Very good burritos. Especially for Germany...I mean Europe....I mean everywhere outside of California and some other border states of the US. If you ask, they might give you a yummy smokey chipotle sauce that they will warn you is very spicy. It's not, but it's still very good. Service is friendly and there is an English menu. Will come again.

The 'Hatori Hanzo' steak Burrito was one of the best Burritos I ever ate in Berlin. Very friendly staff as well.

Nice people, cute small restaurant, but the burritos tasted like nothing, dry and no sauce.

If you have any semblance of interest in Berlin's brunch scene, you've probably seen photos of…read moreRoamers online. This tiny restaurant in Neukölln is the stuff that hipsters dream of: succulents and other plants galore, rustic decor, food served on wooden slabs instead of plates, long waits, and Instagram-worthy food. I'll admit to snapping a quick pic or two of my food before I dig in, but to my horror, one of the diners actually whipped out his DSLR and had a five-minute photoshoot with his meal before actually eating. So... yeah. You should know what to expect from Roamers before you get here. That being said, some of the obnoxiously hip clientele shouldn't put you off from visiting Roamers because the food is more than pretty good -- if you visit at a strategic time, of course. (Swing by on a weekday morning!) Immediately after walking in, I had the impression that the owner must be enamored with California -- the state flag, a license plate, and the plethora of succulents sort of gave it away. But there was an out-of-place Southwestern vibe that didn't quite jive with this Californian aesthetic. I asked the owner about it before I left and he revealed that he was inspired by Joshua Tree in Southern California. The food reflects this Californian/Wild West/Mexican aesthetic -- kale on kale, jalapeño cheese sandwiches, french toast, avocado toast, huevos rancheros, etc. I had the french toast, which was absolutely impeccable. Roamers really takes it up a notch with their interpretation of this classic breakfast dish: caramelized pear, berries, jam, and greek yogurt! At €8, it was worth every cent. And having complimentary tap water is definitely a plus because it's such a rarity in Berlin!

This was by far the best restaurant I ate at in Berlin. I went twice, once for breakfast and once…read morefor lunch. Immediately upon arriving the coziness of the restaurant is apparent from the outdoor tables, lush plants everywhere, and music coming out of the small restaurant. Each dish looks and tastes exquisite. Could not recommend this restaurant more highly. Be aware that it is cash only and the largest available table seats four people.

Really now, Germany? I should've probably known better than to get a burrito in this country…read morewithout doing extensive Yelp research beforehand, because döner is definitely king here. And if the döner joints on every corner didn't tip me off, the fact that the burrito I got at Taquería Ta'Cabrón looked more like a döner or some sad wrap with a dollop of salsa on it definitely did. Maybe the quesadillas or margaritas are passable, but my burrito was so pathetically wrapped that I've sworn off a return visit. In other words, everyone knows that a burrito's ingredients should at least be completely enclosed inside the tortilla... or whatever inauthentic tortilla substitute you end up using. C'mon, Ta'Cabrón. No partial credit. Because of the poor construction, the ingredients were poorly distributed throughout the entire burrito and each bite was a bland surprise. At €7.20, it's a bit pricier than a burrito at Dolores, but I'd go to Dolores over Ta'Cabrón any day.

was excited to try this place after 4 weeks in berlin and very little international cuisine…read more i showed up an hour before closing on a weeknight and was told they already closed? there were ppl inside still eating meals but whatever, that's disappointing tried again tonight i gotta say they are really living up to their name! they ask that you order at the counter, then sit and eat, then come back to the counter to pay?! never seen this before anywhere. why does everyone have to line up twice? that just slows your service down double. oh and the cashier is also the bartender so if you order drinks that will also slow down the line. i wait 10 mins to start placing my order and after i order the crispy tacos he quotes me 45 mins. okayyyy then i order the second item and he straight up refuses- he says that it'll take forever and they can't tonight. mind you there's not a single customer sitting inside and there are a few open tables outside they are obviously struggling to serve a half empty restaurant and for that reason i feel bad for their employees. they obviously need help and to reexamine the way ppl are served. the dishes i did see coming out of the kitchen were just room service quality mexican food. not worth the aggravation of trying to be served; on to the next!

I got to know this place because of my colleague. If she didn't take me there, I think it will take…read moreme awhile to find this restaurant. The location of it is not very easy to find. It located in the between of the neighbourhood, instead of main street. The restaurant isn't so big but sure enough for small group people. Let's talk about food here. I ordered their lunch special offer, the burger special, which you are allow to pick any burger under 9.20 euro. I picked the Hawaii burger. The potion of the plate was a lot. If you can't finish, no worries, you can ask to take away. I really like the French fries here. The burger was not bad either. The price of the special offers was really great. The service as well, really friendly. I am glad to my colleague took me here. Not a bad place to have a lunch.

It is with sadness that I write this update, because--as indicated by the four stars I gave this…read moreoriginally--I was a genuinely enthusiastic Powwow customer for years. As I mentioned in my original review, I recommended it because it was a great place for both vegetarians and meat-lovers to meet and eat, plus the food quality was decent too. For years, I regularly ordered the vegetarian quesadillia, which was filled with veggies, pan fried and served with a salad. I'm not a big eater so that fit my needs perfectly. For years, I genuinely looked forward to eating that meal; when discussing where to meet with a group of people, I often suggested coming to Powwow with the specific intention of eating that meal. I returned again last Sunday, and though the menu seemed to have changed somewhat--the quesedilla no longer included salad, but came with tortillia chips instead. I ordered it nonetheless, assuming that the quesedilla itself would still be the same pan-fried delight, with or without the salad. What I got instead was a floppy cold white tortilla filled with what appeared to be guacamole and sour cream, with some pico de gallo on the side and a few tortilla chips. The tortilla itself had not, as far as I could tell, been fried in any way, shape, or form. "What happened to the veggies?", I thought. "What happened to the quesedilla?" "What is this?" Needless to say, I was appalled. The food was only partially edible at best, and I left most of the floppy white flour tortilla on the plate. I was at a loss for what to say, and despite nearly 10 years in Germany, I still can't bring myself to reply to the question "Hat's geschmeckt" with a more honest "Nein, gar nicht". So instead, I just finished the meal to the best of my abilities, and vowed to leave the place as fast as humanly possible. It was just so awful. What made it all the worse for me is that the dinner was a kind of reward for helping a friend. I felt deeply disappointed by the whole experience. I will certainly hesitate before going back again. I am giving the place 2 stars in this updated review, however, were I not giving Powwow the benefit of the doubt, it would be getting 1 star from me now. I hope my experiences are not representative and that this was just a one-off problem. However, I cannot in good faith recommend this place, especially not to vegetarians.
