Cute little beach like restaurant in the middle of downtown Leesburg that has sand to dip your toes in. The service here was good. They had some good quesadillas.

Awesome vibes here! They usually have live music which is amazing and the whole outdoor seating area is done so well. There were a lot of people when I went on a Friday night where I could find a table, but it was one of the last ones open. The people I met they were really nice and all the workers were really attentive, even though they were so busy. Their drinks are made fast and taste good even though they can be pretty strong.

So as far as a bar / restaurant goes it's ok. The outdoor beach area is what makes this a cool little destination spot in the downtown Leesburg. The palm trees the old shack looking bar and a live band (good or just ok) ... can really transports you to a vacation beach location ( well not a 5 star one) but you can escape the hustle and bustle of the work week. I had the coconut shrimp... really tasty. The Caribbean jerk chicken is next on my list.

Somehow I was blessed with an 80 degree day on my February Birthday and I could not wait to have dinner at Mack's Beach! So glad it was open. February. In Leesburg. Live music. Feet in the sand. Drink in my hand. Doesn't get much better! Thanks Mack's for adding such a fun spot right in my little town. Definitely the best happy hour place in Leesburg.

Great concept but falls flat. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and the tables and grounds were covered in cigarette buds and trash (even next to the kids sand area). Not a good first impression for a first visit. There are no signs or information that you have to go to the little shack up front to order anything. After sitting for about 10 minutes we realized no one was coming to the table and promptly ordered our drinks and appetizers at the shack. Food came out quickly and everything was nice and hot. We ordered the fried pickles ("Frickles") and the peel and eat shrimp appetizers. Frickles were super crunchy and the boom boom aioli added a nice spicy kick. The peel and eat shrimp were good, not much if you're sharing it with multiple people however. Shrimp were seasoned with old bay and simple. The food was the only redeeming quality for this place. The kids sand area is a cute concept but I wouldn't consider this a kid friendly place unless you don't mind your kid playing in cigarette buds and cigarette smoke. We only had appetizers because based on what we saw outside and what little we could see inside we weren't too convinced the place was clean. There were strawberries left out in the shack area and flies were batted away. I have no idea why they didn't just cover them, but that apathetic attitude overall was enough for us to pack our bags and leave. Pros: The food - if you're the chef and reading this, you're not getting the recognition you deserve. I'd look for a new stomping ground because I think you have more talent then what's shown here. Cons: atmosphere, apathetic employees (when we walked in one employee was just dropping f-bombs one after another...thankfully my kids weren't present), and lack of cleanliness inside and out. We won't be back and I'm sad because this place had so much potential!

O it was alot of fun, laughs, and live music. It was the drink for me....child look that drink was appropriately named "Easy Lay" it was incredible...the bartender doesn't know it but ummm sir we are in a relationship now lol...joking for all you serious ppl out there. It was truly amazing. I will return for that drank and the sexy fries. Yes! You read that right sexy fries and they are. The staff hands down was amazing thank you Mikey for everything. It was a busy night and he was so quick to assist, friendly, and very funny. That's the post. Check this restaurant out.

Great place for drinks and live music! We visited and sat outside in the rain for 4th of July a few years in a row! It was tons of fun. The overall atmosphere is laid back and fun. The sitting is outside in the sand. You order food and drinks yourself at the bar and the food is brought out to ya. The love music varies by presenter but great experience overall.

COVID REVIEW. You guys are not abiding by any of the social distancing guidelines. You told people at the door you're "trying to fill to capacity" and built a line for beer because "your waiters were overwhelmed" and are not going by the rules of wearing a mask... You're team has also placed tables of families of 3 and 2 at the same table (WHO ARE STRANGERS!!!) without masks and it is truly appalling how little you care for your clientele. This is ridiculous after covid. This is phase one and you are showing you could care less about your clients. side note, bathroom; there was ONE roll of toilet paper between two stalls in the women's bathroom stall. me and the women needed to share and were disgusted. toilet paper everywhere This is not okay!!!!

Funky, decor average food and decent beer. Biggest problem is the staff. They are disengaged and not particularly friendly.

The upstairs has no A.C. and no bar service. Why have two bars on two floors if only one is functional?

She literally can make anything happen and works well with all venders (caterer, coordinators etc) I fell in love with this venue when I came for a wedding and now it is MY VENUE The space is huge and grand, everything is already so elegant you don't need to add too much to it. They allow you to cricket things onto their mirrors as long as it's removed during clean up afterwards. You have your pick of rooms to use, use it all!!!! You pay for it! The dressing rooms upstairs allows for space for the groomsmen (1), bridesmaids (3), family (1) and additional bathrooms and showers (bring your own towels) in the space! There's a balcony for a hidden dj if you'd like. But also for a bouquet toss, or just admiring your wedding and guests. The arch for the ceremony is already there and ready, it's beautiful even without flowers. Truly a beautiful space, plenty of parking for about 150 guests. I am so so happy it's my wedding venue in May!

100% recommend this place as a wedding venue for no more than 150 people…read more The venue: My wedding had about 135 and seemed like the perfect number. Also had my wedding in middle November which was a hit or miss on weather but was in the 50s, perfect weather for our little S'mores setup. And Birkby still had trees with leaves that fell late so we still had a variety of fall colors still in the backdrop. Birkby has such a homey comfortable feeling with the cottage house, gazebo and other garden space, and the reception tent. The tent, with the lightings, is so beautiful. When I asked a cousin for wedding pictures, she had about 15 of just the lighting. Good thing we had an actual photographer! The house has several rooms for the cocktail hour for the guestbook, gifts, and other neat hangout spots as well as a pair of restrooms. There are another pair of restrooms by the tent. The upstairs has a bridal and grooms suite. Bridal suite is large and my wife and her ladies loved it. The grooms suite is cozy with a TV, couch, and fridge--all you really need. The 2nd floor also has two porches that look out to the rest of the venue. Great photo ops! Coordinators: Had the viewing with Carleigh--absolutely fantastic and super friendly and decided to go with her and Kristin (Simply Royal Events) for our wedding coordinators. It felt like a huge advantage having them coordinate since they knew the place inside and out and knew most, if not all, of our vendors. They were quick to respond and adjust to all of our last minute changes and updates. They were all over the place (in the best way possible) from beginning to end as in they had everything organized and made sure people/things were in place and yet were also very available for any questions or comments I or the bride had the day of. The wedding transitions happened so swiftly that I hardly saw any of it happen. The ceremony chairs were swept off, space heaters were set up, the firepit and S'mores layout was done, and off I went through a line of sparklers. Vendors: The Birkby House has an open house every spring and invites their preferred caterer and vendors. Definitely check this out if you are interested in or planning on having an event/wedding at Birkby. There are a lot of local vendors present, some who don't really have the publicity as other vendors that may have hundreds of reviews. For example, we went with a local photographer Steve and Bernadette Dalgetty and even though we haven't received the pictures yet, they were such a charm to work with. We did go with their partner caterer Tuskies and that couldn't have gone any better. The tasting was a little unconventional. We basically just had dinner at their restaurant with a $100 tab so we couldn't really try specific items on their wedding menu but we tried the filet mignon and branzino dishes that best replicated the wedding entrees. We absolutely loved the filet mignon and this chocolate martini (which we added to our wedding) but the branzino was a bit dry so we actually considered removing the fish option but we were glad we didn't. ALL the food during our wedding was phenomenal from hor d'oeurves to entrees--best wedding food ever (said no one ever but I'm serious, Tuskies was amazing!) Not only was the food great but also Neal was so fun and easy to work with. They also allowed us to bring our own alcohol saving in some costs. I truly think the triple threat of Neal, Carleigh, and Kristin was the reason why my wedding went so smoothly or at least appeared like it ran smoothly haha. Misc: Other perks to the venue, there's a large public parking lot behind the venue that is really only used as a commuter lot during the week so it was fully available for guests. It's in downtown Leesburg so it's a great spot to check out a local bar if you come early. But speaking of downtown.. The con: The only negative thing about the venue is because it's in downtown Leesburg near residents, there was one resident who complained and called the cops multiple times. There's a noise curfew at 10pm which is when the wedding ends anyway but he complained well before 9pm. I'm sure this happens quite often, it has to being in such a residential area and while it was annoying having to deal with a disgruntled neighbor on your wedding night, the cops really seemed to care less. The cops said as long as the coordinators had the permit (which they did), the noise was fine.
