Macamochi has been blowing up my Instagram feed for months, so I finally gave in to the hype and I'm so glad I did because they did not disappoint. Located in Miami's Narang Plaza, just a few doors down from another foodie favorite, Kind Asian Street Food, this pink themed dessert shop specializes in handcrafted macarons, mochi, and those viral crunchy fruit treats. Macamochi is owned by husband-and-wife team Irina and Dzmitry. Pastry chef Irina's inspiration was to create macarons that weren't overwhelmingly sweet. She used organic, natural, non-GMO ingredients to develop her recipes that are balanced in flavor while remaining completely gluten-free. Every macaron and mochi is handcrafted with passion and love. Since opening their business in 2023, their desserts have become a social media sensation. Although they have sold their desserts in some stands around South Florida. this is their first brick and mortar location and it remains packed. I visited in the late afternoon, but if you want the full experience, I'd recommend arriving in the morning. Their most popular items sell out quickly but they still had plenty of the famous crunchy fruit desserts that had been flooding my Instagram feed. These beautifully presented desserts feature a crisp white or milk chocolate shell surrounding a smooth, fruity filling and cream. The tang of the fruit is the perfect contrast to the sweet of the filling. They come in ten flavors, mango, passion fruit, tropical (coconut, mango, and passion fruit), cherry, coffee bean, lemon, raspberry, strawberry, banana, and blueberry. They cost $12 each or try all ten flavors for $100. I chose the Tropical, which had a creamy coconut and passion fruit filling topped with fresh mango and a sprinkle of toasted coconut. It was the perfect summer time dessert, crunchy on the outside with a silky, tropical center that wasn't overly sweet. Of course, I couldn't stop at one dessert. I also picked up one of their strawberry milkshake mochi, which was bursting with fresh strawberry flavor. Mochi is a traditional Japanese rice cake made from short-grain sticky rice called mochigome. The cooked rice is pounded into a soft, stretchy, and chewy dough. I developed a taste for it during festivals at the Morikami and their rendition is made even tastier with fun flavors like Unicorn and Snickers. Beyond the viral fruit desserts, they also offer Dubai chocolate bars, chocolate Labubu treats, macarons, mochi, specialty coffees, and lattes made with coffee ice cubes so your drink never gets watered down. Everything thing is so special here from the personable customer service down to even the packaging. My treats were beautifully boxed and packed into a pretty reusable insulated bag to keep the desserts cold on the ride home. The quality of the ingredients, beautiful presentation, and creative flavors make it easy to see why this little bakery has become one of South Florida's hottest dessert destinations. read more

Macamochi is home to the trending crunchy fruit pastries in Pompano Beach! These crunchy fruit pastries have been all over my feed and with the summer heat, I thought this would be the best sweet treat during the season. Located in the corner spot of a plaza, there's a good amount of parking and a cute lil storefront. The staff was super friendly and sweet and it looked like a lot of customers here were regulars. We ended up getting the passionfruit, raspberry, coconut, and mango. Each were so cute and delicious! In case you were craving other things, they also had coffee, matcha, and even boba lemonade! Had the pleasure to speak to the owner today and he made me a delicious cloud foam Matcha and informed us on what to expect with what is inside each dessert we were interested in trying. The flavor of the sweet treats was perfect, crunchy exterior, smooth interior with unique flavors and the presentation was amazing too, they even go as far as providing an insulated bag so your order doesn't melt on the wat home. Macamochi popped up on my Instagram as an ad, and it instantly caught my attention (apparently my kids noticed it too ). They saw the crispy cat-shaped desserts filled with cream and jam and begged me to take them there. Our first attempt failed because we arrived too late and learned they close at 4 PM on weekends, so we came back the next day after the playground. Parking was definitely challenging -- the plaza is small and very busy. I also noticed some questionable activity around the entrance, which made me a little uneasy since I was with my kids. That said, the café itself is absolutely beautiful. It's decorated in a charming French-inspired style with a gorgeous rose wall, soft vinyl music playing, and a very clean, cozy atmosphere. The owners are a lovely Russian-speaking husband-and-wife team, and the service was warm and welcoming. The desserts were stunning and delicious. We tried blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, mango, passionfruit, and coconut -- every single one was amazing. The packaging deserves special mention: elegant, high-quality, and very photogenic, placed inside a branded insulated bag to keep everything fresh and cool. The kids were even given little branded flags, which they loved. There are also adorable photo spots outside, including a vintage French-style bicycle and a decorative shopping cart -- such a cute touch. The café itself is absolutely 5 stars. My only concern is the location. Unfortunately, after leaving, I had an unsettling interaction in the parking lot with someone acting unpredictably, which honestly made me feel unsafe while buckling my kids into the car. This is such a wonderful business and the product is exceptional -- I truly hope one day they expand or move to a safer location, because they deserve it. read more

Cute little spot, had to stop in with my kids to try these beautiful creations I've been seeing on social. I got the raspberry, daughter got the strawberry, and son got the mango. They run around $12 each depending on the item. It was so yummy! Wish they were closer....actually I'm glad they're not, otherwise we'd be in here every day! The shop is small, and it gets busy - not much space inside! Service was quick, but we were here on a Friday at 11...not sure what this place is like on a weekend. My husband ordered a special box of chocolate-covered strawberries for Valentine's Day with a Dubai chocolate heart-shaped bar. He said the Pompano location was easy to find and very cute. The person behind the counter was friendly and packaged the treats with care. Along with the strawberries, he picked up a box of assorted macarons. Raspberry, Oreo, Ferrero Rocher, and Salted Caramel. The macarons were delicious! The texture was spot on. My favorite was the Ferrero Rocher. It was luxuriously decadent and had a great crunch. The chocolate-covered strawberries were also delicious, and that Dubai chocolate bar was huge! That pistachio crunchy filling is oh so good. If macarons aren't your thing, they also make chocolate bars, mochi, and Dubai chocolate strawberry cups. Everything here is made with love. Incredible cute little spot in Pompano! My daughter was obsessed with these viral cakes so we were so excited to see this place had them on vacation. We ordered the tropical, coffee bean & passionfruit cakes, along with the rainbow unicorn mochi, mango & strawberry boba lemonade & and an iced latter with strawberry syrup for me. The cake prices range from $8-12 each, and they have deals on the macarons & mochi if you get more than 1. OMG! If you haven't tried these crunchy desserts you need to Run!!! This shop is ran by a wife and husband. They make there deserts from scratch every night to sell first thing. Each dessert is anywhere from $8-14. I highly recommend the passion fruit it's my favorite! The husband usually runs the cashier and he's very nice. The ambiance reminds me of cape cod. The line is usually very long so expect to wait 5-10 min. read more

The matcha latte claims to be ceremonial grade but it came tasting like watered down milk and had a grey hue to it. I also tried the espresso latte and it tasted like sour spoiled milk. I feel like this place is dangerous to order from, the store itself is questionable and I'm not sure they're following health standards.
