I love the simplicity of traditional street tacos. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked and when done correctly like this you don't need to add in a ton of sauce or additions. That being said, I am a sauce girl by nature and I would love to see a spicer version of their orange sauce. I finally got to try these tacos after reading so many reviews. The good, they are relatively inexpensive ($3 per taco, taxes included(- they provided two sauces and a roasted jalapeño. They were very efficient in taking orders, provided a beeper to notify you when it was done. It is food truck that rotates through mp so there were basic picnic style seats (nothing fancy). I ordered the steak tacos - nothing really stood out for me - sorry! I finally got to try Cachita's Kitchen Food Truck yesterday as it was located in its usual spot on Chuck Dawley Blvd, just down from Carolina Lanterns. Parking is a breeze as the truck is located in what looks like an old parking lot right on the street. The server was super friendly and helpful to me, since I had no clue what to order. I just knew I was hungry. The Cuban is massive and I should have shared. I can see why this truck is always busy, it always has people in line. I thought I shared a review for them a while ago but not seeing it so here we go. I ran into this truck at the Strawberry Festival at Boone Hall Farms. I always see them posted up on Chuck Dawley and wanted to try them so I made a point to skip the fair food in exchange for tacos. OK I gave this place three stars to be kind but I changed my mind after two more tries... The food was awful it took forever and they gave me a mess of soggy tacos that I would've rather just thrown away if I hadn't been so hungry and they weren't bite sized! Literally one or two bites!... they constantly want to up charge you for stuff so you have to watch out that they don't rip you off and the whole place just seems dirty! Freaking amazing! I'm not even kidding, it was delicious. I order the calchiburrito. The meat I chose was the asada steak. It was so flavorful! It came with two different sauces. The red was way too spicy for me, and I do love a bit of spice, but it was too much. The green sauce was more to my liking. Still plenty of spice. The burrito was huge! I couldn't even finish it! I've been driving by this food truck for the last few days and finally decided to stop and check it out. Menu is varied and I just asked for whatever they recommended that was popular. I got the Cachiburrito which came with two sauces and a pepper. The red sauce is spicy! Gives a great kick. The green sauce is milder but flavorful.
