When we were there, the place was surprisingly full with customers of all ages. The family sitting nearby seemed like regulars as the kids knew exactly what they wanted and how spicy they did or did not want their food. What can I say the food is delicious! There are so many Asian restaurants out there quintessentially serving the same stuff...not here! I started off with a rose flavoured drink with lychees, only because it sounded interesting and I was curious as to how it might taste. It was surprisingly good, I half expected an over perfumed beverage. Thankfully not! For starters we went with the Orange Chicken off the 'specials' menu (sorry I can't remember the price of that dish) and the Rissoles (€4) filled with a chicken ragout and vegetables. Both were appetizing, the orange sauce was really good... I mean it was an orange sauce, something I never really get too excited about but have to say this was thumbs up situation. I followed this with Rawon Black Beef (€10) which wasn't as dark as I had envisioned, I imagined it to be black as night, but my over active imagination gave way to a melt in your mouth beef dish steeped in a rich brown spicy sauce so I was easily appeased. We also had a stir fried vegetable salad as a side dish... pretty average nothing special there otherwise I found the food totally agreeable. It suited my bf's palette too. He really liked the different lingering flavours of his Bebek Sayur Lodeh, which was duck in spicy chilli and coconut milk, also for around €10. He even remarked that he would definitely have that again and he doesn't get as excited about food as I do!
