The store is impeccably cleaned, stocked well, and has a nearly perfect layout. The selection is excellent, and they even offer the complimentary service of shipping an item to your home if the location is out of stock but the item is available elsewhere. The quality of every item I tried on was exceptional. Even if it weren't for the Saleperson being so wonderful I would have upsold myself (speaking of, every upsell attempt was done professionally and subtly, with not one ounce of pressure and only for items I showed interest in). What sold me to keep shopping after I tried on the first item was that the fit and look of items on smaller-built customers was the same fit and look I had as a larger gent. Even with all that awesome, the service I received is what I appreciated most. I purposefully pull a Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman' dressed down thing when I go shopping so I can make sure I don't give my money to businesses who negatively profile shoppers. I received the exact same welcome as shoppers who were dressed more in line with the items Johnston & Murphy carries. I also never felt "plus size judgment", and even benefited from the Saleperson's keen eye: she could tell at a glance what my size was and what would fit me well. I felt welcomed and respected at every point throughout my shopping experience. Clearly, I am a fan and hope people will stop in when they visit The Outlets or check out their local J&M store. The shoe people don't work on commission or anything so whatever shoes are recommending to you. It's based on the fact that the shoes are what your feet need based on the scan. The employees are always super, super helpful and super knowledgeable, and they also have a wide array of orthotics, braces, and workout gear. Wearing the right shoe is going to be the biggest value possible to your feet long-term. Make your feet happy and get them the correct sneakers and don't just wear the shoes that you think are going to benefit your feet turns out I'm often wrong. My feet are much happier now. Plus they have an app so you can get points and stuff just like add a big chain store but you're still shopping local.
