Silverbrook Farm is a magical venue! Every nook and cranny is a gorgeous photo opportunity. My husband and I got married there on June 8, 2019 and it could not have been a more perfect day. We knew right away this was our venue. If you read nothing else, go there and experience the magic for yourself! The owner is amazing and sweet and she can also be your officiant (she was ours and created a beautiful ceremony for us). We found you get way more included in this venue than most. They have lots of items you can pick from to use as decor. (I used votives, easels, furniture, lawn games, etc.) The main house has two suites for brides and grooms to get ready. And the main ceremony space has a beautiful, natural arch. Cocktail hour is on the lawn next to the main ceremony space, with chairs/tables provided. There is also a golf cart provided for guests who need assistance getting from the cocktail area to the barn where the reception is held. (If it rains, an intimate ceremony/reception can be held in the barn or tent if you have a bigger party and put one up beside the barn.) You have the option to host your rehearsal dinner there the night before, and also included is a one night stay (either the night before or the night of). We chose to stay the night of the wedding. And breakfast the next morning was delicious. We enjoyed coffee on the porch overlooking the mountains. You have the ENTIRE WEEK to prepare for your wedding (Tuesday to the following Monday). There is only one wedding per week, so the focus is all about you! Also provided is a day of coordinator, which is extremely helpful. We used the recommended vendors list and they did not disappoint! Everyone was very accommodating and professional. Easy access to the hotels in Leesburg or beyond. We did use a shuttle, but there is plenty of parking space as well. I'm sure there is a lot more I could say. I am still feeling the post wedding glow and we couldn't have made a better choice. read more

My husband and I married at Silverbrook Farm 9.8.18. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Dot (the owner/operator) IS Silverbrook. She is warm, beautiful, so accommodating. Dot told my then fiancé and I that it was important to her that we felt like we were getting married at home, and that totally resonated with us. For what you pay, the value is unparalleled compared to other venues we toured in the area. You get access to the house, barn, and outbuildings for the full week of your wedding. You and your friends/family can come and go as you please to set up for your big day. We also used Silverbrook for our rehearsal dinner location at no extra charge. Dot has sheds full of wedding decorations, silverware, dish-ware, and antique items completely available to create the wedding of your dreams. We stayed at Silverbrook on our wedding night, which was also included. Dot is available, willing and able to make your wedding exactly as you imagine it, and the beauty of Silverbrook is intoxicating. My guests can't get over the great time that was had by all and my husband and I had our dream wedding. We can't wait to visit Silverbrook in the future and relive our perfect day!! read more

What a beautiful location for a wedding! As a wedding DJ for over 10 years I have played at venues all over northern Virginia including at many farms and vineyards. This location was by far the most memorable! I greatly enjoyed Djing here in their barn for a wedding reception. It was intimate yet gave plenty of room for guests to enjoy dancing. Dot and the entire staff were so supportive and gracious to me. I would be thrilled to get the chance to play at this venue again and it will be the FIRST place that I recommend to any couples that are in search of countryside location that is picture perfect! read more

My daughter got married at Silverbrook Farm on July 20th, and in spite of the 104 degree temperature, everything was perfect! Dottie and her day of coordinator, Natalie, made sure everything went exactly as my daughter wanted it. The guests all raved about the stunning setting! Silverbrook Farm is as beautiful a wedding venue as it gets. Yesterday I attended the nuptials of Alex and Anna. From the moment we arrived, my fiancé and I were blown away by the views. The barn and the home itself were beautiful. You feel like you stepped into another century or the English countryside. The owner, Dot, was very helpful during preparation for the grooms party details and last minute adjustments. Disaster as a wedding venue. Beautiful farm. But that is it, just pretty. Don't come here for a wedding if you expect super perfect service like I made the mistake of thinking. We had our wedding here in September and paid 7400.00 dollars for what we expected to be a weekend experience. We never got our nights stay, we were told that any additional guest was an extra 359 a night. The event planner locked our guests in the barn, due to a mixup of communication with the caterer and the silverbrook staff, 25 of our guests did not eat, they lost our photobooth camera, they ate our food and drank our wine, the owner has a boyfriend that lurks in every corner staring at guests, never smiles and is never friendly. They forgot our wedding favors, and they started our wedding before we even had our videographer there, total disaster. Buyer beware. And when we asked to reimbursed the event coordinator fee the owner pretty much told us to take a hike. read more

Silverbrook Farm is an absolutely beautiful place, but even more wonderful than the rustic elegance of the property was Dot Shetterly. From start to finish, we felt we were in a partnership with Dot. She provided gentle reminders, problem solved with us and encouraged us to use her antique place settings, decorations, and even flowers from her lovely garden. On the day of the wedding, Dot provided a delicious breakfast for the bride and bridesmaids and helped during the ceremony and reception. Our day-of coordinator, Heather, was also fantastic and made sure the rehearsal dinner and the wedding went perfectly. Working with the team at Silverbrook allowed for us to have a completely stress-free and enjoyable wedding weekend! My daughter and her then Fiancé were searching out wedding venues throughout the area and the day they went to Silverbrook I hadn't heard from them for several hours. We were suppose to have lunch and when they contacted me they said "wait until you meet, Dot", the venue owner and officiant if needed. They said she is "warm, lovely , and the venue is perfect!" The first time I met Dot, I watered up because she's a class act! The vendors she recommended were amazing! Some of the vendors we found ourselves were not so perfect. Dot said "all that mattered at the end of the day that these two were happily married." However, from the early on the recommendations and support that she gave us was professional and spot on! The food was very important to us and the caterer she included in recommendations went above & beyond. I have never heard so many compliments on food for both the rehearsal & wedding dinner. I was able to deliver items to be stored the week before the wedding which gave me time to visit with out of town guests and enjoy the pre-wedding time. The ceremony was planned for outdoors with a view of the mountains, the rehearsal dinner was an intimate dinner of thirty on the back porch. The rains came for the wedding day and on our way into the venue my daughter asked that i look at the barn that was being reconfigured for the ceremony. I'm crying as I type this because it couldn't have been more breathtaking and enchanting! There aren't enough words, wondrous, remarkable, nothing covers the beautiful ceremony and reception that Dot and Silverbrook Farm provided to my daughter and son-in-law and 65 happy guests! read more
