Mimi's is conveniently located in downtown Ithaca, the staff is friendly & helpful, prices are reasonable and there's always something fun and funky to marvel at even if you don't take it home with you. There are a few prime meter-free spots, but bring some change with you in case you need to park on the street. The staff has tape measures handy, but if you're looking to fill a space at home remember to give it a quick measure to ease your shopping. Mimi's, at times, can be jam-packed full of good things and navigation can be tricky if you have mobility issues. Well worth checking out again and again in person and online!

You can buy the paint/stain there and complete the job yourself, or have them do it for you. Last time I was there I didn't find exactly what I was hoping for - so I didn't bother to ask about pricing... but the staff asked a couple times if I needed help. So obviously they're eager to assist. Besides the variety and helpful staff - the product is well made. I have two of Marty's pieces in my own apartment, both purchased by my parents 20 years ago, and they've held up beautifully.

The king bed we purchased is a "gold bond sacro support mattress Buckingham" - it is, without question, the best mattress we've had. It's the perfect balance between support and plush. It's cushion on the top - providing a great feel of comfort and relief, but just beneath it's firm but giving. Its perfect if you're a side sleeper.
