The greeter directed us to the tasting bar where an equally friendly staff member helped us. They told us about the vineyard, wines and food offereings. They also let us taste a couple of wines before ordering. Plenty of seating inside and out. Inside seating is a combination of high tops, low tables, comfy chairs and couches. All the wines were well balanced with a nice level of complexity. We brought 4 bottles home! This is a must visit in the Northern VA/Louden wine area. My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings)

I especially enjoyed the sparkling rosé and absolutely fell in love with What Will the Women Drink. The winery itself is wonderfully eclectic, offering relaxed, almost hippie-inspired seating alongside more sleek, modern spaces that feel perfect for private reservations or events. The menu has great options, including flatbreads and charcuterie, making it easy to linger and enjoy the experience. Bonus points for being kid-friendly (if you must!)--a nice perk when so many wineries are strictly 21+.

TL;DR: Great view, great service, but the food isn't as spectacular…read more The view here is amazing. Pick a good weather day, and you'll enjoy it. There are the usual wine and beer flights if you're unsure, like me. You go up to the bar inside and open a tab, and start ordering. The food pick up is at the attached building right by the entrance to the bigger building. There are plenty of parking spaces, so you won't struggle with that. The pizzas and pretzels we ordered were not memorable in any way. Will I come again? I might probably try a new winery. Take this review with some salt, though. I'm not a wine person. I came to hang out and sample the place if you know what I mean.

Post thanksgiving drinks and wood fired pizza before we get back to real life…read more The place is clean and structured well. I am missing the "cozy tasting room feel". But the indoor and outdoor fireplaces are a very nice touch. I tried a flight of beers. Most were exceptional. We also got a flight of wines, which was very good. My wife really liked the Ruby. The pizzas are absolutely delicious! Good options for both carnivores and herbivores. The outdoor seating appears to be ample. The weather was cold and windy today, so we opted to sit inside. We normally prefer to sit outside. There are solo stoves out for a warm fire. The view is amazing! Very beautiful. Service is good. Not as friendly as I am used to. We walked it. Looked around and the staff kind of ignored us. It was clear we weren't sure of where we were going. They noticed us and did not say hello. But once we ordered, they seemed to loosen up. The music here is also pretty outstanding. Chill, indie vibe.

We visited the winery because they were part of the Loudoun Heights Holiday Ornament Trail * stop 5…read morefor us! They were also hosting The Charles Washington Symphony so they were VERY busy! The Symphony required reservations, which we did not have, though we were lucky to get 2 seats by a barrel table. Staff at the front counter were friendly. Wines were nice. I liked the way the flight was served! Tasting room is pretty large and there is a lot of outdoor space as well. We hope to stop back again What we tasted: 2025 Gold Medal Ornament Flight *note descriptions below are from the winery tasting notes 2023 Chardonnay: Aged sur lie for 21 months in French and American oak. The palate brings cozy notes of baked apple, vanilla, and gentle spice, all lifted by delicate minerality. Elegant and inviting. 2022 Thomas Great: This Bordeaux blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 35% Petit Verdot, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon brings classic varietals together Aged 3 years in Oak and 18 months in bottle, it's powerful yet refined. Aromas of dark plum black cherry, and violet mingle with mocha, cedar, and a touch of herb. Petit Verdot adds depth while Cabernet Franc brings bright spice. Full-bodied and balanced. it finishes with smooth tannins, dark fruit, and toasted oak 2022 Petite Verdot: Award-winning Petit Verdot was aged 24 months in barrel and finished in bottle This dark rubv-crimson Petit Verdot is ready to join the holiday party. Think aromas of cigar box, worn leather, and a hint of cozy fireplace smoke- Bold dark fruit and confident tannins lead to a long cheerful finish 2023 Piebald White: Named for the rare piebald deer that once roamed the woods behind the winery. The blend artfully combines Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, and White Petit Verdot to create an expressive wine with hints of floral spice, subtie oak, and a bright finish. The label has a hand drawn piebald deer My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings)
