Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She checked on us throughout the meal and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the Caesar chicken salad and asked for extra dressing on the side. I ended up not using the extra because the salad already had a lot of dressing so much that it made the lettuce a little soggy. I'm definitely someone who loves extra sauce and dressing, but even I was surprised by how much was on it. I also tried a few fries from my fiancé's plate, and they were really good.

We got there right when they opened since we were a group of 8 and wanted to make sure we could grab a spot. The pool fills up quickly, but the water stays surprisingly cool and refreshing even with a crowd definitely not like a warm bath. The drinks were also very reasonably priced, which was a nice surprise since everything at the lake seems more expensive than KC. We also got to meet DJ Mike, who noticed my Boulevard hat and started a fun conversation about being from Lee's Summit. He was a blast great music, fun games, and kept the energy going. My fiancé and I also shared a poke bowl, it's a lot smaller of a portion than if you were to go the ramen/poke bowl place. For a steep price of $24 but it was good to try. It's the perfect lake spot for a fun atmosphere, and we'll definitely be back!

When we first arrived, I ordered a few rounds of piña colada drinks. They were delicious. However, when my husband went up to order another round, the bartender said that there wasn't any alcohol on the current batch, so she added a floater on top. I was never told that. So, did I pay for multiple rounds of non alcoholic drinks? Feels like something I should've been told. As far as food, the crab legs, tacos, and shrimp were awesome. However, the Mac and cheese is a definite no. It tasted sour like the cheese went bad or curdled. The sandwiches are okay, but hit or miss. One of ours had flavor, the other tasted like bread. Hard to say if we'll be back!

Sadly, it was by far the most disappointing dining experience of all the times we have visited. At this most recent visit, we noticed there were not that many customers sitting inside or outside. Even though it was super hot and humid, we still opted for an outdoor table to get the full lakeside experience! Instant regret because we were all dying from dehydration and getting just water took painfully long. Our server was apologetic though so no big deal. Now onto the food. We always start with an order of cheese curds because how can you not! For my entree, I was really craving a salad. I was debating between the House salad and the Greek salad but ultimately decided on the Greek solely because the latter came with chickpeas and artichokes! Yum! We shouldn't have been surprised that the food also took forever to come out...but we were.. because again we always had good experiences.. Cheese curds came out crispy and heavenly so no complaints there! But my buddha my poor salad. The greens were overdressed and there was not a chickpea or artichoke in sight! Hello chickpea artichoke where are you?! I really didn't want to complain but it was an expensive salad so we ended up letting our server know just so she can inform the chef that some key ingredients were missing just as an FYI. Well our server later informs us that the chef didn't forget the ingredients, they just ran out but didn't bother telling anyone????? I don't know bro but that's just messed up. Especially when you still end up serving a tiny portion with missing ingredients. We paid for the check and still left a good tip because it wasn't our servers fault but what a pretty disappointing experience all around. -Sailor out
