At the time I didn't know it was a chain , but I found out later. Sometimes that's not a bad thing though. I found the restaurant was decorated nicely and clean. My waitress was very nice and informative since I told her it was my first time here. I got a Half Rack of Ribs with Wet Sauce on one side and Dry Rub on the other side. Bbq Baked Beans , Cheese Grits , Rolls , and Sweet Tea. The Ribs were tender and good. They have 2 Bbq Sauces on the table and I asked the waitress if they have any others and she said yes , a Honey and a Smoky Spicy one. I asked for the Smoky Spicy to try. I liked the Dry Rub side better and with the Smoky Spicy Bbq Sauce on the Dry Rub was the Winner. The Wet Side was Original Bbq Sauce and it was kind of plain to me. They also had this on the table with a Hot Bbq Sauce that was more or less like Texas Pete / Louisiana Hot Sauce. The Bbq Baked Beans were really good. The waitress said they are the best in town and I would probably agree even though I haven't been to any other bbq place in the Memphis area. The Cheese Grits were okay. They used like a White Cheese I think. I love Grits , but they could've did a little better on these. The Rolls were like yeast rolls like Texas Roadhouse , but better , melt in your mouth and you don't even need to put any butter on them. Sweet Tea was just right , not too sweet or not enough sugar. They had a display of their desserts , which looked good , but I was too full to have any. There is also a Bar if you want to have a drink and some appetizers. A wall with lots of pictures of Celebrities who have dined at Corky's is on display. Elvis and Little Richard are sitting at a table above the dining area watching to see how you like the Bbq. They sell shirts and sauces if you want to take some home. The menu is pretty large , so lots of choices for you to try. There is also an upstairs area for dining. If I lived here or was visiting for a while I would come back and try more. I usually prefer a more Mom and Pop place , but this was very good , much better than the Bbq I've had in Oklahoma.

Today I ordered the lunch special: pulled pork barbecue with fresh homemade coleslaw, crispy French fries, and a Dr Pepper. Everything was delicious, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. I had the pleasure of meeting Kenzie, who provided excellent service, and the manager, Cory, who was friendly and welcoming. I learned that Kenzie makes all of the restaurant's homemade fried pies. Cory recommended the chocolate fried pie as one of his favorites, and after trying it, I completely agree--it was absolutely outstanding and the perfect way to finish the meal. The restaurant itself is older and a bit dated, but it is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, hometown atmosphere. During my visit, there were plenty of locals dining in, and I noticed a steady stream of customers picking up to-go orders, which says a lot about the quality of the food. I have high standards when it comes to food, customer service, and cleanliness, and I'm happy to say this restaurant met every one of them. They have white boards with a list of daily specials and a large chalkboard in the back that shows their beer list and desserts. After talking to the waitress, I decided on the Brisket Plate which came with Baked Beans and Cole Slaw. The food was delicious and the beer is cold. I think I was the only non-local in the whole place. I found a great restaurant off the beaten path. Some of the best brisket I have had in awhile.
