Another body shop quoted over $2400. Rye Subaru screws its customers in every way to save a dime! They have no concerns if the hood's new paint matches with the side panels' existing paint! They did not sell us a brand new car as the contract indicates. It is breach of contract and fraudulent advertising. We are hiring an attorney to sue Rye Subaru and Subaru America! Despite that we had 3 Subarus before, this will be our LAST Subaru. The entire company conducts itself in an extremely low manner as a fly-by-night tiny and shady business! So they want to save about $800 in extra paint job to screw us. Their customer service tactics are the same as United Healthcare's - Delay, Deny and Defend! So I brought the bike back to brooklyn and to Edgewares. The owner of the shop stopped what he was doing to come take a cursory look. When the battery was fizzing he knew there was a bigger issue so instead of promising a quick turn around he said he wanted to find the real problem but it could take time, and he'd follow up with an estimate. I appreciated the quick review and honest timeline. I got a call later that he had discovered some glitchy wires that may have also been shorting the battery and he had contacted rad wagon and found it. It was under warranty and was able to get me a replacement bike. I was floored! I was happy to pay for set up of the new bike as they had put a lot of time into it. When I realize I had forgotten the key lock for the battery when picking up the new bike they came to my house a mile and a half away to pick it up. It was incredible customer service. I have two ebikes and kid bikes and this place will be my go to for servicing in the future !
