I am still blown away by the wonderful job Porsha did on my makeup for Barrister's Ball (law school prom). I came in on a Friday and she spent all of her time making sure my face and makeup looked perfect and was exactly what I wanted. Although she also had to juggle greeting and checking out other guests, I never felt as though I was rushed or that I wasn't getting her best effort. Rather, not only was she incredibly nice and easy going, but she made the whole process fun. She also brought the makeup I envisioned in my head to life. She is truly talented and made me look absolutely stunning. I usually go to the MAC store by my home at King of Prussia but was in the Cherry Hill area and decided to stop by. I should have just drove to KoP; the service is stellar there. I went into the CH mall MAC store to pick up two lipsticks. Walked into the store, was a little busy.. Not too bad. Wasn't greeted by anyone, the only one who did say hi after about 5 minutes in the store was a makeup artist in the middle of a session. I couldn't find where the stock of lipstick was after looking through the drawers, so I waited in line since no one was walking the floor. After a family checked out and left, the Asian cashier didn't even acknowledge me and walked to the back. About two minutes later she returned with a blonde cashier who just stared at me then asked if I needed something. Well, isn't it obvious? I'm standing in line right? I asked her to grab me two lipsticks so she asked the Asian cashier to grab them. Now, in proper customer service, there should have been two scenarios... 1) She should have went and grabbed the lipsticks and had the Asian cashier ring the people behind me. Or 2) she should have ringed the two lipsticks and taken care of my transaction first and then gave me my lipsticks when the Asian rep came back. The Asian cashier returned with my two lipsticks and instead of ringing me out, she set aside the lipsticks and took the next people in line... WHAT?! Totally ridiculous. I kept my cool then the blonde cashier said that I was next, ha. So I go up to pay and while I'm in the middle of my transaction all I hear are the two cashiers talking smack about the family that left when I was in line previously. So unprofessional and rude. After I paid, I grabbed my bag and left... No goodbye from the cashiers. I spent years working in retail but never, ever treated customers the way I was treated at the MAC store today. This location needs to retrain or maybe even rehire the entire location; talking about customers is inexcusable. Instead of being professionals, the workers acted like catty high schools girls.. Looks bad for the company. Will never return to that location, should have just gone to the MAC counter at Macy's or something. read more

Helpful friendly staff and awesome products! Can be super busy so try to make an appointment if you want makeup done for an occasion. Amada is great at teaching if you need a lesson and Reina and Sean Marie are super fun and talented. I've always have good experiences here. read more

I walked into the store today in need of major beauty help, and did not have an appointment. Even though the store was very busy, Ashley managed to give me a complete makeover & handle customers at the same time. She was the ultimate pro! Ashley did an amazing job and convinced me to stray from my normal colors. I also learned how to properly apply my make-up. I am incredibly pleased with the products I purchased & the service I received! I will DEFINITELY make appointments in the future, with Ashley, to have my make-up applied for special events! Everyone working today was very wonderful & welcoming even though they were all very busy with customers. They are also all gorgeous, too, so you know your going to leave there looking & feeling the same way! I was to Mac last weekend at first I was all excited with my purchase. I got brushes lip gloss and lip stick and eyebrow Palett, concealer and then a powder foundation. The upsetting part is a I explained to the young lady I have foundation. She up-sales me I ended spending $271. Mind you i don't know anything about make up it's like another language. I'm so upset Bc I didn't even get my makeup done with such a huge purchase. I will not go back to Mac. Mind you there was four-five workers on and one other customer getting her make up done. read more

I went to the store and didn't know much about make up. I needed some tips on finding a good foundation and lip stick and Porsche helped me out. Porsche was so down to earth and nice to me, she treated me as if I was a friend vs. a customer, superb customer service!!!. Writing on behalf of my fiancee. She spent almost 2 hours waiting to be serviced on November 11th after both, calling ahead to confirm their availability and again making the staff aware that she was waiting to be serviced for her makeup, upon arrival. For an hour and a half she was not serviced, even though after one of the artists became available. At this point she asked the artist again if she was next in line, to which the artist confirmed. After waiting for almost 2 hours the artist finally arrived back at her station only to then service another customer who had arrived 2 hours after my fiancee. She then left the store unannounced because if she hadn't then she would have been made late for our engagement photoshoot an hour later. I am unsure if this type of service is common for this store, but one thing is assured that she will not be coming back to this store or likely any other MAC store. I expect the MAC corporation to hold these employees accountable for their negligence in order to improve customer service in the future read more

I had my makeup done over the weekend by Sean and he did such a good job. I was on my way to a wedding and everyone at the wedding complemented me. The only thing I had to do at MAC, was show Sean what I wanted and he matched to picture to a T. He was such a nice guy and also nice to everyone who came into the store. If you're going in to buy makeup and you have questions, I don't recommend going on a weekend since every makeup artist is busy with appointments. In addition, if you are scheduling an appointment, id recommend scheduling 3 hours prior to the "end time" that you have in mind. For example I scheduled my appointment at 12 because I had to leave MAC by 1:30. I went into the store before my scheduled time hoping they would take me early. Lucky for me, a bridal party don't show up and I was taken around 11:40 am. MAC employees have to do makeup appointments, answer phones, check customers out and answer questions of all other customers in the store while they are doing your makeup so this can be time consuming. I have 3 more weddings coming up this year and I definitely anticipate getting my makeup done (by Sean) at least one more time. read more

I came in the other day looking for a few new products for my very fair skin. Kryssa immediately greeted me with a positive attitude and was extremely helpful, matching me with a perfect foundation (the face and body, because it turns out I don't need a whole lot of coverage) and recommending some other products as well. She was very knowledgeable and her positivity made an impact on my day. I will definitely be returning to this store when I need some more retail therapy! read more

Called to schedule to get makeup done for my engagment photos. The girl on the phone told me they no longer do makeup... MAC NO LONGER DOES MAKEUP? (weird....) and that if I wanted to come in the would apply makeup on half my face leaving me to mirror the other half... LIKE WHAT?! MAC has always been my go to for getting my makeup done and the make up I buy- this is a serious turn off! read more

I was so hesitant to go into this location because recently I had been having a lot of trouble matching my foundation to my skin. Now I am not a professional, but I am familiar with makeup but I just couldn't seem to get in right with my "winter" skin. When I entered the store I was immediately greeted by Porsha and it was a smooth transition from there. I explained to her that i had used match master before but it no longer worked for me and she assured me that I'd leave with the perfect foundation and I did! She took her time, even collaborated with Reina who is also awesome and together they made me a happy shopper. So much so, that I returned the following week for a new pallet and some glosses. Porsha was finishing up with a customer, and a girl named Jess offered to assist me but she was rude so I declined. There was a few customers in the store at the time, and I'm not sure if it was a long day but that is still no way to engage with customers. First impressions go a long way! If you need help, or a refresher course like me on how to match your products go see Porsha or Reina!!!! I'll definitely be going back to see them. They have become family! read more

I went into the Cherry Hill Mall MAC Cosmetics because I wanted to hand in my 6 empties! Patrick was helping me. When I told him I wanted to get a free lipstick I could tell he was annoyed because it wasn't going to help at Sales. So he didn't want to give me suggestions or help me pick the lipgloss. When I got to the register I decided to also purchase a pallet. I handed him my six empties and he told me that one of them was fake and mascara that I had that I got as a gift. Instead of letting me get the lip gloss he took the mascara that I gave him and wouldn't give it back to me yet he gave me the other five products I had back. I was really disappointed because I drove from Deptford to come to the Cherry Hill Mall to hand in my empties and for him to turn me down because of one empty was a big disappointment. When I told him I wouldn't be purchasing the pallet then he showed me off and was like OK bye have a nice day. That was really upsetting I came here with expectations to get what I needed and I left feeling like I did something wrong when in fact she was cold and rude and didn't want to help me. Also I'd like to mention how the store was completely empty and I was the only one in the store. It's funny because I actually know Patrick because I always admired his make up artistry when I used to freelance at Macy's. So it's disappointing for somebody to treat me the way I was treated. He wouldn't give me back my product that I want to the store with. And I'm going to file a corporate complaint because I used to work for MAC Cosmetics in 2013 and I know it my counter if something like this happen the customer would always be treated fairly and right. This store has to be the most absolute rudest store ever. For years of coming here because it is the closest MAC available to me, I have been treated like an annoying teenager with no money just laundering their store. I sat in there once completely ignored for 25 minutes while other people were greeted without hesitation then after 25 minutes one of the girls goes "are you being helped" when i know she saw me when I first walked in. They are rude and the supervisor is rude too. One day one of their employees told me they don't take appointments on weekends which after going there for so long i knew was a lie. So i get there that saturday that I needed my make up done and they tell me I need to make an appointment but do they allow walkins which I was told I would have to wait 4 hours. I tell the supervisor what I was told a couple days before and she seems so unsympathetic while her and crew give me glares for being upset about it. The customer service here sucks and only girl knows how to do make up of that. Go to the mac in nordstroms if you need mac stuff because they are 10x nicer and do a better job with make up. read more

I started going to MAC 5 years ago with my oldest when her foundation looked orange. Now I bring my girls for makeup tips and techniques and a really good product that lasts. Yesterday, it was the youngest's turn - almost 14. She wanted to learn how to do makeup before school starts. We were so happy that Gwen was working. She has also helped us several times in the past. Gwen spent a TON of time with my youngest teaching her how to put on makeup that looks great for every day and also how to ramp it up for maybe a dance, etc.but still not look trashy (my word). After spending a lot of time with my youngest, my oldest asked to learn a smoky eye for clubs, etc. and Gwen also helped her. It was, as always, a great experience. Gwen is super knowledgable, very nice and makes you feel comfortable, she has GREAT customer service. I just cannot say enough. We left with great products and the know how to use them. No one offered to help until I asked, and then they said they were out of both products I was interested in (though they took such a cursory look that I'm not sure I believe the products weren't actually there). This review is solely based on my experiences with Seanmarie. she helped me over the summer when I was in dire need of a concealer before a friend's wedding weekend. This past Friday, I had walked into the store very stressed out and in need of some make up help (I had work headshots in an hour and I looked quite dimensionless). Seanmarie's shift was almost over but she stayed an extra 25 minutes just to deal with my make-up woes and concerns instead of handing me off in the middle of a session.
