My experience purchasing a Landrover was smooth and I initially felt confident moving forward. This was until I had a single concern, where which finance and management did not returned 7 messages and 12 emails. Ironically, the concern was mild and have since reached out to Landover to remediate. But the "typical" response you are warned about where a dealership drops all contact after a sale has been my experience. As a result I would never recommend Red Deer Honda and will willing drive to Edmonton or Calgary for actual service.

When I brought the truck home and tried to put the prep kit in we found out underneath the brand new husky bed liner that was on the box when purchased, the prep kit for RV was smashed to pieces. There was a big dent in the box also where someone had not locked in there fifth wheel and it left a huge imprint. I Called the dealer back they stated that they had no idea and tried to basically say we did it but they would look into it. Well they found out the seller before us did it and the salesman that took the truck in didn't bother to tell anyone. So when I went back to the dealer to try to get some money taken off and the box fixed somehow. They just ground down the prep kit and didn't bother to take any money off. So I took the vehicle into an auto body dealership and they quoted me 7000.00 worth of damage to the truck box, damage that had been hidden under that heavy duty mat I did have further conversation via text message with the Sales Manager and he offered no real resolution just going round and round in circles. No offer of any amount of money off of the purchase was given. I emailed upper management and not even a response to my email. They could not care less. Buyer Beware. My recommendation would be, do not buy from Wheaton Chevrolet Red Deer.

I said I have had it for 7 years already...you, Cam Clark Ford in Red Deer Alberta will be replacing for free and I will not be charged for it. They agreed...whoopie. No apology for the incident or the shit service. She did ask what she could could do to make it better, I said I just want my vehicle fixed so I can drive my vehicle to work. So she arranged for me to have a loaner, however at the 30 min before I was to drop my vehicle off at the dealership I get a call from Enterprise to confirm if I still need the loaner and that I will have use my credit card to put a 300 dollar deposit for it and that I would be responsible for the gas that I use with the loaner. Excuse me but you have a whole fucking parking lot with vehicles that I could have used while you fixed my vehicle the second time and lord knows hopefully correctly this time. The mechanic they had tried to tell me that my van needed brakes, tires, suspension, and squeaky back doors. What a joke, I had brakes redone and checked, all good, doors don't squeak, suspension is just because I didn't put wd40 on the rubber seals on the doors. Tire are winter tires, because I don't drive it very much, and that is also why the brakes makes a noise, they told me that when I had it checked. They use a material now that if you don't use your vehicle much they make that noise. What they offered me was totally unreasonable, because they thought they were dealing with someone they could pull the wool over their eyes. The buying process was comfortable and the walk-through was thorough. Score! So we brought the unit home and carefully began packing it with our family camping supplies. However, in an odd twist of fate, a local house fire turned our new purchase into an overcooked campfire marshmallow the week before we were going to take it on its maiden voyage. I mean, are you kidding me? Anyhow, thus began the hunt once again because the model we chose was a cancelled special order. We looked other places but it was Vellner that found us exactly what we were looking for once again. They helped us through the insurance process, which was a hassle (but dealing with insurance is painful no matter what it is) and came home with another sweet fifth wheel that happens to still be perfectly intact, I might add. A big thanks to Vellner and Travis for the exceptional customer service and helping us out under unfortunate circumstances, making us very happy customers. Yerlp 30 Day Challenge: 6/30

So I purchased a new RV battery among few other items for our 5th Wheel. Vellner took all my personal info for the purchases but now say I'm not in their system & they have no record of my purchases. That battery was only used (2) times and then we put 5th Wheel into storage, removing the battery & storing it in our heated garage. However, come spring it had leaked battery acid all over & we tried to charge it -- but it is no longer is working. Vellner is the only company that sells Traveler's Choice batteries, so they know it was purchased from them. (RV Care states Arkaan does but they have told me they only sell Interstate batteries). There is no company in Edmonton that sells that brand & Vellner won't replace it. I had called right away & was told to contact one of their sister compAmie's inn Edmonton (but they don't have any sister companies here). Today I was told that person probably isn't there anymore but to drive back to Red Deer so they can test the battery. Again, they likely won't warranty it anyway. It will cost more to drive back & forth than the cost of a new battery. I will never buy another product from this company again ! Ridiculous.......
