We shouldn't have been surprised that the food also took forever to come out...but we were.. because again we always had good experiences.. Cheese curds came out crispy and heavenly so no complaints there! But my buddha my poor salad. The greens were overdressed and there was not a chickpea or artichoke in sight! Hello chickpea artichoke where are you?! I really didn't want to complain but it was an expensive salad so we ended up letting our server know just so she can inform the chef that some key ingredients were missing just as an FYI. Well our server later informs us that the chef didn't forget the ingredients, they just ran out but didn't bother telling anyone????? I don't know bro but that's just messed up. Especially when you still end up serving a tiny portion with missing ingredients. I know, it's not prime season, but we checked the hours and it said it was open so we headed this way. When we got here it was essentially abandoned. We were able to walk in and the pool looked about half the size of what's advertised online. We eventually found an employee who told us they had decided to close since it was so slow. The owner ran over to our car to recommend we try Blackwater Jacks which he thought was still open. That was super kind of him and to his credit he was very helpful and apologetic that they were closed. Overall, I do think I'd return if it was peak season and I was in the Ozarks. The chicken Rangoons weren't bad but were dense and I feel like they needed something fresh like some green onions inside or something. The nachos slapped. Seriously the best thing we ordered. The fish and chips were so...sooo bland. No salt to be seen anywhere. My son said the burger wasn't bad. But the real villain of this story...the French Dip. Originally my grandma ordered the French dip. But the bread was too hard for her so her and I switched plates. Thank God. Because I haven't had food poisoning that bad in a really long time and I'm so glad it was me who got it and not my 80-year-old grandmother. It was really...really bad for a few days after.
