I am sure some folks have had a good experience however I am not one of them. I really wanted to…read moreget another Silverado as I loved my old one. So I stopped in and was immediately lept upon by a younger fellow eager to get my business. I am not against a go getter but I against facilitating the old stereotypical pushy salesperson who changes things as they please by the moment. There is never one left etc and as a Sales manger I would be appalled if any of my employees approached sales like this. I hope that they can iron out what seems to be some wrinkles lately on the service and sales side mind you I can't comment on the auto service part. in the end I left not to return and that is not to say I could not give another chance but I would sooner head to my Edmonton dealer whom I purchased from previously or to the place I eventually bought from after having a good experience. Good inventory but do your diligence and shop around a bit as most of the dealers are linked in some capacity and can find what you truly want. I do wish them luck in ironing out the wrinkles!

I bought an 85,000 dollar truck from this dealership. It looked to be in mint condition. I bought…read morethe truck specifically to pull a fifth wheel RV. When I brought the truck home and tried to put the prep kit in we found out underneath the brand new husky bed liner that was on the box when purchased, the prep kit for RV was smashed to pieces. There was a big dent in the box also where someone had not locked in there fifth wheel and it left a huge imprint. I Called the dealer back they stated that they had no idea and tried to basically say we did it but they would look into it. Well they found out the seller before us did it and the salesman that took the truck in didn't bother to tell anyone. So when I went back to the dealer to try to get some money taken off and the box fixed somehow. They just ground down the prep kit and didn't bother to take any money off. So I took the vehicle into an auto body dealership and they quoted me 7000.00 worth of damage to the truck box, damage that had been hidden under that heavy duty mat I did have further conversation via text message with the Sales Manager and he offered no real resolution just going round and round in circles. No offer of any amount of money off of the purchase was given. I emailed upper management and not even a response to my email. They could not care less. Buyer Beware. My recommendation would be, do not buy from Wheaton Chevrolet Red Deer.

My car wasn't pulled into the garage until 11:30am and when I asked the service counter about the delay, they told me another car had taken longer than usual and they had to finish with that car before starting on mine. I was having a "rock chip shield" installed which should have taken 30 minutes. At 12 noon I asked again if my car was ready and they told me not quite yet as they were having trouble getting the rock shield to stay on on hood. They ended up taking the first rock shield off and trying a new different one, which fit. The whole process took about 2 hours and I was not impressed. I have since sold my Honda and moved to a different vehicle, which I love. Probably won't buy another Honda as they are WAY too expensive. And although I do agree that Honda vehicles are high quality cars, the astronomical price you pay is for the Honda logo.

Less than 6 months and 6,000kms later we took it in to get front end noise checked out. The front shocks and control arms needed replacing (clearly had been needed for a long time), as well as needing some other work, quote of $4,000. They refused to cover any of it. I spoke to the manager once, he said he would get back to me, but never did and wouldn't return my calls. We went somewhere else to get the work done and will not go back to Honda Red Deer.

They probably almost shit their pants seeing that coming at them, it isn't a small piece. Cam Clark Ford Service manager first of asked me if I wanted to replace it as most people just remove it because it usually gets wrecked. I said I have had it for 7 years already...you, Cam Clark Ford in Red Deer Alberta will be replacing for free and I will not be charged for it. They agreed...whoopie. No apology for the incident or the shit service. She did ask what she could could do to make it better, I said I just want my vehicle fixed so I can drive my vehicle to work. So she arranged for me to have a loaner, however at the 30 min before I was to drop my vehicle off at the dealership I get a call from Enterprise to confirm if I still need the loaner and that I will have use my credit card to put a 300 dollar deposit for it and that I would be responsible for the gas that I use with the loaner. Excuse me but you have a whole fucking parking lot with vehicles that I could have used while you fixed my vehicle the second time and lord knows hopefully correctly this time. Needless to say, I will never go there again and I will tell every person I know what they did and the shit service they provided. Don't believe the positive bullshit reviews because this is a honest one.

While the service techs are usually quite nice, I seemed to be "bothering" them that day. I also had a "check engine" light on and asked if they could check it. They did, for $109 (most auto part stores do that for free). I was told that my engine light indicated that I needed some sensors changed out and a tune up - to the cost of $700. I decided to wait as that seemed like a lot of money. I borrowed a friends code reader and all that came up was that my fuel mixture was running a little lean. I was able to turn off the engine light through the code reader and it has not turned back on in weeks. $100 blown for "engine code reading" and $700 save for what I imagine was unnecessary repairs. Hopefully, if I go back again I will have a better experience.

I was asked why this wasn't something I would take to management, but honestly, I assumed encountering any number of aggressive sales tactics from any lot was part of the hard knocks you receive when making a car purchase. This one was extreme, but still like I said, part of the "experience". I am adding a star in this update for effort. However, I don't know if I am going to take them up on their offer. When it comes again time for me to purchase another vehicle, when I go to check out inventories, I'd like to avoid any pretense. Again, the effort is appreciated. Yelp 30 Day Challenge: 3/30
