the assistant and Dr. Sato himself offered explanations to the procedural checks and diagnosis routines. I'm usually big on asking questions, but most of them were answered without any prompt. That's very refreshing. I have thoughts about switching to this office, as my usual office I visit is in Centerville. I would definitely recommend this location, due to the excellent service.

She left nasty message during quarantine because one of my little one's missed a cleaning appt. (I assumed was canceled since the dentist was only supposed to be open for emergencies) And NOW she sent me a letter that my family is NO LONGER WELCOME.... over $19.00. You read that right..... $19.00. When I showed our friends who also use this dentist , they were appalled. One of them even showed me a bill where he owes over $300.00 and has for almost 9 months. I dearly love our dentist and especially our dental hygienists, but seems their spiteful front end manager picks and chooses who she LIKES verses patient care.
