The venue itself is really cool. They have a couple whole bars, a swim up bar, its own boat dock if you need one, and live music. Food is iffy. Some are super good like the burgers and meatball sandwiches. Some are just ok. The service could improve. read more

I feel pretty torn about this review mostly because we had just such a lackluster experience, but I feel like it could have been just so much better. So, we stopped in here after looking on Yelp for a fun pool bar to hang out at on a lazy Sunday afternoon in September. I know, it's not prime season, but we checked the hours and it said it was open so we headed this way. When we got here it was essentially abandoned. We were able to walk in and the pool looked about half the size of what's advertised online. We eventually found an employee who told us they had decided to close since it was so slow. The owner ran over to our car to recommend we try Blackwater Jacks which he thought was still open. That was super kind of him and to his credit he was very helpful and apologetic that they were closed. Overall, I do think I'd return if it was peak season and I was in the Ozarks. It did look like a fun pool bar, even though it appeared a lot smaller than we were planning on. read more

VERY RUDE STAFF. During an event the people running it were obviously unorganized and overwhelmed. They cussed at my friend when she asked if they knew where her sunglasses were. They also let the announcer/ref play in the beer pong tournament and they won the $2,000 cash prize! It is one thing if their employees play off the clock but another to let them run the game, make the rules, and win the prize money!! Very unprofessional and unorganized business. read more

I love the pool at Lazys but really wish that the employees would clean up things. For example, they have this beautiful swimming pool but multiple times lately we have counted over 20 cans and bottles collected over the horizon pool's edge. They also need to get rid of the broken down janky lounge chairs - it's a wonderful venue but the workers should keep the place up! read more

We ordered via DoorDash to our hotel. We we tried this crust Cajun Bayou pizza. It was so good! It had alligator, crawfish, and andouille sausage. The sauce on the pizza was so great! We haven't had one like this before and it was yummy! We, also, ordered their cookie pie desert. Also, amazing! read more

I can really dig this swim up pool bar lounge area. Great view. Got to see power boat races. It was fun crowd. Multiple bars to get quick service. Cabanas to get some shade. Corn hole to kill some time. Pool was clean infinity edge with nice rock fountain. Majority of pool is waist deep with one section shoulder depth. read more

I will give this 2 stars only because it can be a fun destination during the daytime. I absolutely would not recommend going to a concert here. I attended a concert this past weekend which was extremely over sold for such a small place. You could not move around and get away from anyone due to the place being extremely packed. The service was good at the bars however there were entirely too many people in such a small area. read more

This was the only bar we went to the entire time while at the Ozarks; we went once. My friend and I asked a local where a good place to go to enjoy a cocktail where we could boat or jet ski up to. Driving up it looked like a little oasis in a sea of, ummm, residential beach front homes and well, the lake itself. As with almost everything we encountered in and around the Ozarks it was completely contrived and hokey but not in a ridiculous/can't take it sort of way....and hey, we're on holiday so u just roll w it. The place was pretty dead but we weren't there to 'see and be seen'. One 16oz Landshark at under 4$, spectacular sunset while sat under faux palm trees...yea, we're in Missouri. Oddly enuf it worked. This business is separate from it's brother Shady Gators, so I opened a new Yelp page for it. I went to this place for the first time this past weekend and loved it. A sizeable pool with a swim-up bar, with patio tables to sit at on the other side. They have comfortable lounge chairs alongside the pool as well as private cabanas you can chill out at if you purchase bottle service. Little rock walls along the pool have soothing waterfalls. Beautiful view of the lake. When we were there, the crowd was very laid back and not at all obnoxious, though we were there during the day; maybe this changes at night. No cover charge, the place was very clean (including the pool - I was wary of this at first), and the drinks were tasty. If you like pina coladas...! My one star deduction is that I wish they were a little stronger. They had lots of promotional gals going around with free shots, beads, and gifts - I walked away with a free Landshark beach ball. I know there is a lot of complaint from the residents here about this place and controversy over whether this zone is supposed to be purely residential. I just have to say that I really hope they don't close it down (but it's been a two year battle and nothing yet) because it was a ton of fun! I will be back! read more

My family and I were drawn here by view from the water. The Mexican tiki look with cool white couches looks great from a distance. Unfortunately what we found was a disgustingly dirty and poorly maintained setting. I've been in MUCH cleaner bars IN Mexico. We all went home and showered from the grimy gunk all over us from the white 'couches'. Bathrooms were out of order with portapotties as the alternate. Never ever ever going back. read more

Spectacular view of the lake, this is a swim-up bar with cabanna like feel. Fake palm trees and great lounging areas. Sounds hokey but really enjoy this place. We had superb service from Malissa (yes, with an A), she was johnny-on-the-spot with checking our drinks and gave 6 middle aged ladies fantastic service. A staff member graciously took our picture. A must do if you like chilling out poolside drinking cocktails watching the boaters and jet skiiers. There's a sandy area for beach volleyball. A minus...and a huge minus, is that people brought their children there. This is a BAR. It's free to go, they make their $$ on drinks. Shady Gators need to put up a sign and enforce that no one under 21 allowed in the swim-up bar. The bathroom, which didn't seem to be used much (yikes) could of been nicer/cleaner...felt like a public pool bathroom. Can't wait to go back, though, and experience this place at night which I heard is really a party kind of place to be. read more

Lazy Gators is an excellent way to spend an afternoon at the Lake. It has a great pool with a swim up bar, there is all tiki decor around, and sand volleyball. We went on a cold and rainy day and it was still busy, so I can only imagine how busy it would be if you go on a 85 degree Saturday. The staff is friendly and fun. My only complaint was their beer knowledge/selection was very limited. read more

My friends and I booked a cabana here, this past Saturday, for one of our friends bachelorette party weekend. It was probably the smartest decision we made. Since the time we walked into the Lazy Gator to the time we left (4 hours later) we were treated extremely well. We had one waitress, who was extremely attentive and super nice but all of the girls did really well working together to make sure we were well taken care of. Which I LOVED! The prices for food and drinks were reasonably priced as well. Another one of my favorites was the signs in the women's restroom-- which was clean. If you go there, just read it, as it makes so much sense! All in all, I rank this place a 10 out of 5 because of the customer service. And I HIGHLY recommend booking a cabana! read more
