Music added the extra push for the last few hours of the party that would not exist if it were not for Velocity. Evan Ledman was our DJ and was able to make a personal connection with my wife and I before/during our wedding. A personal connection is something you want when planning your special event because it is all about what you want for your special day/event. Velocity/Evan was able to do so with ease. Our wedding was easily the hottest day of the year, but you would not be able to guess that while looking at our DJ's (Bob Forseman and Evan Ledman). From the first time my wife and I met with the two of them, we realized that Velocity was going to make our party a real event. Even though dinner was outside in the 100* heat, Evan made sure that we had what we needed to make any sort of toasts or announcements. He assisted with the timing with our caterer (Shoup's) so that everything went as planned. Evan worked with my wife and I so that we were able to keep everything on point with our schedule. Before he did anything, he made sure that we were in the right place and ready for the next thing. All th way to the last song, our event was incredible. The dance floor was constantly packed, and if there was a song that was playing that we did not want to hear, we were able to ask Evan and Bob to skip it, and they made a smooth transition into a new song. The lighting was phenomenal. Needless to say, our wedding was a hit and it was partly because of the planning and dudiligence of Velocity Sound. Highly recommended!!!

He was always quick to respond by email or phone to any inquiry that we had during the planning process. More importantly, he was amazing on our big day! We had an outdoor wedding and it rained putting a delay on the original timeline of our event. Without any prompt from us or urgency by Greg, he helped coordinate with our venue and us so that we could still accomplish everything we had scheduled. He kept our wedding flowing properly, made sure our guests were aware of every moment of the night with properly timed announcements and of course he kept the dance floor popping all night long! He even helped our venue find the charger to our Polaroid camera that we forgot to charge, so that our guests could take pictures to add to our guest book. If you are in need of a DJ for your wedding or event, then look no further as you will not find a better individual to handle your big day and you won't find a DJ at a better price either. He arrived 90 minutes late, was not prepared when guests entered or when the bridal party arrived, and ended up playing our entrance song off my brother in law's phone, because he didn't have the song we requested. This was after we emailed him a 5 page itinerary and playlist of each song we wanted. Basically, we did the work for him and he still didn't get it together. He was the most unprofessional service provider I have ever encountered. I am STILL apologizing to our guests for his rude comments to them and to me as well, and we are still hearing stories of such comments. He announced to the room after the mother/son dance that my husband (after dancing with his MOTHER) should ' enjoy tonight, because after tonight he won't be 'getting any' for a long time.' This was just the tip of the iceberg of the inappropriate comments. He had no idea what the schedule was, even though I emailed it to him and he confirmed he received it. He ran 90 minutes late and WE had to call HIM to see where he was. He was argumentative with the bridal party and any guest who requested a song or asked him to stick to the playlist we created for him. He told other guests I said he couldn't play their requests....completely untrue! The songs he decided to play on his own were terrible, especially when you consider we paid him to play the list we provided!!! At one point, he was arguing with a groomsman about the lighting in the room and there was NO music playing!!! It was awful!! He was seen at the bar throughout the night, and mentioned smoking pot to a bridesmaid. He has not returned my emails or calls as of yet either. I even had other vendors offer to testify about his HORRIBLE and unprofessional performance. Honestly, these are just SOME of the horrible stories from that night. Please keep all of this unprofessional behavior in mind when considering him for your event. I wish I had seen a review like this so I could have avoided hiring him!
