From a place that goes by the name "Mojito" I expected a proper drink, as I walked down here with a friend for an early cocktail we ordered a round of kiwi margaritas which were tasteless and dull, and then my friend felt like fixing the error with a mojito - we realized it's even worse. As we complained about the horrible taste the bartender asked to talk to my friend and didn't seem too happy about our criticism, and I'm sorry to say but 13 euros for 2 drinks with such a low quality - it's just not worth it. I gave them two stars and not one because people around us seemed happy about the dishes which also smelled and looked not too bad. But shame I won't be checking it out, with a grumpy service like that- you won't be seeing my face here. At all. read more

I went to Mojito a few nights ago and had a so-so experience. The inside of the restaurant is nice enough and the menu prices are okay (€8+ for burritos/enchiladas, €12+ for fajitas). When I saw that the menu was written mostly in Spanish, and that they had a limited number of non-Mexican dishes (hamburgers) I was excited. The meal didn't quite live up to expectations... To start I had a classic margarita, which was fine but a little small. They do bring chips & salsa to the table but one small bowl of chips is not enough for more than one person! For entrees, I had the enchiladas con pollo. There were two enchiladas served with a side of refried beans and a side salad. The salad had some kind of delicious dressing on it that I couldn't identify but I loved it! The enchiladas were pretty tasty, so I was satisfied with my meal. However, my husband had the fajitas con pollo and they came out very burned. It seemed like the cast iron plate thing it is served on was way too hot and continued to cook the vegetables and meat far past the point of being enjoyable. He was really disappointed, especially because of the €12 price tag, and mentioned it to the waitress but she didn't seem to care... Even though I had a fairly good meal at Mojito, we probably won't go back. There are other Mexican restaurants nearby with more interesting food and better service. read more

Food is only la la, had better. Mojito watered down. And the best at the end when you want to pay "cash only". If you don't have cash, they send you to an ATM where you pay a fee of €5...that could have been your tip...but customer service doesn't seem to be a priority. I recommend to go somewhere else read more

Tiny, but cosy Tex Mex restaurant. Friendly staff and quick service. Fairly large portions and reasonable prices. Rather small tables inside, but blankets provide comfort on the larger tables outdoors on Berlin's cool evenings. read more

Okay, the food was good. I'm going to say that before I go any further because the food, and the drinks for that matter, are good. However, I went in with allergies. I can't have onion and I can't have gluten. Gluten isn't a problem, onion is a bit harder. The staff assured me it would be no problem. I went for a safe option and ordered chicken nachos. The staff assured me it would be fine, there was no gluten and there'd be no onion. The meal came out and it looked delicious. I started eating it and pretty quickly (but not quickly enough) realised that there were giant onion chunks underneath the cheese throughout the whole dish and i'd already eaten some. The staff apologised and bought me out some cheese nachos (as apparently the onion was in the chicken dish). It was too late to avoid the damage and it took two weeks before my stomach was right again. Not to mention it ruined the rest of my time in Berlin as I was in so much pain for the next few days. I had high hopes, but this place is too German. The food was bland, the Mojito was a glass of rum, and Pinã Colada wasn't sweet at all.

Absolutely horrible. The taste and texture was memorably bad, the temperature memorably lukewarm.

I was walking down Simon-Dach-Straße with my wife and a friend and saw this Mexican place. I'd seen it before and thought it might be worth a try, so we went in. Ordered food, margaritas, got our chip basket; you know, standard Mexican restaurant experience. I ordered chicken fajitas, a good gauge of a Mexican place's basic offerings. The margaritas came and were ok, they weren't using a mix so I gave them that point. Once our food came, though, my experience changed completely. The chicken fajita filling came out on a skillet that was incredibly hot, clearly put under a broiler for way too long to achieve that sizzling sound and smell. What the effect turned out to be was definitely sizzling but after a few minutes I could smell my food burning at the hand of the eternal radiance of this cast iron pan. Even before the food burned, it was clearly nothing so great, and I can't really say I've ordered something that's gone from bad to worse right in front of me. I asked the server about it and she was totally unapologetic and just asked if I wanted another beer. And this place wasn't cheap either: the entree was at least 12€. Anyway, I would avoid this place if you can and go to Santa Eastside where you're not gonna get burned. read more

There are defintely better mexican restaurants in Berlin! The service was horrible, while the restaurant was pretty full when we came in, it was not overly full. After deciding and ordering our food, it took over 45 minutes to receive it! We politely asked how much longer it would be, since during that time 3 other tables, who all had come in after us and ordered after us, received their food, the only answer we got was "soon". We tried asking if this meant 5 minutes or 30 and the waitress would not say. After waiting on our food for a very long time, it was disappointing. The burgers were made from frozen patties and the food tasted bland. It ws overly priced for what you became, there is better around for less money! read more
