I ended up there when my long-time mechanic was too busy to do that for me (in the timeframe I needed, work travel upcoming) and he said "Call Coast on Baig, I'd take my car to Bill and not think twice, they're good over there". That was all I needed to hear from another mechanic I knew and trusted over the years. Fast forward 4 years and they just did a complete front/back brake replacement and a complete clutch replacement for me on a 2011 Forester and they treated me very well. They have a couple great mechanics on staff and their knowledge will save labour cost. They are more than fair on parts and definitely shaved a bit for me when they found hidden problems...that they had warned me they wouldn't know "till it was apart". Cannot speak highly enough of the front end staff and how easy they were to deal with, up front about costs, process, timeline, etc. Bill and Ed and the gang are great over their. As far as the sales manager who was really the one making the deal that is another story as he was very dishonest to me. When I asked how much interest there would be on short term financing he said 20 or 30 dollars and when I questioned him again and asked him are you sure it won't be 300 or 400 he said no no.Well after I signed everything and got home and started to number crunch it didn't seem right so when I went back in a couple days to see finance she told me it would be over $300. I am still not sure to this day exactly what it will be. That is my own fault for signing without having all the numbers and trusting a sales manager which is something nobody should do no matter how smooth or charming he may seem. After all it all about making the deal happen right now and nothing more to them!

One thing though, if you bring your car there to get the tires switched (from winter to summer tires, or the other way around), be very sure to tell them you don't want any extras. Last time I got my tires changed there, there were about 100$ of charges just related to change the tires. Needless to say, I was a little ticked off.

Twice! not once but twice I was screwed over by Eastern Spring here in Moncton. The first instance…read moreoccurred when my 1999 VW Jetta was leaking coolant, the rep at Eastern Spring had his mechanic evaluate the trouble and concluded that it was a blown head gasket and mentioned that they would repair it for $1400! Turns out the problem was actually very minor, I discovered a small rubber tube that was causing the leak and replaced it for $10, a far cry from the $1400 that these thieves wanted. My VW hasn't leaked a drop since and it's been over a year now. The 2nd and most recent screw job happened earlier today when I took my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee to be inspected by Eastern Spring, after a long wait time they came back with a myriad of problems including brake shoes, tie rod ends, ball joints just to name a few. I felt like this was classic gouging at it's best so I did what anyone with common sense would do and took it to a mechanic that I trusted for a 2nd opinion and sure enough it passed without fault, after passing I showed the other mechanic the list of problems Eastern Spring had issued me and he laughed. If you're considering Eastern Spring DON'T! Go else where! Their business is clearly failing and they are trying their hardest to gouge anyone that comes through the door for a quick buck.

First of all when I called to inquire about price and such I was directed by staff to please stop in to see Derek so he could see the car and give the best advise possible about level of tint, exact pricing etc. When I arrived at the shop I found Derek on his hands and knees detailing a car, this guy cares so much about how well the job gets done, he actually gets his hands dirty and chips in himself. He told me he'd be doing my job himself and I immediately felt completely at ease. I was over the moon pleased with the job he did on the tint and it is clear to me that this guy cares about what people think of the job he does. One last note, I dropped off my car at 7:15am and Derek was already there, ready to tackle the day and I picked up my car well after 6pm and not only was Derek still there but so was his staff! They pride themselves on getting the job done right not on time for quitting time. Truly professionals! Thank you to My Days Off!
