She proceeded to take me to a frigid room, where she asked "what do you want." I told her I was four months postpartum and wanted a massage preferably laying on my side or back, to which she told me "I am not trained to do massages on the side or back" and stated she had the client face down the entire time. Having had massages done for over 20 years, I have never heard of a masseuse who is hired untrained to perform massages unless the client is solely on the back. Nor have I heard of a spa who books massages without specifying that the masseuse may be unable to do a massage at all if you are unable to lie on your stomach after you inform them you are postnatal from a c section. After I told her I guess I would cancel the massage because she kept shrugging stonefaced while telling me "I just can't do it," she promptly left the room and began gossiping with another masseuse down the hall. I literally had to call out after her "can you at least show me the way out?" given the lack of exit signs in Spavia's dark hallway. Caitlin rolled her eyes and sarcastically asked "you are not going to change into your clothes?" and I told her I needed the locker room. She wordlessly showed me the way before rolling her eyes again and stalking off. Please avoid booking with this woman Caitlyn and Spavia in general. Also, Caitlin came to collect me at 12:59pm (though I could hear her chatting with someone in the hallway well before then) so that my 1:00pm appointment time could start ticking away while she led me to the room, did intake, have me get ready, etc. No waiver or paperwork regarding massage goals was done at all, though it is unlikely she would have reviewed it anyway. I would also avoid this Spavia location for safety reasons.

However, my follow-up visit was very unprofessional. After I received a request to return for post- evaluation, I indicated that I liked my eyebrows; however, there were a couple of very minor corrections that were required, which the owner agreed. Specifically, one eyebrow ink was lighter than the other and one had more of a slight angle at the base than the other. Again, minor corrections. I asked why one side was lighter, and I was informed that it was how my skin "took" the ink. Although. I didn't have this issue when I had them done several years ago at another establishment. Nevertheless, I was told that there would be a fee to make the corrections. I then informed the owner that I would also like to widen my brows slightly. I provided a picture with brows similar to mine, but a tad wider at the base, which I knew would be an additional fee. Instead of honoring my wish, the owner kept interrupting me when I was informing her that I simply wanted them to be a little fuller. I then indicated that I don't care what it cost, I just want them the way "I" want them. She then engaged her mother in the conversation to persuade me otherwise, which frustrated me, but I was respectful to her mother for being placed in that position. I finally indicated to the owner, after biting my tongue, that I will not continue to justify my eyebrow preference and her irritating, talkative, dismissive attitude. I informed her that I would have them corrected and adjusted somewhere else, and I left the building. As I was in my vehicle getting ready to leave, her mother came out and apologized for her daughter's behavior, and indicated if she said anything to offend me, please accept her apology. I informed her that she did nothing wrong; her daughter was unprofessional. Her mother made every attempt to convince me to make another appointment, but I was not interested. Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a very kind and professional woman, but I do not tolerate disrespect from anyone. Further, money is not an issue for me, which I stated several times, because I wanted all the sarcastic and persuasive conversation to cease and an appointment to be made based on my requests. Dr. T. Had my first (and by far NOT my last) experience with Nikki Jay this past weekend! She's like a fairy princess who comes in, sprinkles her magic pixie dust and makes you look and feel BEAUTIFUL. I absolutely loved her work. As a photographer I pay close attention to EVERY detail. No need to worry with her. She knows her stuff. And just one last note ... I love love love Nikki. She did my makeup for my senior homecoming this year and it was perfect. She came to my house on time and was so nice and funny. All her products were amazing quality and she didn't take forever to do my makeup either. Also, I had been tanning for homecoming, but my face was still pale. I understand that scheduling mistakes can happen, but I was disappointed that there wasn't more effort made to accommodate the situation. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. However, I did end up finding a salon right around the corner called Tiffany Nails & Spa and they were extremely accommodating.
