Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

The air conditioner wasn't working in bridal section upstairs. just the men's lounge. It was so hot! For how expensive this venue was they should have had air fixed or fans. Shadow Creek is a converted horse trailer that caters to Weddings and large events. They are located high on a hill overlooking the rolling countryside surrounded by horses & cows grazing. The cocktail hour was in a large rectangular room adjacent to the large dining room. They had two bars at both ends of the room, but was challenging to move from one side to the other through the standing crowd. The dining room was fairly large and the sound system for the band was actually very good considering we were in a once horse trailer. Overall I found the place unusual, but it surely a unique for a wedding.

My florals were more beautiful than I could've even imagined. The whole experience is a family affair. There's no stuffiness or cookie cutter event experience you are interacting with some of the most genuine and kind people that keep that wariness while also being the utmost professionals. Even while we were getting ready we felt we were absolutely taken care of by the staff (Ava in particular was extremely attentive and kind) And the food is just incredible! From our tasting, to our breakfast, no one goes hungry here. They are extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions and allergies and every single thing I tried was *chef's kiss.* The BnB rooms are clean and cozy and well-decorated. They come stocked with snacks and most essentials you may need and one of my bridesmaids now wants to know the mattress brand because her bed was so comfortable. The parking was easy to access and real close to the venue. The ceremony was nice, but the chairs were very close together and they didn't put any extra chairs out. They only had enough chairs for the number of people who attended. (I didn't appreciate this during COVID.) Furthermore, some people's view was blocked by pillars. This continued into the reception. We couldn't see some of the dancing and speeches because of the pillars. The Barn has one big room that is separated into by a partition for cocktail hour. I was surprised that all 100+ people easily fit in this smaller area. Part of the reason it worked was because they have a nice little loft where some people went for cocktail hour. As for the acoustics, I give this place 5 out of 5 stars. Granted it has a lot to do with the quality of the DJ's speakers, but it has good acoustics. The aesthetics of The Barn were okay. I feel like they were confused as to what they wanted to do when designing the space. They have 2 beautiful chandeliers that would be a perfect fit in a ball room, but don't work with the wood features. The last thing that I found a little distasteful was that you could see the tables that were going to be used for the reception during the ceremony.

The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The bedding was soft and fresh, and extra blankets and linens were readily available in the cottage. The bathroom was well maintained and stocked with plenty of towels. We also appreciated the well-appointed kitchen and enjoyed having a Keurig available throughout our stay. One of the highlights of our visit was the breakfast. Each morning featured delicious, made-to-order eggs along with other offerings such as pancakes. The homemade blueberry muffins were exceptional and easily made my list of all-time favorites. The owners were charming, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the local area and nearby attractions. Their recommendations helped make our visit even more enjoyable. Ron, the owner, prepared a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, homemade blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs, and fried potatoes. We took a dip in the pool, and also checked out the hot tub--all in good working order. We were the only guests on the property, and it is clearly undergoing a renovation. The grounds keepers arrived on our departure morning (but not too early), and their efforts were notable. It remains a work in progress, but we were still very comfortable. The price fit our budget, and we enjoyed being close to wineries and Middleburg itself (great for our morning stroll). I would recommend this property while it is undergoing its renovation.

My company booked this spot for our Xmas get together with around 2 full hours of unlimited axe…read morethrowing and food. It was my first time trying this out and I've enjoyed it. Some of my colleagues were new to axe throwing too and picked it up really fast. For the catered food, I really like the pizza and beer pretzels. I learned that it's a women owned business and I'd love to support more of such entities in the future.
