Two people got shrimp and grits. One had 4 pieces of shrimp, the other had 5. Everyone said the shrimp was good. My friend who received the burger never received her fries. Our waitress came around once and asked if we wanted more drinks, we ordered them, she never came back with them. We had to ask the cook for waters which came just before we paid. The entire experience was laughable. Needless to say we won't be back and I'm guessing the 30 people who walked out won't be either. We really wanted this to be good because the building is great, but this place won't make it through the summer.

It's a very small place with a classic "U" shaped bar. Like most dives the seating revolves around bar seating, with a few tables in the back for a more social setting. The good- drinks are extremely reasonable, and the food was great for bar food. Nice outside seating, plenty of parking. The Bad- Smoking, I know these small towns at till allow it, but yuck especially in a small place. From the moment I walked in, the service was indifferent at best. It took nearly twenty minutes just to get someone's attention, and when a server finally approached, they seemed annoyed that I had questions about the menu. Throughout the meal, dishes were dropped off without a word, drinks went unrefilled, and no one checked in to see if anything was okay. Unfortunately, the food itself was even worse. My entrée arrived lukewarm and clearly undercooked in the center, despite being a dish that should have been served piping hot. Another plate at the table was missing key ingredients entirely, as if it had been rushed out without any care. The flavors were flat, the textures were off, and nothing tasted fresh. The real issue, though, came later. Within a few hours of eating there, I became noticeably sick--nausea, stomach cramps, the whole ordeal. I can't say with certainty what caused it, but given the state of the food, it wasn't surprising. What truly alarmed me were the visible health hazards. I noticed a sticky spill on the floor that no one bothered to clean up, even as staff stepped around it repeatedly. I unfortunately had to use the restroom while we were there. The restroom sink had grime built up around the faucet, a dead cockroach near the commode, and there was no soap or toilet paper. As we were leaving, I could see uncovered food containers sitting out behind the bar. These are the kinds of things that make you question what's happening behind the scenes. Overall, this was one of the most unsettling dining experiences I've had in a long time. Between the poor service, improperly prepared food, and concerning cleanliness issues. Now here's the kicker...there was not a manager available (shocker), so I asked for the owner's contact information so I could report the health violations and food safety issues. The waitress laughed and said "We've told him many times - he doesn't care and he doesn't allow us to give out his number. He wouldn't answer the phone and absolutely would not call you back." So, if you'd like to eat at an establishment where the owner clearly doesn't care about you or what you think, cleanliness, or food safety, you've found the perfect place.
