The interior is straight forward with ordering at the counter and then picking it up when done. The are a number of great beverage choices and of course chips or maybe even some pasta salad to go with your meal. We started with the Ranch Jawn with Calabrian hot buffalo roasted chicken, greens, Rantcha sauce on toasted garlic bread. I was expecting a sort of chicken parm vibe, but it was completely different. The chicken is shredded with a nice heat to it. The greens are super crunchy with the tangy Rantcha sauce. If I would have to describe it, I would say it tastes like a buffalo chicken Caesar salad sandwich. What it does really works and makes for a light summer meal. Up next we tried the Bear with cool roast beef, melted provolone, Balsamic Peporonata , Pepper Shooter aioli on a toasted seeded long roll. The roast beef was succulent and tender and a decent portion! The Peporonata, sweet peppers slowly cooked with onions, olive oil and tomatoes provided a nice sweetness to the sandwich. It was interesting that the melted provolone was on the bottom of the bun which was just the right level of cheesy goodness. Finally, we ordered the sandwich that put them on the map. The Such a Nice Italian Boy with Mortadella (with pistachio) , hot and sweet Soppressata , chili relish, burrata, red onion, greens, tomato, sharp provolone with a homemade Italian vinaigrette on a ciabatta roll. I can see why this sandwich is the foundation in which the Pass is built upon. We ordered it to go for later and the owner was gracious enough to pack the wet elements in separate containers. The meats were much like the Bear super tender and sliced thin. What really brought it all home was the chili relish and the vinaigrette which totally elevated the sandwich to a new level! It was a total flavor bomb and one of the best Italian sandwiches I've had. This place is great for a sit-down lunch, but I think it is a great place to pack a picnic lunch to take to the beach in Mt. Pleasant.

I appreciate the fresh ingredients (burrata) and the meat piled to the top. Despite its height, the sandwich was cut neatly and easy to eat. I ate half immediately and had the other half for dinner. It's definitely a splurge and not my favorite Italian sandwich (the ciabatta was a little hard) but it certainly is good!

It was a brisk Thursday evening here in Charleston And I had not had dinner yet that evening. And so, I didn't think my friend will really drive me around to find dinner, so I opted to find something here at Gobble Gobble food truck during my short stint here. First impressions were that it is still the food truck. They have a small and a very limited menu. I opted for the Grassfed beef burger, which seem to be a good and logical choice of all the options presented. I did not know what the potato rounds were initially, but I assumed it was more or less french fries. So I got those too. It was cool that they actually came to the brewery since they knew that I was staying there and they got my to go order wrapped up nicely and present it to me there instead of waiting actually at the food truck itself. It was cool because I did not know whether or not they knew I was in the area after the order or went elsewhere. I ended up eating my dinner back at the hotel, because I was really hungry after taking two beers at the Palmetto brewery, and wanted to actually enjoy it back at the hotel while watching television. The meal was rather good and delicious. I really have Grassfed beef anyway so it was a real treat for me. It was cool, I enjoyed it quite nicely. The overall experience here at gobble, gobble food truck here in Charleston, South Carolina was pretty good and friendly. I'll be in casual and very convenient for me to grab dinner instead of having to look around. The service here was really good and friendly. I was indecisive for maybe a few minutes but thankfully I made a good choice here. The guy at the counter was patient enough with me to wait for me to decide. For the most part though, it was actually pretty cool to have them here alongside the Palmetto brewery because you can have a meal with your beers instead of just beers. The surprising fact that they do "delivery service" is pretty cool. I am assuming that the tables that were set up outside the Palmetto brewery or shared with the brewery with the Food truck business. I am sure they complement each other in many ways and the table area is just one of them. I'm sure. Also, if you find yourself, I think a drink or two or maybe even more, consider coming here for dinner at the Gobble Gobble food truck and maybe grab a pint or two from the Palmetto brewery and have a great delicious meal. With that in mind, I'd recommend the grass fed burger but I've only had the one. Come during dinner time and you'd be glad you did. Best part of the experience is that you don't need plastic cutlery for this. All finger foods at your finger tips. Gobble Gobble Food truck is located at 289 Huger Street in Charleston, SC. I'm not sure if they do multiple locations or just stay here next to the Palmetto Brewery as a permanent fixture, but on a balmy Thursday evening in February 2023, it was there and I took full opportunity for my dinner options. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. While the area is definitely semi industrial, don't be intimidated by it all. It looks sketchy at night but it's okay when you're with friends and not alone. Physically speaking. As far as parking goes, your best bet would be the parking lot underneath the i-26. That would fit probably 20 ish cars or vehicles. If that's filled up, best thing to do is to find street parking nearby and walk on over. If you are big on CARTA public transport or even the DASH shuttles, consider the right routes for you and head on down. Oh of course, Uber and Lyft are always there if you need them. I inevitably get the question "who has the best BBQ?" to which my response is always any state can have great or poor BBQ these days. That leads me to writing a review of Melvin's BBQ in Mount Pleasant. Located in a fairly easy location to access in Mt Pleasant but depending on the time of day traffic can be horrible, Melvin's has an extremely modest exterior. I'll admin I never went inside, but through the drive-thru. The service was fast and the people were nice. I'll start off with the sides. First up, I've been craving REAL onion rings for some time. I've had it with the prefrozen, fast food garbage and wanted the real deal. Melvin's rings are a step above but I admit, they had way too much breading to onion ratio. A lot of mustard Q sauce made me forget that indiscretion. Another item I've been craving for years is hash. Well again I believe it was an average effort. I didn't detect much meat, rather a lot more filler veggies than an assortment of meats. This affects the flavor as texture tricks the mind; an example is spaghetti & macaroni noodles, same ingredients but hits the mouth different. Back to the point, the hash left me craving - hash. That said the rice was really good and if the meat volume was increased this would have been a "winner winner hash dinner." I got the spare ribs and it was above average as I was expecting less resistance when biting down and pulling away. The smoke was on point but if I'm splitting hairs could have used a wee bit more, but I'm being overly lustful. Part of my disappointment is I literally just had BBQ twice in Texas within the last two months and the ribs; spare and babyback. Sorry, Texas rules in BBQ, in this case technique as SC is the Pig Capital. As for the pulled pork sandwich - pure bliss. The pork was moist and flavorful while having the perfect amount of meat piled high on a soft bun. That and I love the Golden BBQ sauce. This sandwich is worth its weight in gold! In summary, I went to another Melvins growing up. Once a month my dad and I would stop in and get a BBQ sandwich and onion rings on the way to the lake. These memories have stuck with me and while the onion rings are a tad off, the sandwich is exactly what I remember which brought a smile to my face.
