Hair-cut: I have very long, fine hair and I wanted to add layers without thinning it out. Danielle did a fantastic job of cutting it so it looks great in the back and also framed my face beautifully. I also appreciated that when framing my face she did it based on where I normally part my hair. It is a pet peeve of mine when hairdressers insist on parting it down the middle when I never wear my hair that way. Up-do: I had no idea what kind of up-do I wanted. Danielle was great at asking questions like where I was going and what dress I was wearing to help me figure it out. She then pulled up an inspirational photo from pinterest and nailed it! She knew that my hair doesn't hold very well and kept that in mind, which was another huge bonus, as I am so sick of stylists telling me that it was going to hold b/c of some special trick they knew (it has never worked). She kept that in mind when curling it (over curling now so it's perfectly curled when time for photos) and in picking the bun style. My hair held all day and into the evening. Additionally, she had framed my face in such a way that once the curl was gone from my bangs, it still looked pretty. I strongly recommend her to anyone. She clearly had a strong fundamental knowledge of different hair types and excellent skills to boot.

I've done darker stretched root balayages as well as lighter balayages, with a tight root, which grow out very nicely and are low maintenance for busy (read lazy) ladies like myself. A lot of stylists say they know how to do a good balayage, but Ashley always does an amazing job (way better than some of the stylists my friends go to, but I won't name names, haha).

I didn't want to straighten my hair or look super demure and soft -- I wanted my bouncy, tight curls but elevated, a hot pink lip, rosy cheeks, purple shadow and lots of highlight -- the team really listened to me and made it all happen. I worked with Stacy (hair) and Dee (makeup) for my look and they were lovely and fun and really skilled. They were also really easy to talk to and connect with. After my consultation with them, I gave them feedback that they ended up incorporating into my final wedding look. There are so many talented hair stylists and make-up artists out there, but communication is just as important. Dee ended up going out and getting some extra eyeshadows that were a better fit for what I wanted and Stacy used a smaller curler to give me a tighter curl. Stacy and Dee's ability to take my notes and create a look that better aligned with my vision makes them better at what they do and that's why I can 100% recommend working with them. They will listen to you and work on giving you what you want and what makes you happy and that is the marker of an amazing hair/makeup artist. Stacy, Dee along with the other 2 artists glammed up my 6 bridesmaids along with my mom and mother-in-law. They did a FANTASTIC job and in a record amount of time too. Everyone looked and felt amazing and praised their work. Everyone's looks lasted through the entire day and night (and in some cases until the next day too). Capelli + Trucco are worth the money. I found them to be very affordable compared to other quotes that I received and they did amazing work. They were also flexible with rescheduling (due to the pandemic) and honoring rates. I do want to mention that during my working with them, they had a switch in management during which communication halted for several weeks, but once Katy took over, communication went back to normal and I didn't have any issues afterward.

(1) Claudia late, with no call as to her whereabouts. (2) She "arranged" only the front of my hair, and did nothing to "dress" the back of my head. I had to re-do much of what she had done, as her "style" made me look like a "milk maid". (3) She used the same foundation and powder on me (rosy complexion) as she used on the mother of the bride, a fair skinned blonde. I had to wash nearly all of the makeup off when I returned to my room and discovered my face was yellow, an unnatural shade for me, and this would be clearly visible to all when dressed in my gown. (4) One of the bridesmaids had to walk downstairs to the salon because of Claudia's tardiness...she ran out of time. I tried contacting Claudia after the wedding to discuss my concerns with her. After all, I paid more than $120 (2010) for the services she provided me. Claudia never returned my calls. I would never recommend anyone to use Claudia for an important event, she is apparently too busy to care.

Finally, she emailed me out of the blue and asked if I wanted to do my trial on a certain date. I was nervous b/c she had been so hard to reach but I decided it was worth it b/c I had heard good things so I said that date was fine. She never responded to the email saying she got my response so I was just left to assume we were on. Two days before our trial I emailed her to confirm and she canceled on me b/c she had a better offer come up. She gives off an attitude like she is famous and she is impossible to get in touch with. She may be a good make-up artist, I don't know, but I know at least for a wedding, you want people you can count on.
