Amazing services from all aspects. I thank you for allowing individuals with special needs to be given the opportunity to come into your business and gain a work experience. I rarely hear of businesses throughout the Finger Lakes that allow such an amazing opportunity. My family and I would give Ashley furniture business 100%. read more

My wife received an Ashley Homestore gift card as a gift, so we went here today to find something small to use it on. We spent about an hour browsing the store, and the young lady who assisted us was extremely pleasant and helpful. After finding an item I was interested in, I asked if the gift card was valid at this store. The associate was very nice about it and informed us that generally gift cards for Ashley are only valid at the store where purchased. (Have you ever heard of a gift card for a chain store being valid at only 1 location?) she called over the manager and asked him to double check and see if our money was good there. The manager was downright rude about the issue. My wife was very upset by his attitude and as we left the store after deciding not to make a purchase, he actually sneered at us! I can't recall ever having experienced such poor customer service before. If you're looking for some affordable mid-range furniture, this is an ok spot. If you're looking for polite customer service and to be treated with respect, shop elsewhere. read more

My first experience with Ashley Homestore in Geneva was poor. I purchased a bedroom set which was delivered in three weeks as promised. The delivery crew was rude and in a rush which resulted in a damaged large dresser. They called the store and I was offered a new dresser which was delivered 3 weeks later. Upon delivery, I recognized the dresser was damaged, appeared dirty and had mouse droppings in the bottom. It was apparent they sent me the display model which I viewed in the store. I called the store and they offered me a $100.00 refund or a new dresser. I chose the new dresser which took another three weeks to receive. Nine weeks later I finally got what I paid for. Three years later I decided to give Ashley Homestore a view, (I was going to look at merchandise and buy it on the internet). However, after speaking to the sale rep/owner, I was assured a matching price and good service if I would buy directly from the store, ("We will take care of you".) I decided to give them another chance. BIG MISTAKE!! The owner damaged the dresser I bought while wheeling it out of the store. At this point I said, Just take $10 or $20 off and I'll take it as is. Response: "Nope, we'll get you new one it should be in about 2-weeks. Four weeks later, I got a call that my dresser is in, (yeah, i think). I drove to the store Tuesday and asked if my dresser was in. The gentleman looked on the computer and said, "nope, it's not in but It may be in Thursday on the next truck. I'll call you tomorrow and confirm. The guy never called but I got another message the next day from another sales rep stating that my dresser was in and please arrange for pickup. I arrived the same day to pickup and was told the dresser available two weeks earlier. The same owner helped me load it in my truck. I haven't unloaded it yet but I've decided that if it is damaged or the same one they damaged before, I will just keep it because I have already decided "I will never return to that store". I waited about four to six weeks and made four trips to the store to pick up the dresser and dinette set. Was declined a request for a refund for the dresser when I was told it had not arrived as promised. And was not offered any accommodation for all the inconvenience endured. The question is. Why would anyone buy from Ashley Homestore in this competitive market which offers free shipping returns, 2-day no cost delivery and warm gracious service. My prediction: Ashley Homestore Geneva - OUT OF BUSINESS LESS THAN 2-YEARS. read more

I have to agree with Erinne C., if I could give it no stars I would. My parent's who are both 88 years old purchased 2 recliners from Chris, but once they were delivered they discovered the backs on both chairs were coming apart, and that they were very uncomfortable. My mother called Chris to ask if she could return the chairs; he got really snippy with her and told her that he would have to charge a $300 restocking fee and that he would have the service department call her back that day by noon. That was 3 days ago and she hasn't heard a word. Customer service is one of the most important parts about dealing with a business, and you can bet that my family and friends will never do business with Ashley in Geneva again. read more

My experience with Geneva Ashley is mixed. When my boyfriend and I walked in, Chris was very friendly and engaging. He was very helpful in providing his opinions and showing us sofa examples online. The main reason we purchased over $1000 worth of furniture is because Chris confirmed that he had all my furniture items in stock and would be delivered in 6-10 days to our home. On the 10th day when we had not received our furniture, I called Chris and left messages for him to contact me. I waited a total of 4 weeks before finally calling it quits because I had still not received my furniture and Chris still did not call me back! I went into the store and requested a refund. I am done shopping with Ashley in Geneva. read more

Paid 2k for couch and loveseat w/ recliners . Got delivered Friday . Upon checking over my wife noticed one recliner didn't work while delivery team still there . They shrugged it off and gave a cust service number to call. Wouldn't even look at it . She received flack as to how long we owned it before it broke . It was literally in the house 5 mins!!! Said it would take a repair tech 4-6 weeks to come fix it . I got home from work and saw that they had pulled the recliner cable free from bracket prob snagging it on something. I repaired it myself in 2 mins. This was my first and definite last purchase from this company. Go else where for good cust service read more

Purchased a matters box spring and headboard here box spring came broke didn't notice till we moved some of the employees are great the owner not so much he be littled us and wanted to treat us like we were doing something wrong when the real problem was his broken furniture and the way he treats his customers. Do not go here I would never go back and wish I never spent money here before the place is awful. Seems like a common thing for people to get furniture from here and it be broken or not delivered on time. Listen to my warning I wish I would have listened to the others. DO NOT GO THERE read more

Was going to shop there for my livingroom set but after reading how poor they treat their customers I will be spending my money elsewhere.

If I could give no stars I would. Went to Ashley about 6 months ago to purchase a new mattress, box spring, and headboard. They said everything would be delivered by Wednesday. That Tuesday I called and asked if we could pick it up ourselves and they said we could so when we got there they loaded THE WRONG item. There was such a lack of communication with them that they didn't even have our bed down there for us to pick up. It wasn't until this past Saturday (April) that we moved and noticed something wasn't right with the box spring. Upon removing the dust cover, we noticed the flimsy 2 x 4 was broken right in half. It was now 6 months later so we decided to go in and see what could be done. Doug, the one we originally bought it from, did his best to try and help us, but told us since it's been 6 months there wasn't much he could do. Then Jim (i'm assuming is their GM) tried to help. He came behind the counter and immediately started ridiculing me for how I was standing. Told me this was a friendly place and my arms crossed and hand on hip was "threatening" to him. He then proceeded to tell my boyfriend and I that he wasn't calling us criminals but it sure felt like he was. He then refused to help us because we weren't being "nice enough". I was extremely frustrated because we spent over $1,500 on this new bed and they were refusing to help us again because my boyfriend wasn't smiling because he was not amused with how rudely and disrespectfully Jim was talking to us. He was going to give us a new box spring for free but the catch was that we had to fake smile and act happy even though we were extremely frustrated. So basically what happened was...he tried to BRIBE us to be nice to get something for free. He told my boyfriend he knew his dad and tried to hold that against him to be nice. He then gave us his phone number and told us to call back at 1pm when we were ready to be nice because he didn't like how the situation was going. All we wanted was some help, which Doug was offering, but then Jim came in and made us feel like we were the problem and would not resolve our issue for us. They don't stand behind their products and obviously for a good reason. Not to mention, as we were leaving a FedEx worker walking in with a box for the store dropped it right on the sidewalk. So if you want broken furniture Ashley is the place to go to. I work in customer service, I know what dealing with difficult customers is like, but never ONCE have I EVER bribed a customer. We are extremely upset with the treatment we received from Jim Colizzi and we will not be bringing our business back to Geneva Ashley Furniture. Unless you want to be treated like a child, 10/10 definitely would NEVER recommend. read more
